Staff and doctor were extremely professional and knowledgeable.  They answered all of my questions, and took the time to explain what they were doing throughout the various tests/procedures.

My eye pressure is just above borderline and treatment was clearly explained.  The doctor agreed to have 1 more test 3 months after checkup, since I would prefer not having to take the drops - (but I will if next visit shows no change - or an increase in pressure).

All the people were super nice and helpful. This was the best and most thorough eye exam I have ever had. Dr, Daylor explained every step of he way and incouraged my questions. All of the people were very friendly and were sincerely appreciative of my business. There is a very large asssotment of glasses to choose from. I don't remenber the lady's name wwho checked me out and scheduled my next contact check up, but she was the nicest, most helpful person in the world! This is a great place for all of your eye care!

The staff is friendly. The location in Innsbrook is very easy to get in and out of, and parking is free. The waiting area is comfortable and typical of a medical office. The wait time is reasonable, usually I arrive exactly at my appointment time and have waited 10 to 20 minutes to be seen. I have seen two of the doctors there. First, regarding a specific problem with redness in an eye. The doctor took a conservative approach and tested me for serious things while trying to avoid overmedicating. After multiple visits over the course of several months, some drops helped the issue partially and the doctor gave me a prescription for an eye drop. Over the course of these few months the issue eventually went away on its own. They never determined the exact reason for the problem. While I can't say that the doctor made an instant diagnosis and solved the problem quickly, it is fair to say that the eye is a very complex thing and I did appreciate that they made sure that the problem wasn't serious and didn't overmedicate. The charges appeared to be typical and although it does seem like a lot, it was not any more than other providers would charge, with the exception that one of my visits was for a new glasses prescription and because that exam was done by the same specialist, the charge was a lot higher than standard (about $200 vs. about $70 for a simple optometrist). There is a noticeable difference in their eye exam, it seems more advanced than the eye exams I had gotten at numerous other places over the years.

I have never been to a nicer doctor's facility than this one. Every person I dealt with was very nice and helpful. All of the doctor's and nurses I worked with seemed very knowledgeable and determined to get to the bottom of my issue. If I every have any eye care needs again I will certainly return back to this office.

    Campana, Dr. Stephen
I have really liked him. His bedside manner is wonderful. However they gave me some grief when it came to my bill. They were trying to charge me $30 each for two separate visits following cataract surgery. I appealed it and I won. Any follow up bills connected to the surgery were part of the surgery. That is the only grief that he has given me. The billing department did work with me. I had to call them several times. He is a very good doctor.

I met with Dr. Patty Daylor at Family Vision Care of Richmond. She was recommended to me by a friend. It was easy to make an appointment and the office staff was very accommodating. Dr. Daylor was punctual, considerate, and kind. She listened to me about my concerns (I have very dry eyes and so contacts can be very uncomfortable) and gave me several different types to try out. I came back a few weeks later, after trying out the different kinds, and had a follow up visit where she helped me select the best fit. I also ordered glasses. They have a great selection of frames although they are fairly pricey. I'm sure I could find cheaper frames at Walmart or something but I really liked a pair they had at Family Vision and it was just convenient to get it all at the same place. Once the frames came in, a staff member (not Dr. Daylor) helped fit them for me. After a couple days at home, however, I decided I needed to get them readjusted so I just walked in and they did it for me right there. The glasses are EXCELLENT. I've always disliked wearing glasses because I never seem to see with them as well as I do with contacts. However, these glasses are literally the best I've ever had. I think Dr. Daylor just did a great job listening to me about what I was experiencing and knew what type of lenses, etc. I needed. I definitely plan on going back to Dr. Daylor.

    Roper, Dr. Barry E.
He is fine.  He is excellent.  He has been a professor too.  He has removed a cateract from left eye a couple of years ago and it went well.  Everything about the operation is good.  He does good work and he explains well.  It's almost like he's teaching a class.  We drive 30 miles to get to him just because he is good.  His staff
