    Waltlou Propane Gas
I pulled in to the filling station, walt lou, and a polite older guy refilled my tank. I was so surprised to see that they were filling 100 lb tanks for just $59, which I found online looking for better prices. I wish I had brought my other big tank, which was half full, and the guy told me the tank did not have to be empty, and if I brought it, I would pay for the propane pumped in by the gallon. All the places I have ever been just charge a flat price for the tank size, no matter what they pump, but this place pumps and charges by the gallon. The gentleman was retired, and very knowledgeable about propane, when I asked questions. He also mentioned to me that they sold parts and tanks, which I viewed. I am planning to buy a tank from them when I need to refill next week, because their price, with tax included, was the cheapest place I found, and I viewed Lowes, Leran, Costco, BJ?s, etc., in my area. After refilling, I paid with my credit card, and from the time I pulled in to the time I left was less than 15 minutes!! I have had to wait at some places about an hour, between waiting in line, waiting to pay, slow service people, and on and on. This place is right off of Route 1 and I was in and out faster than I have ever been. I highly recommend them for saving cash with this cold snap now!!

    Anderson Propane Service Inc
Anderson Propane Service Inc are a local company and reliable. If I find a competitor's rate that is better, they'll match that rate. They're always accommodating when they come out. You don't have to be home when they service it. They're a top notch company.

After paying to have a company come out to clean and service the fireplace for the upcoming winter season we were not overly surprised to hear the serviceman state that he could not complete the checkout due to not having any gas in the tank.  The automatic fill promised every year for the past three years had once again not happened.  Why we thought it would I'll never know.  After three to four years of fighting the same fight - automatic fill on tank - we gave up and dropped Amerigas.
We spent three years actually going in and talking to first the front desk staff and then the manager(s).  The front desk staff rotated between friendly and surly and all unable to help.  The three managers over the course of the years, always new, made the same statement - "I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience.  I'm new to this site and have been brought in to clean up the problems. I will ensure it doesn't happen again."  The exact same statement from three different managers! One, the second, actually attempted to amend the situation by getting the tank filled and only charging us for half the fill.  It was also the only way to keep us.  After numerous conversations with the last manager we opted to have them cancel the service all together and an appointment was set for the tank removal.  The appointment date arrived but alas, no surprise, Amerigas did not.  Nor did they for the next scheduled appointment.  It was only at the threat of rolling the tank into the street did they show up to remove it.
Poor, poor, poor customer service.  We got the sense that they believed that we/customers would just accept the poor service in light of the cost of changing companies, which is not cheap. They were able to convince us one year with the offer of half price gas.  After that we opted for the old expression -- "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me."  Fool me three times, I'm an idiot. Stating it another way -- once may be an accident, twice questionable but three times is policy.
    Not recommended.

Have been frustrated with company since the beginning.  Never understood why price for propane was different for us and all our neighbors.  Amerigas would give us the better price if we questioned it, but no explanation was ever given as to why we weren't given that price in the first place.  Pricing was like a shell game.  Decided to discontinue our relationship.  Took them 3 months and several phone calls to finally come out and empty our tank and give us reimbursement.  Would not remove tank -- said we had to pay to have someone take it out of the ground and then they would haul it away.  Said we could just leave it in the ground if we wanted, then they billed us for "rental" for the tank!   After a phone call, they said it was a "computer error" and credited that charge.

    Waltlou Propane Gas
I found the business Waltlou Propane on the internet, when looking for a reasonable rate for propane, to refill my RV propane tank. I have used a few different people, but have had some issues with service and high prices. After seeing their website and other listing they have, I called in and decided to stop over at Waltlou and give them a shot.
First of all, their price was very good, and lower than any others I priced, which was my main motivation. In addition, the man that filled my tank was polite, and I had plenty of room to get my RV in and out, and back on the highway without any issue, unlike others I have seen.
The service is quick, and I was able to use my credit card, which some other places do not accept. I was given a business card which had their information, as well as online addresses. I did have a question about my tank, and its gauge, and the man gave me some tips that were informative.
In any case, I do recommend Waltlou, even though they have a strange name. I felt they were professional, and when I need propane in the area, that is where I am going from now on. I would also like to thank the older gentleman working, James, who was very nice.

    Waltlou Propane Gas
aWith hurricane Sandy moving in, I wanted to fill my 100LB. propane tank, in the event I would loose my electricity. I purchased a propane generator last year, for just this reason, and actually wanted to see how it performed. I was busy, then at the last minute, when we were having heavy rain and wind, on Monday, I went to Waltlou Propane, half way expecting them to be closed, since most other businesses had closed by this time, 5:00pm on Monday. Waltlou Propane was open, and there were a couple vehicles in line, and they were quickly filling tanks and the line went quickly. I did not have to leave my SUV, and the guy pulled my tank out, filled it up, put it back in, and I gave him my credit card. In no time, I was back on my way, ready to hunker down for the storm. What I was happy about with Waltlou Propane was that they were open when I needed them, they take credit cards, where other places do not, and they have a pump station that is covered, and when there is bad weather, you dont get rained on and you are covered from winds, etc. Also, I keep an eye on prices, and the other closest price to Waltlou's was $16 higher than Waltlou's Price, which works out to about $.70 more per gallon at the other place. Also, the service men at Waltlou are friendly, polite and dont mind answering questions I have. They gave me information and directed me to where I purchased my generator, which was a place on line, and I saved almost $400 than the one I was looking at.
All in all, Waltlou Propane always seems to have the better prices, they are always open, they take credit cards, and they are located close to interstate 95, which is what I travel to get to them. I highly recommend Waltlou, and I think anyone who uses them will feel the same way.

    Waltlou Propane Gas
I did not have to wait to get my tank filled, and the serviceman filling the tank weighed and filled and weighed my tank again. He explained that 17LB (4 gallons of propane) was the proper amount to fill a tank with. The OPD valve stopped him from being able to fill the tank further, for my safety. He also explained that each gallon of propane weighed 4.25LB, and that 4 gallons totaled 17LB, the proper amount a 20LB propane tank should carry. He also explained to me how the tank cages, or tank exchanges stopped filling their tanks with 17LB, and went down to 15LB, and how that was basically 1/2 gallon of propane that was not being pumped into each tank, for no other reason than they just decided to put less propane in tanks, but charge the same or more money per tank. The size of the tank did not change, so why should they all of a sudden stop putting the full 17LB in each tank, but instead drop down to just 15LB. Others did print they were only filling their tanks with just 15LB, but does the public know what that means? I did not know what that meant until I was told, and saw what was actually going into my tank when I was at Waltlou Propane Gas, and the guy explained it to me. I really think these big successful businesses have serious ethical issues, when they simply drop the amount of product in each tank, but charge more per tank, instead of less.

    Waltlou Propane Gas
Everything went well, and I was on my way quickly. They filled my tanks up fast, and I actually was talking to the man while he filled up tanks for two other customers. The guy is very friendly and you can ask him plenty of questions, and he seems happy to talk to people and very knowledgeable about propane.

    Quarles Energy Services
I have used them for about 20 years now and am very pleased. They are not the cheapest, but they are very responsive and the service is excellent. Most recently I needed my gas logs cleaned and they referred me to another company that did a great job as well!

They respectful of my property and take the time to do a good job and not leave unnecessary residue behind.
