Dermatology reviews in Great Falls

    Gurney, Dr. Robert W.
I had the worst experience with him. The time I went to him he was very good and then he called me and I had great health problems. He gave me the wrong medication which he admitted himself. When I came, he gave me some treatment which was completely the wrong diagnosis. When I got antibiotics for that, I got very adverse reactions after a week and he said it was the wrong medication and he had to give me something else, and he said that I had to continue the antibiotics for at least 30 days. Meaning that although it was the wrong medication, I was on this antibiotic for more than a month and it ruined my stomach. I lost 15 pounds. He receives patients one after the other and it is 5 or 10 minutes maximum. He asks if you want something else. He is so good that he detects what is wrong with you in two to three minutes, unless you have more questions which contrary to other physicians who don't like more than one question at a time, because he finishes his diagnosis so fast, he asks any more questions, and he has the answer to this and that such that he can answer so many questions within 10 minutes. He is very popular, and you can schedule the same day which is absolutely rare. He is valuable and when you get a good doctor, they can make mistakes, and that was very serious and he took it casually. Because he is so easy to access, and he can give fast diagnosis, he is great. Seeing how successful he is, how popular he is, and how many patients go in and out of there, I guess he must be very successful and popular. This was simply carelessness. I don't go to him. The office environment is not good. Since you go in and out so quick, the punctuality is very good. Because I have an accent, the staff friendliness is not good. If I don't have my card, and I take time to find my new card, she just charges me. She feels that I am somebody who is not from here, and that is the attitude she has. They are a bit intolerant of anything that is outside the familiar environment. We all expect professionals to give equally good service to clients. He doesn't get close to you, he doesn't touch you, he identifies your problem from a distance and out you go. His communication is fast, but it is flowing, and it works for me. He doesn't get close enough to make sure the diagnosis is correct and that is not good communication. A patient has difficulty explaining things because of pressure of time. He is an elderly man, but he has had a face lift, so he looks much younger than when I first saw him. I had a very bad experience, he can be dangerous. I think the woman at the reception is his wife, and she definitely dislikes me, and she treats me disrespectfully, although there is nothing wrong with my appearance. I questioned something that maybe I shouldn't have, and she has become intolerant of me. That is why I don't want to go there on  top of the mistake.

He remembered the appearance of the spot from my previous visit and was able to give advice with further treatment. He is very nice, calm, patient, and helpful. He was right on time with the appointment and offered his help if needed in the future. He also provided free samples to see what I liked best.

1.) The doctor received me at the appointed time. Performed check-up of moles thoroughly and quickly.
2.) Identified immediately the cause of rash (allergic reaction to some cosmetics) and prescribed excellent ointment which cured the symptoms in three days.
