    They put 2 dents in the driver's side door and chipped the paint on the same side rear. At the time the service manager admitted my car did not arrive damaged but later refused to repair the chip and changed his story saying they DIDN'T put the dents in either. At least the door was repaired but the service 'manager' screamed at us and stomped off, refusing to hear a thing or negotiate an acceptable outcome. We heard lots of other customers complaining the day we went in; this business is poorly run. If you care about your property stay away from Ulimate Subaru.

    We've used Hometowne Garage many times since we've lived near Fredericksburg. Most recently we got a second opinion on work that needed to be done and had the work completed at Hometowne. Joe and staff are always friendly and helpful. The work is done well and at a much better price than the last place we were taking our vehicles. We're very happy with Hometowne Garage!

    I purchased a car from this shop and was informed that it needed the bottom half of the motor rebuilt and was told it would take 2 weeks . It nearly took 6 weeks. Plus my car failed inspection a few months later due to other issues i was never informed of.

    After having been given $3200 in good faith no stairlift was ordered, delivered, intstalled or refunded. Multiple conversations, messages, calls, emails and promises have yielded no results. It has been over three months since the check was cashed.

    Arrived 1:15 Jan. 4. Waiting area had few customers so I expected fairly rapid service. Was told car was a week beyond 3 year warranty. Decided to wait for service. Around 3:45 was told tires were inflated, but engine light would require repair of gas filler tube at cost of $167. Work was completed around 4:45. They did not even wash the road salt off my car.

    I went very well. greeted politely when I first walked in. Had an appraisal or damages done almost immediately. Received a quote for repair by email within hours. Scheduled repair quickly. Received email updates of progress each time the car was moved from on phase to another. Rental car arrangements were handled in minutes right at the facility and I was handed the keys to a nearly new vehicle with very little wait time. Clean and comfortable wait room with coffee , tv, magazines, although I spent very little time waiting there because they processed everything so quickly.

    I believe that Brian figured out what was wrong. He diagnosed that the wheel hub assembly on the left front side had been torqued down incorrectly, and that a pin in the wire harness on the passenger's side was loose and was causing the ABS light to come on because of that problem. This was the kind of detective work I was looking for. I had been through five(!) wheel hub assemblies in the front in the last year. They also replaced a tie rod end and aligned the front end. So far, the ABS light has not come back on and there is no rumbling sound underneath. Very pleased with his work.

    Perfect. I knew I was had squealing brakes and I thought it was the rear brakes. They checked the car over and informed that it was coming from the front brakes and that the rear brakes just needed an adjustment. They said that the rear brakes were not making contact at all and it was causing the front brakes to do all the work and it was "throwing a lot of heat" up that way. That made perfect sense to me because I was having constant problems with the anti-lock braking system, and I wondered if there wasn't something contributing to it. Also, the fluids that they said needed flushing (coolant, power steering) jived perfectly with what I already knew had not been done to the car in the recent past. Great experience with these guys and I can't wait to take my car back to them.
