    This outstanding local (Fairfax City) security services provided wonderfully for me. They installed some 30 wireless sensors tied to a full-time monitored security system, replaced my outdated audio system with new receivers for family room and lower level of home to which I could steam my musical playlists from Pandora to my existing home speakers, added four external video cameras connected to a monitor and hard drive and that were also viewable from an app on my phone. Lou, the President of the firm and Mark the Operations Mgr provided needed consultation and expert recommendations on what could be done to achieve my goals in these three areas, followed up with timely estimates and then sent two terrific senior techs who intelligently overcame several technical hurdles to install a great set of new capabilities with me. When/if I had follow-on questions or simply forgot some of the more difficult to remember instructions for use, they were very responsive in real time either answering questions by phone or by actually coming to the house. I love having a small, customer focused, set of security-audio-video experts so close to my home that I know I can trust.

    We are extremely pleased with Vintage Security. We researched a number of security companies after we were (pretty literally) abandoned by our previous security company. Vintage Security is local, readily reachable - and responsive - in an emergency, and their personnel are all knowledgeable and professional. We never felt pressured or "oversold"; rather the representatives/technicians carefully assessed our situation and custom fit a solution to our requirements - even incorporating, where possible, equipment left from our previous provider.

    I DO NOT recommend Frontpoint. They use sketchy tactics to get customers. I switched from cox home life to frontpoint because cox required you to pay for the device upfront and it was close to $800. When I called frontpoint, they told me I paid a monthly fee so I assumed that meant that I was renting the equipment. Now that I'm moving and don't need the equipment they informed me that I own the equipment and am on a 36 month contract and I need to pay 80% to cancel. While I'm sure the contract stated that, I was never verbally told that. I was buying a home at the time and was presented with multiple contracts so it's on me for not reading the fine print. They had no problem verbally telling me how much it would cost to cancel though. Shady tactics! Be aware!

    Most of the installation went trouble-free. I did have a problem installing the video cam at the front door. We called the service hotline and the technician walked me through the set up and it works perfectly.

    Excellent. Phil, the sales rep came out within 2 days of my call worked with me to define and refine my requirements-never over selling-and chad was out the next week, today to install & chad was efficient, professional, thorough especially in walking me thorough system operations and making sure I had the information and access I required. And he told me-repeatedly, that I could call on him if I were had questions-and ask for maintenance assistance. I feel cared for and am very pleased.

    This was a big deal purchase. I really did not like them because I think they took much longer than they should have taken and then they charged me more, but then they knocked down the price. I was not happy. They got such great reviews but I was not happy with them. They told me I also needed work on the outside of the house including some painting and stuff. They gave me an estimate of like 6 or 8 hours. They charged to go get the materials and to come back. It was, like, double the price that they had originally estimated. They were very slow. The job they did was okay, they were just slow. I think their rates were really high. $100 an hour for just a handyman service. I thought it was extremely high. They can give better estimates and they can be a little quicker. I don't know if it is normal to go to home improvement stores to pick up materials but it took, like, three hours. They charged me about $300 just to pick up the materials. They were good at response. They were professional.

    Everything that I needed to install this alarm system was shipped to me in a box for me to install.  I had some problems installing the window sensors and it took me several phone calls to get the information on how to do that.  I am not a person who is good at doing my own handyman work, but this was pretty easy to do myself.  There were videos on the website that were helpful and the company is very responsive by phone to provide assistance.  I did receive two defective control boxes, but had no problem sending them back and getting a new one sent to me. I like the fact that I can turn the alarm on and off from my cellphone and I was also given a keyfob that I can turn the alarm on and off from outside or inside the home.  All in all, I am very happy with this system.

    There were no additional charges. They were actually pretty responsive in configuring my system. The only thing was, there were not a lot of options to customize some of the sensors that I wanted. My interaction with them was pretty good. They could have better pricing for the equipment. If someone was to ask me about them, I would say that they're pretty good and reliable.

    The Sales Manager Phillip Shields was very informative and able to answer all my questions thoroughly which left me very confident in changing ADT. I had ADT for over 20 years and it was a hassles to get them to do any changes or updates. Finally I had enough and called Vintage. They installed the system in less three hours and explained thoroughly how it works. I love that I can connect my security to my smartphone. Life is so much easier now. I would hire them in a heartbeat.
