DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is an updated review.  Once you learn how Dr. Segall works ( email, his own web site, how to find his backup when he's not available), the expertise of his prior approval stall ( Mary Ann) , etc... I can say he's as good as it get's.  I'm there for medication management, long term.

Dr. Nnamani was frustrating to deal with, but the office was worse. Start with a phone call to the office. You have never heard in your life (except maybe in a satirical Saturday Night Live skit) such a cold, ridiculously complicated phone recording. It takes several minutes to listen to their list of extensions to find what you need. And of course, none of the useful phone extension or email addr...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Adult son suffers from depression and anxiety. His therapist suggested that he see a psychiatrist to prescribe medication and evaluate his mental health. It is difficult and daunting to find a psychiatrist. There don't seem to be many in this area; they seem to be booked up months in advance, and it's just a challenging time overall--a time of distress for both the patient and the family. This doctor and her office made it all ten times worse! First, Dr, Ijemoa Nnamani speaks English, but so heavily accented that it is nearly impossible to understand her. She was autocratic, demanding, cut us off in mid-sentence, was a terrible listener, and generally had terrible bedside manner. She did return my calls whenever I called her with questions or concerns, but it was pretty much a wasted phone call as I could not understand her heavy accent half the time. (Note: I work and am friends with people from all over the world, with various commands of English. I'm not just being xenophobic here.) We will never go back to her. She prescribed some meds for my son but that's it. No further work to diagnose his issues or quantify the extent of his illness.

I have been to many psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, and Dr. Goldstein was BY FAR the most knowledgeable about my condition and the treatment options available. He also charged less than another psychiatrist I saw who was totally incompetent and useless. I am SO glad I went to see Dr. Goldstein.

Dr. Payne's office is a mess. She has clutter everywhere and dilapidated furniture. She doesn't inspire confidence in her treatment of you. She was fairly easy to talk to but, again, didn't inspire confidence. Her personal appearance also lacked professionalism. I will not be returning to Dr. Payne.
