    They are good and I have no complaints there. Their website is good and you can get all the information you need. If you have a problem, you can call up and they will take care of it on the phone or explain what is happening. They have a list of all our prescriptions. I like them. They are good on communication.

    Our insurance provider is a great insurance company for many reasons. First, we have not come across any doctor/dentist/eye doctor offices that do not take Anthem. Second, when it comes time for my husband and I to have kids, Anthem will cover 100% of all maternity care. Yes, 100%. They will even pay for us to get a new breast pump for each pregnancy. Third, they are very accessible by phone. I can call pretty much at any time to ask them questions about what is covered in our plan. I can even call at all hours and speak with a nurse.
    We're pretty pleased with them. But like any insurance, it can get frustrating finding out after the fact what isn't covered. Use them for your medical insurance but definitely get a second dental insurance, because Anthem does not cover much with the dental needs.

    They have a decent selection of physicians and I've been mostly happy with their participating providers that I've used. When my husband needed care out of state they were extremely helpful in setting that up, plus they covered almost completely his very expensive treatments.
    One issue we've had is that there have been issues with crediting our portion of the deductibles. We have had to keep a spread sheet to track how much we've paid. We constantly get bombarded with bills from providers partly because there are two addresses on the back of the card and if providers don't submit to the correct address it takes a long time for the bill to be rerouted to the correct address.
    Beyond that they are slow to pay providers, which means we're constantly being barraged with bills, phone calls and we've had to spend untold hours calling the insurance company and providers to try and straighten out the mistakes. Occasionally, they send the reimbursement check directly to us, which complicates the record keeping even more. That is actually an issue with how the provider submits bills, though I'm confused as to why some checks go to providers and some come to us.
    Fianlly, we've been less than happy with their communications with an explanation of benefits for each office visit. Usually their is just a general statement of fees charged, their portion and our responsibility for bills. I'd prefer and EOB with itemized entries.
    So, overal I'm happy with their choice of doctors and the coverage they offer, which has been excellent, but they score poor marks for making their claims process clear to providers, providing us with well-defined explanations of benefits and tracking the standing of our deductible.

    The staff was great. They made me as comfortable as possible and reasurred me they were going to do everything they could to find out what was wrong with my leg. They took exrays and ultrasounds to make sure there was no blood clot in the leg and to make sue they could find the cause of the swelling. They reassured me everything was going to be ok and after all the work, they called my PCP (Commonwealth Internal Med) with the results of the tests.
