Chris and his employee TJ did an incredible job! Our deck had deteriorated significantly over the last 20 years and needed to be almost completely rebuilt. They cleaned up at the end of each day and would tell us when they were planning on arriving the next day and he would be right on time without fail. The work was top notch! We couldn't be happier! (an added bonus was that my dog loved them and they would always stop to give him a little love when he came outside to investigate)

The work was performed wonderfully! The price was very fair for the amount of work I had them do, they did a great job, the fellow - Bob - who came over to do the work (or the only one I happened to meet) was very friendly and very capable, and they were punctual and kept me informed via email what their schedule was and asked if the schedule worked for me. For the exterior work they let me know that I didn't have to be home for them to do the repairs. I've recommended them to some friends at work and because they have been doing such a good job at a truely fair price, I felt compelled to place this review on Angie's List.

I was scheduled a week from when I contacted them for just an estimate. I waited the week and the representative shows. He takes measurements and says he will get me a quote by the end of the week. Well it's nearing a month later and I haven't received a quote, phone call, email, NOTHING! I guess if the job isn't for $$$$$ on their end they aren't interested. If that's the case tell me upfront and not string along someone for this mythical quote you're gonna send.

Very well. The siding was improperly installed 7 years prior and was no longer available. RA Jones very careful conserved all the siding so it could all be reattached after they had done the repairs and sealing of the rough exterior of the house. The job they did the deck and gazebo was just perfect.

THI was very professional and a pleasure to work with. The Project Manager was always available when needed, very responsive, and personally ensured the quality of all work performed. I did have a slight issue with the initial installation of the new porch railings (THI subcontracted Atlantic Railing for this work). However, THI was very sensitive to my concerns and quickly resolved the issue with Atlantic Railing. The railings were taken down and new railings were fabricated/ installed. Very satisfied. (I attached before and after photos to this review.)

Called the first week of November to request estimate. Estimate was in hand by November 10th. I went to the office on November 12th to sign the contract and make initial payment. Once there I saw a huge whiteboard with all the jobs ahead of me. Sandy advised me that it most likely would be December before they would be able to get to my job. Actually seeing all the jobs ahead of me provided two things: (1) it reinforced the rating I saw on Angie's list because surely they would not be busy if their work and reputation was lousy, and (2) allowed me to be more patient in waiting for my job to commence.
The repairman, Warren, called on December 9th to set up an appointment the next day to come out to see what supplies he would actually need to purchase prior to starting the work. He stated his job was to make sure I was happy with his work during the entire process. During the job, he would constantly seek feedback as to how I thought it was looking and if I was "happy". I liked that Warren made use of as much of my good railing that he could possibly use. Many other contractors would have simply purchased new wood which may have run the price of the project higher. He always explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. He also made some suggestions to increased the odds that the railing and posts would last another 30 years. The next day the painter arrived to seal and paint all the front porch railing and posts. He also did an excellent job and sought feedback to ensure I was satisfied with his work. Warren came back the next day to take care of some finishing work and to re-install the gutter downspout.
Bottom line: I was extremely pleased with the work and more importantly the cost. It had taken me several months to fine someone willing to do the work at a price that was acceptable to me. I would definitely call on them again and recommend them as well.

    Decked Out Builders
After the holiday's we began planning for a new deck and screen porch extension.  After a lot of research using Angie's List and other means I contacted five reputable (by reputation and reviews) contractors.  Decked Out Builders in Virginia Beach touted their many awards in their advertising and their Angie's List reviews were mostly first class.
I heard from all the contacted (email with rough plan attachment) EXCEPT Decked Out Builders.  Obviously they were not interested in new work and could not afford me the courtesy of a reply.  From me they get a big fat F for lack of business manners and courtesy.

WOW! That is the most appropriate word we can think of to thank you for the quality work done on the renewal of our deck. Little did we know when we received one of those phone calls soliciting your services that we would end up with a beautiful new service on our deck! Agreeing to an estimate of that job has been one of the best decisions we have ever made regarding a home improvement project. The crew working on our deck where prompt neat and tackled some of the most difficult situations required to install the new surface boards. These men persevered through rain and heat and are to be commended for their positive attitude and workmanship. The project manager Jim and his crew are tops in our opinion. At the conclusion of the job they even cleaned up every scrap of wood and material trash from the yard leaving it looking as if they were never there! Thank you all for a job well done and you can be assured that we will recommend your services to any friends looking for a home improvement project.

They were very informative of other companies that I could use to repair the work that needed to be done. He was very up front and honest, and didn't try and do something that he wasn't capable of doing.

Chris is very responsive and is easy to work with. We were having exterior painting done and the weather wasn't always cooperative but they worked every opportunity and got our project done quickly and professionally, even with additional work that I requested. There was an area that didn't turn out as well as it should have and he is refunding the cost of that as we agreed. This was due to heavy sudden rain which was unfortunate but probably unavoidable.
