Well & Water Pump Repair reviews in Fredericksburg

    Dexter Wells & Plumbing, LLC
It went well. We had a previous company out to work on it 3 years ago. The Master Plumber found the issue to be the original home owners did not do any of the pump replacements to code. Also the pipe underground to the well was under code for the pressures involved. He would warrenty his work but only until the old pump. His request was to change it all. Dig a trench to the house and replace it all with stronger pipe. If he could do it of course the price would be higher but he would warrenty for 20 years. While working he would show us all the evidence of why the upgrade as well as the process. Meanwhile his price was pretty good. He gave a flat price in the beginning and it didn't change or fluctuate throughout the process even though a lot of manual labor was required just to get to the original repair area. Overall i would hire them again. I would say they are trust worthy and knowledgeable about their stuff. He punctual for his appointment times as well. All in all 16 hrs of labor, many feet of pipe, and a few dozen fittings.

    Plumb Perfect Plumbing
After an extended period of heavy rain, my old sump pump failed and my basement flooded with two inches of water. I called several local area plumbers and all were unavailable for several days. Plumb Perfect Plumbers were available and came within a few hours of my call. I was immediately impressed with how they communicated through text messages; the estimate, expected arrival time, and who was assigned the job (a photo was provided of the plumber - a nice security feature). Mr. Shane Magner showed up 30 minutes earlier than estimated and offered several replacement options for a sump pump with genuine/practical recommendations based on his experience and not trying to upsell me. I was impressed with his professionalism straightforward advice and he had all the necessary equipment with him. Within a few moments, the sump pump was installed and removing water from the basement. I noticed several touches that only a master plumber would know to perform when installing the equipment. I asked him of some additional options to prevent another flooding and Mr. Magner provided sound recommendations with a genuine interest is providing his knowledge. I'm very happy to find such expertise and responsiveness from a local area plumber. They are more pricey than some other plumbing options that are out there, but I firmly believe you get what you pay for. The extra cost is well worth an experienced and professional plumber. I will definitely keep Plumb Perfect Plumbing for my plumbing needs.

    Plumbing Innovators - Fredericksburg
Plumbing Innovators called 30 mins prior to arrival -- checked out the situation and completely replaced the water heater, added a drain pan, expansion tank and a new sump pump within four hours. TJ and Tim completely cleaned up behind themselves, including the old tank and nasty sump pump. Very courteous and very professional -- would hire them every time.

Very well. Tony made all the plumbing changes and set up the new equipment. Very neat job. No problems since installation. Relocated well entrance, installed relocated pressure tank and softener. Also installed two frost free outdoor spigots (moving one). Best bid by a significant amount.

    Plumb Magic, LLC
Came out after hours. Assessed the situation and then came back in the morning and fixed it right up. We moved to Fredericksburg in 2011 and they have been our only plumber for all our plumbing issues. . John is the new owner and he was here operating the backhoe. Strongly recommend them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHIMG RELATED TO YOUR WELL They showed up unprepared. Inspector had no paperwork and thus no idea where the active well was located on the property. Inspector refused to make an attempt to find the active well and sat on the front porch saying "it's not my job" regarding looking for the active well. One call to the health department revealed the location of the active well, but the inspector was already headed to his truck to leave. Active well located 5 minutes after he piled out of the driveway. A phone call to the owner was met with a surprising lack of professionalism and belligerence. I'm completely unaware of other well service companies in this area, but I'll take my chance with any of them over this company.

    Plumbing Innovators - Fredericksburg
Clay came out and diagnosed the problem and finally figured out that the pressure for the air bladder inside the storage tank was incorrect and was causing the fail safe on the pressure switch to malfunction. He fixed the pressure in the air bladder and then taught me how to turn the pressure switch back on in case this happened again during the weekend. Overall Clay was extremely professional and even explained everything several times so that I would understand what he was doing and what the problem was. I would definitely call them again!

    Plumb Perfect Plumbing
Excellent service. We had ground water coming into the basement. I left messages with several plumbers in the area and got no return call. Found this company, saw they had a few solid reviews, so I sent an email. Thomas called back within short order and came to my house a few hours after our call.

SUPER professional guy. Came with his own door mat to lay down, and the little booties to put on. Assessed our situation and let us know the quote. Now, I'd just had someone else by maybe an hour before Thomas came. That guy assessed the same exact situation. But his price was about $300 higher. No issues with the other guy, he was great too. But due to the water issue we have a LOT of work to do, so every dollar saved counts. Plus, Thomas owns this business as well as being local to Fredericksburg and I believe in working with those types of businesses when reasonable and possible.

Thomas broke down what he thought the problem was (sump pump) due to testing and observation, and what he knew it wasn't (leak in pipe main that a previous plumber a few months back claimed). Sump was actually the primary issue and the pipe main leak was a secondary symptom. Made a lot of sense. Again, all of this was in line with what the guy earlier in the day said. He was able to replace the pump on the spot. Problem solved. Accepts all methods of payments, including AmEX. Immediately emailed my estimate sheet and work receipt (YAY for paperless!). Also recommended someone for mold remediation.

So again, great guy, great service. One note, when calling for an appointment you'll be given the option to contact him by text or email. I did both. I believe he got the email first. :)

We had used them just before to check our sump pump. They came so fast. They were just wonderful. We were able to get to them right away and they are local. They are a family business and the father and son came out this time even though they didn't need to. You can ask them any questions, they go into real details on what they are doing. They have the equipment available, it is not like they have to go and come back in different trips. They are punctual and have all the equipment ready. They work with our schedule.

Our sewer sump pump alarm came on on Thurs night. We investigated and noticed that the sump pump was not running. We doubled checked the breaker panel -- nothing had been tripped. So we turned off the alarm, went back to sleep with the intent of looking for plumbers on Angie's List to help us resolve this problem. I contacted David Plumbing & Heating, Inc. at 0800 Fri morning. I told the woman on the phone of my scenario who took my phone number and said a technician would call me back. I told her that I was taking my husband to a Cardiology appointment later that morning (he was scheduled to have open heart surgery in a couple of days) and needed to try and talk to the technician before 0930. She understood the urgency and said someone would call before 0930. True to her word, someone called at 0830 and told us to call him back when we returned from our appointment. Our appointment lasted longer than we anticipated, which also involved a trip to the hospital for some lab work. When we finally got back home and called him back (about 1300 hrs) he said he would be at our house in a couple of hours. He (Dennis the technician) arrived at 1500 hrs and almost immediately found the problem in the sump pump. Something had gotten the float ball stuck (probably toilet paper in the effluent), which triggered the water not refill in the sump pump tank, which in turn trigger the alarm that there was no water (or it was at a low level) in the sump pump. He didn't even have to take the lid off the tank. He was done within 30 minutes. But he checked everything out, flushed the toilets, ran water, etc., several times to make sure the system was turning on and that the tank was filling up to its correct level. Dennis was professional, knew his trade well, was very polite and even liked our dog! I really appreciated the fact that Dennis was able to come to our house almost at a moment's notice, especially on a Friday and the beginning of a 3-day Memorial Day weekend. The cost was nominal, but Dennis providing so much satisfaction and ease to a potential problem. Kudos to Davis Plumbing in Fredericksburg, I would use them again in a heartbeat.
