  • They were fine. They were good but not great. My interaction with them was not too much. I just sent them my resume and they just reformatted it to that effect. They could be more interactive with the customer.

  • We would not recommend Mr. Crickman for your attorney if you are involved in a divorce. It cost me close to $20,000 in attorney fees and also having to pay $91,000 to the ex-wife.  Every time I wanted to say something to Mr. Crickman or to express my frustration, he would just tell us ?I know you?re frustrated but I?m not going to listen to it.  If you?re not happy, there is the door and
    you can find another attorney.?  He was my attorney; I paid him and if the client cannot be frustrated and be able to talk
    with him, why is he even there?  Whenever we had questions or wanted certain things brought up in court (six court dates
    later), he completely ignored the questions and refused to even listen to them.  I was not supposed to pay her attorney anything.  According to Mr. Crickman, the $5,000 that it was said I owed her attorney, we were informed by Mr. Crickman personally twice in his office that he and the other attorney had shaken hands in court regarding the $5,000; it was to come out of a check that was for her and therefore, her attorney fees that I owed would be paid; don?t worry about it.  He said that they were both officers of the court and if I ever received an invoice from the other attorney to let him know, he would take care of it; he said the other attorney would not want to go to court for that.  Guess what, I have to pay the other attorney $6,000 because Mr. Crickman all of a sudden couldn?t remember ever saying that and why would we think that.  There were many instances in the 1 ½ years that I was going back and forth to court that Mr. Crickman would all of a sudden ?forget? what we had discussed and back pedal.  And don?t send emails, ?he gets too many of them and doesn?t have time to read them all.?  He would lose information that was sent to him by us.  We would send it and he couldn?t find it.  We would have to ask him many times
    to please follow up on something.  I was supposed to have a court date and then all of a sudden, you can do that in 3-4
    years if your income drastically changes. What happened to 3-4 months that he had been telling us ? that changed.  Whenever the court dates came, I was always afraid he would not show up; usually did about 5 minutes or closer to the starting time.  Never asked the ex-wife any the questions that was asked of our side, completely ignored my requests for this; not relevant.  If they were relevant for me, they should be relevant for her also. Just did not have his client?s best interest at all.  The judge
    would allow the opposing attorney more time and consideration than Mr. Crickman.  When asked why, he could not give a reason why this occurred; at times it would seem that he was partially aggressive with the judge and the judge would ask him to sit down.  This pattern duplicated many times.  We were always told that he has never seen a divorce case go so bad, apologized and said all we can do is go forward but never any real strategy to help me.  The final settlement court document was sent to Mr. Crickman and the opposing attorney on January 5, 2016. I was not notified or forwarded a copy until we inquired
    via email on February 2, 2016.  His response on the 1st of February ?I haven?t heard anything, I?ll check into it,? even though it was sent to him three weeks ago.  This time-lapse is unacceptable, as my attorney who works for me should be forwarding any notifications of any sort as soon as he receives them. Mr. Crickman was not the attorney that I thought I was going to have upon our first meeting.  We talked and he seemed confident that all would go smooth and if necessary he would be aggressive.  The end result is that I should have got more than one opinion and interviewed a subsequent attorney before making my decision.  Not everyone is versed with legal knowledge so you depend on your first impression and hope for the best.

  • We had replaced a television bulb with a Sony bulb and had the screen go out on us.  Our Sony is over nine years old, and the bulb is one we bought from Sony in 2010.  We thought we might have a bad bulb.  We had called the TV Shop outside of business hours.  The TV Shop called us promptly on the next business day, sent a technician out within two hours.  The technician made sure that he had the correct manual for our older Sony television model before he came.  He called when he was on his way and arrived promptly.  He opened up the machine, identified the problem and fixed it, without trying to sell us any unnecessary parts.  Told us that our bulb had another 1500 hours on it, and that we didn't need to replace it! 

    Since we are using the cable remote for the machine, he had me pull out the original remote.  He used it to pull up the system menu and check a number of different internal items.  Pointed out one factor that we might want to consider for the future, but told us that it was not essential, it was a matter of preference, and that fixing it could be very expensive.  Said that he would look it up and let us know the current cost.  TV Shop let us know the cost that afternoon! 

    These guys will have our business any time that we need work on one of our television sets!

  • I needed my resume revised ASAP and the provider did respond after 24 hours. I choose to locate and use another service (not on Angie's List) in order to facilitate my needs. When I did hear from the provider, he was very courteous and apologetic for not responding sooner. While the initial responsive was not adequate, I would not rate the provider overall as an "F" as I did not have an opportunity to actually use the service.

  • Steve Kelly asked me to bring the works to the shop.  He immediately
    showed me the cause of the problem, told me what he would do to repair
    the clock, and took me into his workshop to show me examples of other
    similar clocks undergoing similar repairs.  The day dial has not worked
    since I purchased the clock 10 years ago.  Steve told me he would need
    to fabricate the 2 missing gears and gave me a separate estimate for
    this repair.  He also noted that the brass back plate was signed by the
    maker, researched him and provided me the information he found - he also
    gave me an unofficial estimate of the clock's value.  I went ot him
    because I had seen another Scottish clock in a high end antiques shop
    that he had restored to perfection and the dealer raved about his work.
    He was a true professional and a delight to work with.  He repaired the
    clock within a couple weeks - faster than he had promised by at least a
    week and charged me precisely what he had estimated.  The brass sleeve
    he had to insert in the back plate to keep the main gear pin running
    true is an invisible repair.  He provided guidance on maintaining,
    adjusting and operating the clock and offered to provide any assistance
    we needed.  After installing the works in the original case, and
    fiddling with the adjustment for a few weeks, the clock now keeps
    precise time - in 2 weeks it has not deviated one second from the time
    that my cell phone provides presumably from the atomic clock - not bad
    for a repaired 200+ year old clock!!!  The world would be a much happier
    place if everyone provided this kind of competent, friendly, helpful

  • When I first noticed these problems, they came out and said that it would take a couple of hours to do. I already had the wood planks for the floor, so he said that they had a handyman that could come out for a lesser amount. I called another company that was wanting to replace the entire floor, and was going to charge me for 8 hours of work. They seemed to know how to fix the floor effectively. They kept me up to date on when they would be here to do the work. They were able to get the work done between 1-2 hours. There were two workers that came and they were very knowledgeable and polite. I would definitely use them again, and have already recommended them to a neighbor of mine. There were some projects that they could not do, but they gave me some recommendations on who to hire.

  • Barrons was supposed to call prior to making the delivery. They did not call, nor did they knock nor notify me in any way when they arrived.  They just set the door down IN FRONT of my garage door and left without notice. I could not get my car out of the garage. When I called the company to complain they said there was nothing they could do but would check to see if anyone would come and move the door. They were supposed to call me back but never did. Just total laziness on the part of the delivery crew and lack of concern from the company about their error.

  • When we called Stafford Electronics, they first tried to problem solve it on the phone to avoid us paying for them to come out. After, they had to come out to properly assess the problem. They arrived on time and were extremely professional. They were very courteous and careful. Their knowledge of the equipment was incredible. He came prepared with all the tools and equipment needed to get the job done. He also provided some additional pointers to prevent this problem or any other problems from happening. With today's technology, it's comforting to know you can call this company and know you are being taken care of. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
