AJohn Nugent & Sons IncThe work performed by this company was simply excellent. Everyone I dealt with at each step of the process was not only knowledgable and professional, but very pleasant to deal with as well. The workmanship done by the installers was impeccable, every connection neat and clean. I could not be more pleased with the results.- David D.

FAble Heating & CoolingThey took my deposit of $160 in cash and were unable to replace the water heater. The owner, Kumar, was unprofessional and unethical saying that he had the same water heater and brought a different, much bigger one. They were not smart enough to try to install 40 gallon water heater in the narrow area of my small closet where I used to have my 30 gallon water heater. They did it several times, bringing more people every time, to try to squeeze the huge appliance into a small area. They were lying to me that they could not install a smaller water heater for obvious reason: they already bought a big one and did not want to make any effort to find another one. They never returned my deposit saying that they had losses. It was not my fault that they were stupid enough to make mistakes. I did not have to pay for their mistakes. At the end ,I found a water heater myself and hired one guy who put it himself. I do not recommend to deal with these people.- Lizzet G.

FDominion Services Heat & Air LLCBe very careful about hiring Dominion Services. Our AC system wasn't keeping up with the hot weather and I asked Angies List for a recommendation. They suggested Dominion Services who was, surprisingly, available to come over in just an hour. The technician arrived and measured the freon in the AC compressor. He said that since the freon was good, it must be that our compressor was undersized, and needed to be replaced. I asked that before we go to that expense, would he check the air exchange to make sure it wasn't clogged or that there wasn't anything else wrong. We'd had the AC system for 12 years and had never had this problem before, so I was skeptical that it was just a problem with the compressor. The tech said he had 30 years of experience and didn't need to see the rest of the system to know that the problem was an undersized compressor. Long story short, he was just trying to sell us a new compressor. I hired another HVAC company and they cleaned the compressor coils and the AC is working fine. I'm obviously upset with Dominion (and having to pay his $110 service fee), but I'm also upset with Angies List for recommending a firm that was clearly just trying to sell a new compressor.- Kenneth A.

ADwyer Plumbing CorpMen called ahead, showed up on time, got the work done ahead of schedule, were quiet, friendly and neat, and left without leaving a mess. They stayed long enough to make sure the system was working well. We were really impressed.- Nancy S.

AIndoor Air Quality MedicsOur technician, Rex, did a fantastic job. IAC sent us a photo of Rex before he arrived so we could verify who he was, and he called us when he was about 45 minutes away to make sure it was still ok to come. He was punctual and did a thorough inspection of both of our A/C units, and gave us the great news that they are in very good shape! We will definitely use IAC again.- Raechel H.

FNelson's HVAC LLCQuality of work was poor -- after a year, other service companies have flagged numerous problems with the installation that has led to extensive leaks and poor performance. After flagging the problems for the company, the failed to respond in any way leaving me to pay out of pocket to repair their mistakes. Avoid this company as they do not stand behind their work if problems arise.- Robert M.

AFrosty's Heating & Cooling IncI've been using Frosty's Heating & Cooling for years so I always start with getting a quote from them. My motor failed in my main zone. Due to placement of hot water heater blocking the motor there were some extra decisions to be made. After talking to the owner James and going over the options I went with new indoor/outdoor units and a new hot water heater. I was given low, medium and higher cost options as well as additional add on choices like air filters, humidifiers, etc. I went with an American Standard sixteen seer unit which was the better than average choice. I have a large high efficiency hot water heater so the installation of that was extra work as well. Overall the project went smoothly from beginning to end. The installers were very respectful of my house and were careful not to damage anything or track dirt in. I had gotten a couple quotes and paid with a check so I feel like although it was a lot of money I got a very good quality equipment professionally installed by for a fair price. There are a lot of very small and very large heating & AC companies. Personally I like the size of Frostys. They are big enough to have a professional staff, but not some giant corporation that is hard to deal with.- Eric J.

FSnell Heating & Air ConditioningIve been a Snell customer since 2012. They serviced my last house and Ive always had a good experience. So when it was time to service the units at my new place I hired Snell. Scheduling was easy and the technician showed up on time. After the service he explained to me that one of my units was low on coolant and that there was either a faulty valve or a leak. That was surprising because my house is just over two years old. He gave me a quote of around $900 to correct this issue. There was a $409 flat fee for refrigerant, $440 in labor, $25 club fee and the cost of any parts required. I declined at the time thinking that the units would be covered our builder. The builder noted I was outside of my warranty and said I could try talking to the company that installed the system. Went back and forth with them with no success. Decided to get a second opinion with another local HVAC company just to make sure there really was a leak. To my surprise the technician that showed up said that there was no leak and the refrigerant level was great on both units. He went through the whole system for over an hour and found NOTHING! I thanked him for being honest and paid the service fee. Snell was dishonest and tried taking advantage of me. They used to be a good company, not sure what happened but youve lost my business.- Jason W.

AIndoor Air Quality MedicsExcellent! They were checking my HVAC system for low coolant and a possible leak which was diagnosed by another company during my annual checkup. That other company wanted $800 dollars to fix the issue. Turns out that company wasnt being truthful. The system was fine, no leak and coolant was normal. I appreciated the honesty and decided to get the Medics membership for seasonal maintenance. Great experience!- Jason W.

FLen the PlumberHere is how my dream of finally purchasing my 1st home turned into a NIGHTMARE experience because of Len the Plumber. I called them for a simple fix of a leaking pipe before we moved into our home. 4 days after we moved in I came home to find my home FLOODED due to a pipe they did not secure properly. The plumber told us it was their fault and they will pay to fix our home. After many days of sleeping in my office we finally called Len The Plumber back who told me I needed to file with my insurance company. We were HOMELESS FOR 3 DAYS and currently 20 days after the flood still have nothing accomplished!! We are currently paying for the damage that they did which is estimated at over $100,000. Yes that is correct, $100,00. We have asked for a refund and as of today, 20 days after our home was flooded they will not pay for the damages they caused nor will they even refund us for the service that they did not correctly provide. My best advice STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They suck!! And on top of that their manage, Rich Grimes, is the most worthless manager I have ever had to deal with. Slimey, slimey company who will screw over every customer they can. STAY AWAY!!!- Danielle G.
