FBracken Asphalt MaintenanceCame home to find construction equipment parked in my driveway while they were refinishing my neighbors'. Thought, hm... pretty ballsey... but ok. Asked them to move so I could get in and didn't think much of it. And guys I live on a busy double yellow line road and they had equipment all over the place and no flagger or cones or signs. Nothing. Later on, more equipment in driveway, thought "ok, wish they would have asked but hey do what you gotta do on this road." Kept my eye on them and finally drew the line when they literally started INTENTIONALLY DUMPING THEIR SCRAP ASPHALT ON TOP OF MY DRIVEWAY and I ran out to stop them before they dumped the whole bucket. Bobcat driver was not surprised that I was irate and told supervisor to come "deal with me." Supervisor literally tells me its not a big deal since its a gravel driveway so it doesn't matter, blah blah blah but I'll sweep it up. I say no, you cant sweep it up because its tar and chip and the equipment will damage my driveway. Tells me it's not a tar and chip driveway and starts scuffing his feet on it and says this is just crush and run there's no tar under here I didn't hurt anything. 6mo pregnant wife comes out to get pictures, starts screaming at her saying "I DONT GIVE A SH*T! TAKE DOWN MY NAME AND NUMBER I DONT GIVE A SH*T" waving his shirt that says Bracken Paving. I look out again later and they have the sweeper on my driveway, once again have to run out saying stop, nope, your done after they scraped the surface rocks off of my not-tar-and-chip driveway exposing the tar that's underneath. He sarcastically says no, hes gonna get "every last bit." I called Bracken to speak to a supervisor, well ladies and gentlemen come to find out I wont be hearing back because the guy who cussed my wife is in fact the OWNER/OPERATOR of Bracken Paving, Spencer Mckenzie, the guy who "Doesn't give a Sh*t" about your driveway. Alan Bracken, this is who you sold your company out to? Used to be a great company...- Stephanie W.

FElite ConceptsMy friend got me the job I worked a total of 17 hours which was at a rate of $12hr under the table coming to a total of $204. It wasn't working out on the and I told Curtis what was going on but said I'd finish the day which he agreed upon and said I'd be paid a few hours later that evening. After numerous text messages and voicemails I waited until the next day. The following day again calls & text ignored after calling my buddy and texting him curtis called because I said i was going to north Carolina dept of labor wage and labor dispute division. He said after they get done the job their on I'll be paid. Now this pay is under the table thru cashapp but from llceliteconcepts tithe business account so I got a deposit of $130 which was $74. Short of the amount I worked for and was promised also after I spoke with him he said quote "if i stopped calling and texting like a HO I'll get paid that he wipes his *** in the morning with $200" at this time still no pay . he went on and in text that I sent into the irs tax fraud dept as well and dol dept of wage and labor for not reporting employee wages as well as not giving me the agreed upon amount which I have messages screenshot of saying he would. Terrible fuy to work for cuts corners he called FINAGLING basically being cheap not doing top work and unprofessional, arrogant pompous and all around scum watch and research who you hire.- Jonathan F.

ALandscape ImpressionsSTUNNINGLY AWESOME! We could not be happier with the professionalism, promptness, quality of work and industry knowledge that Tim and his team did for us. After moving into a house where the previous owner let the landscaping 'go' we brought in several landscaping companies to give bids to work get done. What finally sold us on Landscape Impressions was they were very competively priced (other providers wanted double the price for similar work) as well as Tim took the time to understand what we wanted and our overall goals. He also demonstrated a high level of industry knowledge while walking around our property understanding exactly what we wanted. All work was completed in a timely manner when promised and Tim was prompt in all communication. He is now part of our trusted people we work with and will be hiring him again moving forward for ongoing maintence.- Crystal S.

ALandscape ImpressionsIt went great! After Tim came to my house to discuss what I needed done, he gave me several options that would fit into my budget. I took his recommendations on what would work best. He then emailed me an estimate for the work within one business day. He said he and his crew would need 1.5 to 2 days to do the work and they would begin on 8/2. On the morning of 8/2 Tima nd his crew arrived bright and early and worked until 5pm. They worked tirelessly in the 90+ heat. Before they left for the day, everything was stowed away neatly until their arrival the next day. Again, arrived early and finished in time for us to show potential buyers that evening. I am overjoyed with the work and have received several compliments from passers by about how nice our yard looks. I would highly recommend Landscape Impressions, not only for a job well done, but for the personable nature of Tim and his crew.- michelle b.

ALandscape ImpressionsTim Holmes was very professional. He contacted us the next day and provided an estimate a few hours after he inspected our home. The team came on time each day, worked hard all day and left each day just before dark. They also cleaned up after their work. Tim didn't charge us for seeding, or the small stones needed to cover an landscape area. He fixed our lighting and gutter without being asked (and didn't charge us) and also removed a tree (this was not in the original estimate. The final product was amazing. Our yard was nice before, but now it looks even better. Overall, this was the best experience we've had with a contractor. Wish all of them were like Tim and his crew. I would not even consider any one else for my next landscaping project. Although our project was extensive, we thought the price was very reasonable.- Robin E.

ALandscape ImpressionsI called Tim because he had done some drainage work for me previously that went well. Tim gave me a good price, but I decided to call a couple more contractors. One wasn't. Available and the other gave me a price that was much higher. We agreed on a start date and Tim and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. He oil lowed my layout the best he could, before finalizing he walked it down with me. I didn't really like the shape so I asked him to change it and he did gladly. Once complete, I actually thought it turned out better than I thought it would. He cleaned up loose gravel and sand. He made an effort to use as few pavers as possible and I was able to return the extras Overall an excellent job. Tim is a good guy with a small but good crew. They are all very respectful and courteous. I would recommend landscape impression if you want a good hard scape at a fair price.- John F.

DI got a quote for putting in a new 650 ft chip and tar driveway and resurfacing a 100 ft asphalt driveway. There were several delays (reportedly due to weather). When a time slot became available, it was already into the cold season and I was told that chip and tar could not be done. We opted to install the gravel base for the new driveway and finish the job in the spring. The work on the gravel base layer was excellent; neat and professionally installed, for which I was billed and paid. However, that is far as we have gotten. It is now July and I cannot get CAPS out to complete the job. I have called repeatedly and have been given multiple reasons for the delay, and each time getting a promise to get back in touch with me regarding scheduling. Excuses have been a combination of: weather delays, major jobs taking precedence, liquid tar availability, estimator quitting, etc. These are all understandable, but I would think that in 5-6 months, you should be able to get through a 2-3 week backlog and get to my job. I even had some additional work that I wanted them to add to the project; I came close to getting someone out to look at the additional work (someone actually called to schedule a date/time for a site visit), but that also got delayed and never happened. I should mention that the person answering the phone was friendly and seemed sincere in my interactions with her. I really liked CAPs work and reasonable pricing, but getting a response from these folks is like watching rain erode a rock - it takes a little while. CAPs, if you are reading reviews, let customers know if you are not interested in doing their project; don't drag them on. You'll be one step ahead of the competition if you simply communicate with your customers.
