    All Washed Up Inc
I found All Washed Up on Angie's List and decided to give them a try due to their excellent ratings. David was easy to work with on the phone and had them do an estimate that day. There wasn't much to that process. So far as we can tell they drove by slowly in a van just to get a look at the house. I was sent an estimate in my email and was able to approve it online. I was surprised to not hear back from them in the next few business days, but when I called to check on it David was very helpful and we had them scheduled to do the work within a few days from that time. The crew was very professional and courteous. Overall the process did not take long, maybe a few hours for all three services combined (siding, gutters, and windows). There was a mix-up where they had washed only the exterior of the gutters and not the interior, but with one phone call to David that was straightened out and they took care of it the next morning. It was an honest mistake, and they were very apologetic for it. Now for the bad. This isn't really their fault, but I wanted to mention a warning to anyone having their exterior windows washed. Make 100% sure that you know EXACTLY how water tight they are. We have three downstairs that were installed by a previous owner. We've never had issues with them leaking, even in heavy rains, so we assumed they were as water tight as any. Never assume anything. Direct pressure from washing is much different than rains, where the roof and gutters redirect the bulk of the water. When they went to wash those, water started pouring in. I had a puddle in the floor, water all over my kids' toys, and water all in our laundry/workbench area. All of this is in a finished basement. From that point on it was a nightmare running back and forth trying to find towels and checking every window to make sure nothing was coming in. Even the newer ones upstairs leaked a bit, and the front door had a puddle. When it was at its worst I asked the guys to hold off on certain areas and they kindly obliged. They are not liable, however, for whether your home leaks. So make sure to be proactive about it. All of that to say, their work is of good quality and the crew is easy to work with. Just make sure you're there when the work is performed and/or that your house won't leak. Also, don't be afraid to go around checking as the work is being performed. They won't be offended. The kids even thought it was fun.

Mr Hamel came the day I called & gave an estimate. I told him I wanted it done the next week ( this was Friday.) He called Monday and said he could work it in that day. The crew came about 1:00 and did excellent job.

    Rempfer Construction Inc
Had a piece of my house's fascia trim siding get blown off in one of the heavy wind days. Not something that Lowes or Home Depot stock, so I went online to Angie's list to look for a siding contractor. Contacted Rempfer to see if they could help, and as it turned out, they thought they might have installed the siding on our 4 year old house. The gentleman I spoke with told me if they did the work, he would replace the piece at no cost to me because they offer a 5 year guarantee on their work! Sure enough, their records showed they did install the siding and true to their word, they installed a replacement piece at no charge. That's customer service and this is a stand-up company. Highly recommend them for any siding, roofing or gutter work.

    Gray Contracting
Eric did replaced our old roof last fall (WONDERFUL JOB!!), so I knew he would be the only person to do this work. Eric is an expert in the many crafts involved in construction: he is either doing the work himself or directly supervising it, a rare quality in today's construction world where many so-called owners and supervisors don't know which side of a hammer to hold. He is honest, informative, and full of good suggestions about things to do to save money or improve the project. I trust him implicitly. Our siding looks great. Everyone who comes to the house comments on how much better it looks. Whenever I need any kind of general contracting work on my property, Eric Gray will be the person I call.

    Maintenance Plus
Contracted with Maintenance Plus to paint all the exterior woodwork on my home, including wrap around porch, wood behind gutters, screened porch, all exterior doors.  They pressure washed all the woodwork prior to painting, and also pressure washed brick walkways, brick porch and brick patio.  Also had a pole lamp with a day/night sensor that stopped working, they replaced the sensor, which turned out not to be the problem.  So they came back and cleaned out the fixture and got it working again.  I have used Maintenance Plus many times before, and have always found them to be responsive, efficient and reasonable.

    Deck Pro
Victor was a pleasure to work with. He responded to my inquiry quickly and explained all my options. Our deck is pretty old and was on its last legs. It is structurally sound but the boards were cracked and a few dry rotted. Deco pro used a deck over stain. They came and performed the work on schedule and early than he said he would be able to, which was great! They put down two coats and when it dries it looked kind of splotchy in one spot. Victor called me to ask how it looked the evening they had finished. I explained about the color and he came the next morning and put down another coat. The deck looks fantastic and that is saying something compared to what it looked like. I did not do comparisons on prices but I thought his price was very fair and definitely worth the service he provided.

    Gray Contracting
Mr. Gray was professional, helpful with ideas, reasonable, and did very good quality work. He not only replaced a damaged siding slat but moved one from the back of the house to the most visible location so it would blend well. The stair post was completely loose and rotted at the bottom. He replaced the wood post and secured it well by digging a very deep hole and cementing it in. No surprises or issues. He did the work himself and did well. We will  use him again in the future.

    Wainwright Painting Services, Inc.
They really specialize in older mansion-type houses. They are very good at restoration as well as painting. They're not cheap, but you get an excellent job. Their crew is very nice as well. I give them a B+ on price.

    K & W Painting
This is a wonderful contractor.  He came when he said he would and did a thorough job.  They washed the house completely including things they would not be painting (plastic railings, Trex flooring, etc.  The second day they repaired and replaced missing moldings re-nailed loose clapboards, repaired a broken window caulked and primed.  They replaced a piece of rake board that the squirrels had chewed into.  The third and fourth days were spent painting the house.  Windows got 2 coats.  The final day they finished up.  They washed all the windows on the outside.  Painted the light posts in the yard and even repainted the house number signs that flank my driveway
The crew was neat, clean, and courteous  Neither my wife nor I heard any offensive language  We felt very comfortable about leaving the house unoccupied when we went to shop or run errands.
We have asked him to return after the holidays to do some interior painting

Two gentlemen came out with truck, did not have hot water but spent a windy day cleaning the siding of my tall two story home.  They did an excellent job.  Completed all work on same day.
