AHandy Randy's Handyman ServiceThis young man is fabulous! So glad I found him on Angie's List. He answered my first email - I was in shock. And he continued to impress by returning every phone call, showing up as planned (on time), gave a good estimate and then finished the job in short order and satisfactorily, just as he said he would. Randy is a local guy, which I prefer whenever possible. He is polite, easygoing, listens carefully...I can't praise him enough. AThe Honey Do Service, Inc. - Johnson City, TNI was really impressed. With exterior painting you do have to work around the weather. The crew came out on the morning and time I was told. They worked the 3 days estimated but had to continue on the following Monday because some of the new screen had little flaws in two pieces so rather than use it, they ordered new to be shipped overnight and were right back Monday with the screen and to finish up the last of the painting. They did an excellent job on the paint job, and they were meticulous in cleaning up the mess afterward-right down to checking windows to make sure any paint that got on the panes was scraped off cleanly. I will definitely use Honey-Do of Johnson City again for other handyman jobs around the house.- Teena M.

DFirst, we were told the professional would arrive at noon, but they showed up at 2:15PM. There seemed to be a miscommunication that it should have been "any time after noon" but instead we were told noon. One of the owners had come out previously and given an estimate for replacing a 20 AMP with a 30 AMP to the garage. Upon arrival, the service professional told me that the owner misquoted, and it was $125 for just the first hour, and would go up from there if it took longer plus materials. So, I was already on alert that something shady was going on. The service professional, however, was polite and knowledgeable. After inspection, he told me that the wire wouldn't support a 30 AMP and there was really nothing that could be done (which I find it odd that the owner of the business couldn't determine, since it was his recommendation to replace with a higher AMP--and the only reason we even scheduled the visit). The service professional kindly offered to call the owner to see if he could get the service fee reduced, because he wasn't able to do anything, and after about 20-30 mins of holding and waiting for the owners to return the call, said they weren't willing to drop the rate. So, we paid $125 for someone to come out to perform the service the OWNER told us we needed, only to be told they can't do it and the OWNER wanted to charge the full price anyway for the service we can't get. If the owner doesn't know enough about the services he's providing estimates for, he shouldn't be the one doing estimates. And certainly shouldn't be charge full price for a service call he tricked us into. DO NOT USE. They are not professional or ethical. As noted, the service professional who came out was fully transparent and tried to be kind and honest, it's the owners who are shady and can't be trusted! USE ANOTHER COMPANY. Also, we were given a form to fill out on the spot and I felt very pressured to leave a good review while the technician looked on, which was really awkward considering I was not happy at all. I gave him good ratings, but said I wasn't comfortable reviewing the rest.

FWe own a home-based business and rely heavily on our computers operating appropriately. We initially hired Eric a couple of years ago to service our computers when he was offering a Big Deal on Angie's List. He did not show up for our initial meeting. After trying to contact him several times, he finally responded and said that he had been on vacation and his schedule got messed up. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to have him look at our computers that needed serviced. He fixed the problems we were having. We thought at the time that he did a good job, so we agreed to retain him on a service contract and pay his monthly fee of $20. The fee was automatically charged to our credit card each month, and whenever we had issues with our computers, we would contact Eric to service them. Eric did fix the problems, HOWEVER, NEVER DID ERIC RESPOND WITHOUT US HAVING TO CONTACT HIM REPEATEDLY. His lack of response became quite frustrating over the years, and we would discuss our frustrations with him. Eric always told us that he would try to work harder to respond in a more timely manner, but never really improved much. A few weeks ago we were having issues with our computers, and we tried repeatedly contacting Eric via text messages, phone calls and voice mails. HE NEVER RESPONDED. HE APPARENTLY HAS LEFT US HIGH AND DRY WITHOUT ANY KIND OF NOTIFICATION. Eric had the skills to service our computers, but he lacked consideration and respect for us as his customers. We found him to be unreliable and unprofessional due to his lack of response. We would never recommend Eric or his company to anyone.

AAfter researching various products and getting quotes from several different contractors, my husband and I purchased an underdeck ceiling kit from Magnolia Outdoor Living. We chose the 4 beaded panel in white. While we are not contractors, we have completed a number of renovation projects at our house, so we felt confident that we could install the underdeck ceiling ourselves. The staff at Magnolia were wonderful to work with and helped us design a ceiling kit that worked best with the layout of our house. The ceiling kit was personally delivered to our home and we received assistance in marking the initial level points under the deck (1st step in the project). While it took working several weekends to complete the project, we are extremely happy with the end result. The staff at Magnolia were very helpful in answering our questions throughout the project. Magnolia's online instructional video that demonstrates installation of the ceiling kit was extremely helpful. If you follow the instructions in the video, the ceiling kit is actually fairly easy to install. Our deck was large (13'x42') with several angles, so it took a bit longer to complete the project. The underdeck ceiling is beautiful and we're happy that we saved a ton of $$$ by installing it ourselves. We love our new outdoor living area and are now using it everyday. Thank you Magnolia!
