    I asked both in person and in writing for an estimate for the work I requested. I never received anything but a call about needing new spark plug wires that would cost about $100. When I went to pick up my car my bill was $717. I was shocked and was told that the spark plug wires listed at NAPA for $160 but they only charged me $140. I paid my bill and left. A few days later after talking to 2 other shops I did some checking and found that NAPA had no plug wires that even listed near that high. The ones this shop bought listed for $87 and actual cost to the shop, $49. So then I call the manufacturer of the transmission cooler I provide the shop and was told that was a 1 hour job at best. And after inspecting the install of the cooler, I found it had been installed pinching my radiator and AC radiator together. This will need to be corrected. Their shop rate was $60 an hour. So basically I was double charged for the labor and parts used.

    This was a truly amazing experience!  I expected to spend several days searching, a day waiting around to get the work done and a $400 bill at the end.  Not so!  I went online got a quote from Safelite, and in less than 24  hours Jason showed up at my house and  replaced the windshield in my driveway, cleaned up after himself and was gone.  The price was about 2/3rds what I expected.  jason, the technician, was personable, professional, and very competent.
    I highly recommend Safelite of Charlottesville, VA,  especially if you can get Jason in the Staunton area.

    I've never had a pleasant experience here and probably will take the time to drive further for better service. Being in the service industry myself-- my employer would never let me get by with that kind of behavior towards who I am helping.

    It went very well. I got the vehicle to Interstate overnight so it would be there when they opened. I called in early to explain to Wayne Sipe (the owner) what was happening and asked them to put it on their computer to run a diagnostic on it. A couple of hours later he called me with an update and 2 options of what I needed. They moved ahead with the repairs I needed immediately (plugs and wires and a cooling sensor). And we discussed what I need to do to drive safely until I can have the additional repairs done. I had my vehicle back later that day.
    I have been a very satisfied customer of Interstate Muffler and Wayne's since about 1985 - he has worked on every car I've owned and I have recommended him to friends, associates and family for decades. Thank goodness I called him for an estimate for a new muffler for my first vehicle.

    It went very well. I called in the morning to schedule an inspection. My work schedule is crazy - so its important to get in and out of appointments promptly so I always call and schedule ahead. Mark worked me in the next day and I was in and out in a good time frame.
    I've dealt with Mark at various times over the years and ever once when I lived in Harrisonburg and he came to pick up my car and take it back to the shop for me.
    Each time he has explained in detail what was needed and what was done. As a woman - I appreciate dealing with men who talk to me, not down to me about my vehicle. And who work with me - that is not true of all mechanics, but I appreciate and recommend the mechanics who do. I do recommend Mark Martin's Auto World

    These guys were gems to work with. They up front and low key, and were also very fun to work with. We loved that they were not high pressure, they just gave us their best deal, and allowed us to make the decision without hassle.We had already priced the Outback at other dealerships, and they were able to not only meet the other dealer's prices, but saved us a few hundred dollars overall.

    It's a small privately owned business. He's had his mechanics forever. They do everything by appointment for the most part but if I have a problem I can walk in. I've been using them for years.  If the guy tells me that he can't fix something, he frequently doesn't charge for it and he will refer me to somebody that can fix it.  If it's a part that I need, he will find out what it costs.  He goes on the internet and finds a used part if he can.  I would tell people to go to him and to call for an appointment.  He has a lot of loyal customers.  His prices are a lot less than the dealer.  His service charge is somewhere in the $65 range per hour.  His quality of service has been good.  He can't be very responsive because he has a small business.  When he tells me he's going to do something, he does it.  He's very professional.  He didn't send me a Christmas card last year, but that's okay.

    Overall, it was excellent! The first time I called them they set up an appointment and then took it down to where they are at. My husband is sick but they spoke with him with such respect! They were on point with the estimate as well! It was super!

    I had a rattle in my car.  They said it was in the rear of my car.  They didn't fix it at all.  They didn't try and figure out what the problem was or to adjust any of the parts of the car. I eventually had to have it towed and worked on somewhere else.
