I simply cannot say enough good things about BMW - super reliable, great people, very professional and trustworthy. They are the BEST, and my experience with them puts BMW at the very top of the many contractors who have done work for us. Unhesitatingly - they have earned the highest ratings possible.

We could not be happier with the overall experience CJ and his company provided start to finish. He walked us through the whole process, provided some informational materials prior to starting and always provided options with OUR best interest in mind. He suggested innovative options for out patio, which ended up even better than we envisioned. He put in extra amount of work (at no additional cost to us) to ensure the finished product looks best way possible! Would definitely recommend to everyone who is contemplating stamped concrete patio. You will not find any other contractor with more integrity, honest, dedication and hard work to keep his customers happy!

Burke Lumber DBA Fairfax Handyman Service
This partial bathroom renovation was started on May 22, 2017, and has not been completed to date. I have not been able to use the shower. I paid a total of $5,550 to Mr. Ronald Nystrom, of Fairfax Handyman Service, which included a new bathroom floor (5 X 7.5 but he did not tile underneath the 2 X 4 existing vanity) and removal of wall tiles and bathtub and adding porcelain tiles from ceiling to floor, a frameless shower door and shower pan. I paid for all materials. The total cost of this job was approximately $6,800.00. Mr. Nystrom stayed focus on the job and utilized time wisely; however, I wished I had questioned a few things I saw during the job. I had used him for two previous handyman jobsreplacing bathroom faucets and replacing ceiling fansthose jobs were fine. My bathroom renovation was not. It is a disaster. He mentioned he performs bathroom renovations and periodically makes a "deal" available to Angie's List customers. I did not see a deal at the time. Mr. Nystrom failed to clean the bathroom when he was finished. It was a mess! I actually cried when he left and then I got angry. He deducted $200 off the job so I could hire a cleaning company but when they saw it, they wouldnt touch it for that price. I have been on a ladder and on the floor in excess of 20+ hours with a razor blade scraping grout trying to straighten out grout lines to make them look more straight and professional. 1. He failed to seal grout lines that come in contact with water at the wall and shower pan. He didnt seal any grout lines at allfloor nor shower walls. Some of the grout at the shower pan has fallen out. Please see picture showing missing grout. 2. Silicone was left on my new glass shower doors. I have been using a product that I purchased from Amazon called Xenit to remove the silicone. 3. The silicone caulking on the inside of my of the shower door looked like a toddler did it. Please see picture. I am working now to remove it so I can hire someone to recaulk it. 4. The glass shower doors were installed backwards. He did come back on June 22 to reverse the shower doors and spent 5 hours cleaning the bathroom to make it look more presentable which helped but did not resolved all my issues. He told me he has installed hundreds of these doors. 5. There are uneven grout lines on the shower walls and bathroom floor where water and dirt will accummulate. While I have sealed it, I expect they will be problem areas. He also used tile that was cut short and used caulking to hide the gaps. 6. My left shower door does not go all the way into the shower door frame at the top. I called the manufacturer, DreamLine, and sent pictures and did measurements and concluded as you are looking at the shower, the left wall is not plumb by 1/4. The left shower door panel does not slide into the shower frame fully. It does at the bottom but not at the top where it is off by 1/4. The manufacturer explained there is no adjustment feature on my shower doors to correct this problem. MR. NYSTROM SHOULD HAVE INSURED THAT BOTH WALLS WERE PLUMB BEFORE INSTALLING THE SHOWER DOOR. You think with having installed hundreds of shower doors he would have known this. 7. The moulding and quarter round pictures speak for themselves. 8. The drywall finish and caulking finish are poor. Please see pictures of these issues. I have contemplated taking Mr. Nystrom to courtthe job performed was that bad. I have never take anyone to court over work performed in my home. As I was writing out the final check, he reminded me that most bathroom renovations cost $10,000 or more and I was getting this for $6,800. While that is true, all I asked for was a partial renovation replacing a bathtub with a shower, new wall tiles and new floor (size mentioned above). My bathroom vanity/sink, light fixture, toilet, bathroom fan, mirrornothing was replaced. I guess he was trying to make me feel good about only spending $6,800. After his last visit on June 22, I contacted him by e-mail still explaining I had issues with the bathroom and he offered to send me $300 to hire a handyman to fix the remaining issues. I did contact one company with highly recommended reviews on Angies List. His estimate was 2 to 3 days of work at a daily rate of $475.00, after the 1st day his labor rate was $50 an hour. At that rate, it would have cost me anywhere between $875 to $1,275. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I was limited to 10 pictures but I have many more. You decide whether you want to hire him to perform your bathroom renovation. The only way I will remove or modify this post if Mr. Nystrom will make good on these issues and fix what should have been done correctly the first time by paying the full amount to someone who can fix the caulking, woodwork, drywall blemishes and painting. Even with spending $6,800, I should of received a more professional product. My shower remains unusable. UPDATE 10/9/17: He sent $300 for me to hire a handyman to correct his mistakes, he was tied up on a big job. As I mentioned earlier, the first estimate I received was for $875-$1,275 to fix drywall issues, repaint the bathroom, grout issues, rebalancing the shower doors, uneven tile installation on both floor and wall, quarter round carpentry cutting mistakes which he used heavy amount of caulk to mask. Look at the pictures provided with my initial submission. I would hardly call sending me $300 on a $6,800 job "a partial refund." Bottom line: Cheaper is not always better. Lesson learned.

    Mottern Masonry Design
Mottern Masonry exceeded our expectations. The initial consultation was valuable in terms of the vendor understanding our goals and discussing realistic outcomes. The team did a fabulous job with our patio, fire pit and walkway and were very professional at all times. They also completed the project in the time stated. I was very satisfied with cost in terms of outcome. I absolutely love my new patio! I would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Anthony's Construction Concrete & Masonry Inc
I hired Victor in early September 2015 to install a 10' x 10' concrete patio and border extension to an existing patio.  After they installed the frame and concrete,  I was pleased with the work and decided to have additional steps installed.   The final project was completed as promised and appears to be constructed to the specifications discussed.

    Greystone Masonry Inc
The process was fast and simple. The only thing you need to be aware of is that although they do try not to damage your grass it does get rough. They were quick and knowledgeable in the area of expertise. We are very pleased with the end results. Will hire them again.

The project was originally supposed to be done in May but due to all the rain we got the week before our project date we got bumped back a week.   Then June was a washout because of all the rain. While we were trying to get this scheduled the communication with Victor was very difficult.  He would call us back last minute.  We were very tempted to walk away but we had already given our deposit.   The patio was finally completed on 7/3/2014.  Our only complaint was that his crew left their trash in our yard along with hazardous chemicals.  Victor came by a few days later but refused to take the products stating a crew will come to pick it up.  They never came and after two weeks or so we had to take the material to the county dump ourselves so we could get it out of our yard.  The patio itself looked really good and we were please with it.
The problems because about a month after it was done.  We noticed a few places that the sealer was bubbling.  We called Victor and he said he would come out to check it.  We happened to be away the day he claimed to have come out.  The main issue is that we have never heard from him since.  The sealer is getting worse.  Now there are places that are white spots.  We have tried to call and email Victor for over two months we no response at all.  We are completed disgusted with the fact he won't return our calls.  We were supposed to have a warranty of a year but we cannot get him to call us back!  We would never recommend him to anyone because of his failure to communicate and not fix the issues with the sealer.

    Concrete Jack
We dealt with Kirk, the general manager, or his admin assistant the whole time other than when crews were on site.  The crew arrived on time, drilled about 4 half-inch holes into the drive and pumped foam in.  There were several complications with our job which came up; the way the concrete had settled the garage was now pinning the driveway down, there was a much larger cavity than anyone realized, and the already soft ground was wet from a lot of previous rain.  After about two hours my wife got a call from the central office apologizing and explaining that some foam got sprinkled onto the garage door, and that they would send a crew out to repaint the entire door as soon as possible.  Anther hour later the crew was done; the drive was leveled, the dill holes had been filled, we could drive on it, and unless you knew exactly where to look you couldn't tell any repair had been done.
Kirk's office contacted us to ask if we could find the brand/color of the door, which we did, and they again reached out to us to schedule the time to come out and paint.  The crew came back as scheduled, completed the job, and Kirk asked us if we were satisfied.  It was only at this point that we were sent an invoice.
Overall the job didn't go as smoothly as anyone hoped, and we were told we were a very unusual case.  I can't say for sure, but I feel this is probably true.  They put as much effort into perfecting the work and making sure we were happy as the initial job.  The real character of a company is shown when things don't go perfectly, and Kirk and Concrete Jack did everything needed to take care of us, without any prompting from us.  They reached out to contacted us at every turn, were very responsive to every contact we had, followed through with their statements, and didn't suggest we pay a dime until we were totally happy.  I wish I could deal with more companies like that, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Mid Atlantic Masonry
I called Mid Atlantic Masonry to ask for an estimate and left a voice mail message with my name and number.  I was contacted the same day. We set up an appointment for the weekend for a consultation.  Jeff was very professional and showed me samples of several options with prices.  He drew up a design for the patio onsite and explained the whole process to me.  We then scheduled the work to be done in 6 weeks.  I like the fact that Jeff was the one who actually did the work instead of a different crew that I did not know.  Jeff and his other 2 workers came and finished the patio within 2 weeks.  He and his crew were very respectful and courteous.  Out of
the three estimates I obtained, he was in the middle price range.  I would highly recommend this contractor.
