    I recently contracted with MJL Contractors, Inc. to have a kitchen installed. Best decision! Mike, Amy and the staff are top-notch. They are very knowledgeable, work diligently, and are friendly and considerate. I was always provided with arrival dates and times. Not once was I disappointed. At the end of the day, the room was left neat and clean. The work was completed within the time frame I was given. I am so happy with my new kitchen!     Excellent job by all! The team was on time, professional, and skilled. They worked with my ideas and were careful to clean up daily after working. We had a delay in glass arriving for our shower so they configured a temporary shower curtain holder for us and even brought a new shower curtain that they put up until the glass arrived. I highly recommend this contractor!

    We started our whole house renovation by choosing granite and Cambria with United Granite at the Fredericksburg location. Once we chose our granite they were moving things to Chantilly, Va., their other location, and ours was moved. When we went to the Chantilly location they had not marked our primary choices for one of our bathrooms. We had to "re-pick" a slab to match the colors in our bathroom. When the installers came to put all the materials in, things appeared to go "ok". We did hear a Dremel tool drop on the more expensive piece of granite. After they all left we had time to look at the granite and Cambria in different lighting. There were places in the more expensive granite that looked like they had gouges in it. The Cambria also had what looked like scratches in it. We notified the Chantilly location of our concerns and the installers came back out and applied a chemical to the granite spots and filled some of them in. When questioned about the Dremel being dropped on the granite and could that have made these marks, they said, "no". They said the Cambria was just in need of cleaning. So, they proceeded to clean with Goof Off. The oil in Goof Off hid the marks only temporarily. We could still see places in the granite so they came out a second time. One of the men on the job that day also stated, "we don't use the most expensive sealant on our granite". Maybe that is where the problem lies. If the sealant they used was better it may have covered the marks in the granite. The Cambria continues to look bad every day. When we asked if they would replace it they said, "no". The Cambria is definitely scratched. Several people have stated that. We are not new to purchasing granite. We had a huge slab installed in another home. We never had any problems with any part of the granite or installation. We could not use the original company as they were no longer in business. Our contractor had recommended United Granite. We would like to suggest that you make sure you understand what the installers are doing and that the installers use a high grade sealant on your granite before it is installed. We've put a lot of money into the granite in our home. We are also very disappointed that the company would not replace the Cambria in light of the problems they created. It's not even a large piece of Cambria. As far as the granite that was installed, we worry about the type of sealant they used and whether it indeed is safe to have food on it. We usually don't put anything directly on it. The granite installers did tell us to reapply sealant in a year. Friendliness in showrooms and during installation does not always guarantee a good appearance or a reliable product.

    We wanted to upgrade our kitchen in our older home and selected Elite Countertops on Cherry Road in Fredericksburg to handle the work. in August 2015. Approximately 3-4 weeks later the arrival of the cabinets came and we had chosen Honey Maple for the cabinets which we feel all the cabinets did not match, but explained to us that Honey Maple turns out this way.
    It is now 5 months later and the job is just being finished due to poor workmanship on the cabinets from installation to the do overs because of splintered wood, crown molding installed upside down and just overall poor workmanship. The owner didn't have a solid staff of personnel working for her and there were 4 different people working in our home at various times. We also asked for personnel who spoke English and could communicate with us and that never happened. One installer told us that she didn't want us to see the imperfection of the cabinets.
    She also would text us and tell us her staff would be there to do work, sometimes it never happened and sometimes we had to reschedule because of the inconvenience.
    We have learnt a valuable lesson, getting something cheaper doesn't mean it will be done good and we would not recommend this company to handle installation of cabinets in your home.  Beware, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is--don't use this company for your job.

    Absolute Kitchen & Bath
    Returning phone calls will be the least of your worries.  Our cabinets did not arrive on time (last week of November expected delivery date).  We were told on two separate occasions after that date, that the cabinets would be delivered.  Someone waited at home and no delivery.  When we told them in December that if they could not be delivered during the month, then we would expect a refund and to cancel the order.  We were told since we "canceled" the order we would not get a refund.  January 6th, Absolute contacted us to let us know the cabinets were in and what did we want to do.  We made arrangements to pick them up on January 13.  We did not unpack the shipping boxes on site, simply opened the top to make sure they were what we had ordered.  One piece arrived damaged so we did not take possession of this piece. We took 4 pieces home.  2 of the 4 are of poor quality.  The drawers do not line up, the dovetailing on the drawers does not lie flush etc. etc.  We had one set of drawers looked at by an independent cabinet maker who told us IF they could be fixed it would most likely exceed the price we paid for the cabinets.  I called absolute to explain this to them, and they told me since someone else had looked at the drawers, that voided the warranty and we would not get a refund.  (The pickup, inspection by independent cabinet maker and call to Absolute all occurred within less than 24 hours.) This is now in the hands of the Better Business Bureau to help mediate a resolution. As of this writing, Absolute has been unwilling to provide a refund either based on the lateness of arrival of the cabinets, or based on the poor quality of the cabinets.  If an amendable resolution is met without having to go to Court, I will provide additional information.

    I can't say enough good things about the great work that Mike Laudicina and his team did on my house. Mike did a thorough job of drawing up all the repairs that were needed inside and outside of the property but he also provided excellent guidance for the upgrades I wanted. As you can see from the list of things above, it was extensive but it was worth every penny.

    They did an awesome job from start to finish! They came out and gave me a free estimate, I followed the measure guy back to the showroom where the owner greeted me with excellent customer service! The price was excellent, better than any other company in the area. The installers came out to my house the next day. They worked very hard and I was able to use my kitchen again by 5:00pm that evening! By far this is the best home renovation experience I have ever had! Awesome company and they will definitely get my business again on my next project.

    We shopped several different Granite Companies while looking for new
    kitchen countertops. FAB Granite had a great showroom and the nicest
    sales people. We had the counters installed within 3 days and they are
    beautiful. The owner listened to me when I asked for the seam of my
    countertops be concealed at the sink, and they let me pick out MY slab
    of granite so that I would know exactly the shade and coloring that I
    would get. The day of installation, they came out and had it done in
    just a few hours. Beautiful work, perfect measuring, LOVE IT! Thank
