    The car failed while in the driveway.  The next day it seemed to "heal" itself.  After a conversation with the service manager it was decided to have the car towed in due to the nature of the failure and the possibility of it failing on the side of the road.  The repair was diagnosed and handled promptly.  The service manager kept us informed regarding the status of the repair.  This is typical of our experiences with this organization.

    They are phenomenon. I have taken my car to them for years. You pay 4 times for an oil change and the next one is free and that is how I started. Their prices are very reasonable and they do excellent work. If you lost something, they take it back and go over it again with you. They will make you understand whatever they did. The owener, Josh is wonderful.

    I had our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country alternator fail.  I was fairly sure it was the alternator based on the symptoms which were pulsating dashboard lights the night before, a failure to start, and an inability to keep the van running after jump starting it.  They gave me an accurate verbal quote which was about $120 less than a Firestone over the phone.  Based on that and a friend's reference, I had the van toed to them.  The AAA person had said that the battery was probably dead as it was showing a bad cell and would need to be replaced in addition to the alternator.  I told this to Tom's Auto Service so they could make sure to have one on hand, but they tested the battery and told me it was fine thus saving me some money.  To me, that was easy money for them as I was expecting to pay for the battery.  That, along with the low cost of service had won them my loyalty going forward for all my auto work.

    He did an excellent job on two vehicles.  I've had all of my vehicles detailed for years and never has it compared to the job that Mr. Woodson provided.  Taking a third vehicle to him later this week.  I would HIGHLY recommend his services.

    The original appointment was for Jan 7th at 1PM. I dropped the van off and left it. Came back 3 hours later and they were still working on it. The camera they installed went over the doors on the top brake light on the roof and the monitor was built into a rear view mirror replacement for the original mirror. When it was done, I went to adjust the mirror and it fell off in my hand. It didn't just come loose, the mount came with it along with a chunk of the windshield.  The gentleman helping me said he'd never seen this happen before. Now  you may be asking, how did they get a straight A rating after this?  Well, sometimes things just 'happen' and it's the way that a business responds to 'sh*t happens' that tells us how good they are.
    The owner was called and informed about the problem.  TruckinThunder arranged for Binswanger Glass to install a replacement windshield (which had to be ordered from Mercedes so took a few days to arrive) on 1/15/15.  Binswanger did a great job, BTW...and then I went back to TruckinThunder and they hooked the mirror back up and the camera works perfectly. So, all's well that ends well, at least for me.  I feel sorry for TruckinThunder cause the windshield costs more than the back up camera and I do not believe that they did anything wrong. But, the way they handled it made me very confident that this is a good company to do business with and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for accessories for vans or trucks. They were also very nice and polite.

    I dropped the van off on Wed 9/3/14 for detailing after talking to service advisor Brian about a horrible detailing I had done at the end of July by another company...that review is else where on Angies' list. That detailer told me that the finish on my Sprinter was oxidized and that's why it wasn't shiny and he said he could not make it look any better because the finish was bad. He suggested I go to Mercedes to tell them the paint was defective so I went to talk to Brian. Brian assured me that the paint was fine and that detailing would restore the finish. They even gave me a loaner car to use while they detailed it. Brian called today, Thurs 9/4/14 to let me know it was ready. I went and swear that If it wasn't for the license plate I would not have realized it was my van. It looks brand new! And the inside is immaculate and smells like a new car. They did an amazing job. It is SO shiny. I took before and after photos and the difference is amazing. Wish I could put the photos on here cause you would not believe how good it looks.
    I've been using this company for servicing my van and the service is ALWAYS outstanding. They are so nice and make their customers feel truly special. Mercedes service doesn't come cheap, true, but their caring, kind attitude does ease that pain.

    The salesman with whom I normally deal wasn't there, so I dealt with someone else.  The new salesman's deal was a very poor one, and I was shocked considering that I had a long history with the dealership.  I ended up taking my trade-in to another dealership which offered me double what Dominion had offered and $3000 more off of the new car's list price.
