    Dunright Contracting Services
George and his team did an amazing job of turning our space in the mall from drab to fab! They turned a very outdated and dingy mall space into a beautiful modern office. People stop to take a look around at our new facility and cannot believe their eyes! The team did the entire job including demolition, creating a new floor plan by constructing walls, installing lighting, flooring, cabinets, counter tops and back splash for kitchen, installing vanity, toilet and beautiful tile in the restroom, painting and electrical too! Not only he do a beautiful job but was very responsive to any questions and touch ups that need to be done after we occupied the space. I would recommend him to anyone needing work done in their home or commercial space!

Mr. Handyman of the Fredericksburg Region
Al Stark, owner of Mr. Handyman (540.748-8622) of Fredericksburg, does a simply amazing job with home repairs. His team of 5 people has experience, expertise, and the work ethic of Get-er done! Mr. Handyman works on exterior and interior projects and quite honestly no job is either too big or too small. They show up on time, only do the work you want, are fair and reasonable with their price, and very trustworthy. He maintains a class A license and holds a FANTASTIC reputation with his community, customers and workforce. When I moved to Alexandria, I inquired if I could hire his team up here, but his franchise boundaries do not permit this otherwise, I would do it in a heart-beat! Quite honestly, he is the BEST and his team are AWESOME! Multiple contracts...

Mr. Handyman of the Fredericksburg Region
Everything went wonderfully. 100% honesty here. I was a little frustrated in the beginning because it felt like jumping thru hoops just to get someone to come out and provide an estimate. However, with that said, I'm very glad we stuck with this company. The owner himself is the one that comes out and does the estimate. I'm not new to the construction industry, so I knew what needed to be done (being pregnant I didn't want to do it myself). The owner was extremely knowledgable and professional. We had, had two other companies come out to look at the same project and Mr. Handyman was by far the most qualified. He knew exactly what he was talking about, which was refreshing to hear. He was honest about the process and cost, he didn't seem to want to take us for all of our money, but wanted to do a quality job. The job took two days. The gentleman that came out was very professional and patient with my annoying barking dogs (thank you. I know they were annoying!) The storm door project was completed same day, and the French doors took a day and a half, but it all looks amazing. A very professional and competent company. They have reasonable prices. I would and will be hiring them again for other projects along with recommending them to anyone and everyone that needs a handyman. Pictures are attached. The only thing left to do is paint the French doors and the walls where the spackle is... Honestly, I'll probably hire them again to do that too!

    C & R Custom Framing CLASS A Builders
It was very discouraging to try to interact with the company's representative. After I received email telling me that the company does not perform electrical work, I asked them to proceed: Company, June 8: Thank you again. I can easily price this our (sic) for you however, we do not do electrical or painting. Please let me know if you would like for me to proceed? Me, June 8: Yes, please proceed. I will try to get separate quotes for painting and electrical jobs, if I can locate contractors. Appreciate your help! I heard nothing until the following emails: Me, June 23: Please respond to my emails, thanks. If your company can't be bothered with potential customers, I'd appreciate knowing that as well, so I don't waste my time. Thanks. Company, June 23: Thank you for the input. We definantly are blessed with the work load. We dont typically do the type of work that you requested an estimate for. We certainly are able to do it but framing is our general field. I apologize for you feeling put off. I think it just kept getting buried with pricing questions. Please know we dont run business like that. So we are clear I am not able to bid the job partially as I thought I could. My bottomline: I was strung along with assurances that the work could be quoted/performed and then just dropped. So if you don't get a response, you're not alone. I have the actual email correspondence from which the quotes were taken, if there are any questions. Very disappointed.

Terrible!!!! When I came home and I did see where the floor in the wall no longer had the big separation. However to my horror I discovered serious cracks in other areas of the home as well as the whole wall in one of the bedrooms was blown apart look like dynamite went off or an earthquake hit it . There was also cracking in the upstairs as well as Ceiling cracks. Cracks everywhere These obviously were not there before. I got in touch in the foreman who was very nice and most accommodating assured me they will be out the next day to take care of problem. In the meantime we also discovered that they had nailed wiring from our furnace causing damage to the unit. Which resulted in no heat. I was told the reason for the severe cracking throughout the house and other problems was they had jacked the floor too high from the basement and dropped it to quickly causing a big mess everywhere else. They did pay for someone to come and do all the drywall repair as well as fix the HVAC. However since that time a lot of the cracks have reappeared . the HVAC fortunately is still fine. In addition I had to have their work redone. All they had done was create a frame like structure in the basement with a couple of incorrectly installed metal poles. The wood was cut crooked hammer crooked and it was starting to split. They did come back the next day make some repairs to the poorly built structure but they were not the greatest repairs. There are still two metal poles that they put out that I'm afraid to have anybody touch as they are just balanced on a piece of wood and I am scared if their touched it will cause more damage to my home It was also inot up to code. I recently sent the owner Mike an email expressing my disappointment and heard nothing back. If feel he should have at the very least emailed me back and apologized . I did not have trust in Abbey Construction to have them back a 3 red time so I had the whole thing redone by another company who had to came in and installed metal peirs set in concrete Not only was I out $5000 I had to pay someone else to fix it.

    Picture Perfect Paper & Trim
,I actually found the company on Angie's list. I contacted them and made arrangements to frame in three entrance ways.  One between the dining room and kitchen, another between the dining room and living room, and a third between the living room and hall.  Originally, the entrance ways, or square arches, were just painted wallboard.  The owner arrived on time and gave me an estimate for the work.  At that time, I also asked about removing wallpaper from the hall. Several days later two workers arrived and completed the work in about 6 hours.  I asked about doing an additional doorway between my kitchen and hall. We scheduled that work and it was completed.  I all cases the work was done well, cleanup was complete and the providers were very professional. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone with similar needs.

The owner is very good at carpentry. His work at replacing the wood around a specific lower portion of the door frame was done very well and that was the most important part of the job in my opinion. There was a small portion of wood also replaced underneath a corner portion of our gutter. The price I was quoted assumed that much more wood would have to be replaced under the gutters. Most of the wood was found to be in good condition, however, and so some primer (which I provided) was simply splashed over the exposed wood. The price of the job did not change. My main concern was the constant lack of timeliness. He would say that he was going to come over, but simply wouldn't show. This happened many times. In all honesty, there were a few days when the weather was very cold, but I still should have received a call. I never knew when he was going to come to do the work. I also was very upset when he announced that he was done and wanted the final payment for his work. He had not finished the job as he promised and was going to simply take his money and leave. He came late and in a rush. We had discussed at the signing and several times afterward, that part of the job was to leave the door in a condition which would be paint ready. He hadn't done that. When I showed him all of the problems, he rushed to quickly fix them so he could leave.  I was dissatisfied with the condition in which he left my door.  I had to fix the door myself after he left before I painted it. He is a good carpenter. But I wasn't happy with his reliability or quality of other work.

Mr. Handyman's carpenter was skilled and knowledgeable.  He consulted me, the homeowner, when needed.  We are happy with the work that was done.
Al Stark, the president, was very professional.  Any issues that came up were resolved to our satisfaction.

Crew showed up both days, explained what they would do, and commenced work. When issues arose, they explained what they could/could not do and went back to work. At end of work days, they cleaned up and left.
