    I contacted them via message on Angie's list a couple of months ago when it was still warm. The reason is because they did the irrigation of the new homes next to me. I thought I would give them the business. I never heard back from them. So then a few weeks later I called them. The lady I spoke to said they would call me back. They never did. Guess they don't need the work?? I saw them working on another house later that week. :-(

    Fantastic! Recently we had a situation where an underground irrigation pipe had burst and water was flooding our foundation. Randy personally drove from out of town to our home on a Sunday morning to stop the flooding. His team then not only fixed the broken pipe, they also performed the flood remediation in our crawl space (free of additional charge) and provided documentation that we were able to send to the county to have the additional water usage removed from our bill. This was all covered as part of our annual maintenance agreement with no additional charge for any of this service. This would have cost thousands of dollars using any other provider. OH, and twice each year, his team turns on and off our system, making adjustments and repairs as a routine service. EXCELLENT!!! Can't rave enough.

    I met  with Jay Davis on April 21st for a  quote of service and to make arrangements for the work, He seemed very nice and the pricing was reasonable so I said yes then and there.  On April 28th their serviceman came out for the sprinkler start up and to set controls, there was a flat charge of $65 for this.  Subsequently I needed repairs 1 VALVE and 2 Rotors, which the serviceman was able to do while here.  The total time he was on property was 1 Hour Forty Minutes.  I signed off on a service order after work completed for $167.50 which was for labor and parts, a week later I receive a bill for $232.50.  I called the office to understand why the bill was so high, the office manager Jordan explained the flat rate of $65 for start up is separate to the other labor/parts bill of $167.00.  My issue is the technician was on my property for 1 hour forty-minutes  total which included  the start up and repair. Rather than provide what I would deem good customer service and look at the big picture of the $2400.00  I had planned on spending along with the other work in the future Jay Davis simply said the spring start-up fee of 65$ is too be paid along with the 167.00.  By the way the labor rate is $75 per hour and the parts were $55.  
    I will pay the 232.50 bill since by the letter of the agreement this is what is owed.  What I will not do, is continue doing business with a company which is clearly not concerned about customer service and doing what is right.  
    One last note it took several calls and 2 weeks to even schedule the mulching and other service which had not yet been started and would not be until 5/19 almost a month after I said please do the work.  Clearly they have more business than they know what to do with. Even  If he had simply said lets use the $75 labor rate and charge me 2 hours labor (in stead of 1 hr forty actual) plus parts I would have said OK.

    He was awesome...and that's impressive considering he didn't do any work for me. What struck me - and frankly the reason I'd use him in a heart beat when needed - was the professionalism.

    He actually suggested I use a peer company of his because they'd be better suited. He could have subcontracted them and marked up the work...or done the job sub-optimally himself...but he didnt.

    He treated me like a human - not a customer/job - and he did what was in my best interest. That's pretty rare these days. If Jim can't do your job - he'll be the first to tell you.

    Miller Irrigation had come to winterize our sprinkler system in the fall and failed to notify us if there were any problems with our system so that we would be aware of any damages due to freezing.  When they returned for the spring start up there were multiple broken sprinkler heads due to water freezing. Since they did not notify us during the winterization, we do not know if the damages were from seasons prior or if it occurred this past winter.  When asked if the broken sprinkler heads were to be covered by them they said they "usually" verbally notify clients that damages would not be covered if contracts are signed late (which neither me or my husband were not notified).  
    Plus I feel that calling your clients approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving is helpful so that they aren't sitting at home wondering when you are coming.

    They rescheduled our open three times because of rain.  While here they
    repaired two sprinkler heads.  We have another head that is not working.  Today is Friday,
    I left a message about it on Monday, then Wednesday and this morning and
    finally got an appointment scheduled for 10 days from now!  They have no
    sense of urgency, their customer service representatives are not
    remotely pleasant and they don't return calls.

    Jim (the owner) came out and did my estimate. As always he was on time and very professional. He inspected my down spouts and was able to let me know what could be done.
    Lisa in the office provided me with an estimate and set up the time for them to come out and do the work. Due to another project taking longer than expected, we did have to reschedule, but Lisa and Pauline are always extremely helpful and ensure customer's are satisfied.
    One of Jim's guys, Danny came out to do the work on the newly scheduled date. He was on time and very friendly. It was obvious he knew his stuff and even took a quick moment to teach me the lost art of "Dowsing" (a very cool party trick might I add). Jim stopped by to see how everything was going and offer his thanks for choosing his company.
    First, Danny had to dig the four trenches for the new pipe. He was extremely careful and was able to roll the grass up to be saved for later. All excess dirt (which was mostly clay) was placed on a tarp and discarded appropriately. Danny back filled the trench and relayed the grass on top. He then packed it down and "fluffed" it so it was as if he was never there. 
    While there, he also turned on my sprinkler system for the season as I purchased their winterize and Spring start up program last year which was very convenient to have that done at the same time.
    I will use Miller Irrigation for my future projects.

    Problems so bad I had to hire another company to reinstall! Gasket broke in system that created flood in crawl space & cost thousands to clean & repair. Many calls with no response from this company so I was forced to go to another. That's when I learned the system had been installed improperly.

    They showed up on time and performed the inspection.  The tech was very nice and told us all about the system (even how it was installed)  He wasn't an alarmist and didn't try to make an upsell.  In the end, he winterized the system at no charge.  I think that an inspection and winterization for $65 was very fair.
