    Fairfax Auto Repair
Very pleased with service. Steve and Dan, Service Mgr., diagnosed the problem as a failed battery, which was replaced. Other parts/components were tested and found to be OK Although they were extremely busy, they bent over backwards to do the job quickly and answer all my questions. They are true professionals.

Theses guys are fantastic. Fast, knowledgeable and honest! I brought my BMW into them with a problem that the dealer wanted to charge me thousands of dollars for and they correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it that day for a couple of hundred.

    Foreign Auto Services
These Guys Are Outstanding! I took my 2007 Accord with 175K miles into Foreign Auto Services, primarily because of their stellar reviews on Angie's List. I knew that it needed a lot of little things done and a yet to be thoroughly diagnosed oil leak that needed addressing. Eric and the team were honest to a fault. They gave me a thorough list of all the work that should be done at the time of servicing and the work that would be needed in the future in priority order. Everything that was recommended was documented with at least one picture and that was emailed to me allowing me to make very informed decisions. As the work progressed I received updates via email and any decision points were accompanied by a call from Eric. I never once felt like they were trying to pressure me into getting any work done or recommending work that wasn't needed. I went to Foreign Auto Services because of Angie's List, I will go back because of the outstanding and honest service I received. If you want a place you can trust, this is it.

    Foreign Auto Services
I called about a repair and FAS was able to see me the same day and finished the repair faster than estimated. Honda service quoted the same auto service and it was more than 2x the amount FAS charged me. They were very professional and friendly. I will definitely use again and recommend!

    Dave's Automotive
I was introduced to Dave's Automotive about 6 years ago and I would not take our cars anywhere else for repairs. Dave is knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and honest. Dave always explains the work to be performed so that I can understand, does not push work that is not needed and has always given me what I feel are very fair prices. I would highly recommend Dave's Automotive.

    G&C Tire & Auto Service
I have used their service several times and have always been pleased with how fast the service is. Everyone there is extremely professional and friendly and I love to lounge in the Adirondack chairs out front while I wait. I highly recommend the place.

    Hyundai of Chantilly
I made an appointment before I arrived on 5/5/18. I waited about 3 hours from the point I arrived to have the service completed. After I paid, I discovered that my after manufacturer radio would not turn on. I turned off my car and asked the customer service representative why it was not working? I explained. The radio was less than 5 years old and was working when I arrived at the service center. (I know that for a fact because I used it to navigate myself to their location.) My car was taken back to the service center where I waited another hour for them to look at it. I was hopeful that is was a simple fix and I could be on my way. After an hour of waiting, the customer service representative came to speak to me she was polite and explained that they couldn't figure out why my radio was not working. She said there was nothing that the techs were working on that should have affected the radio. I follow up by saying the radio was working when I arrived and now it is was not. I asked if I could speak to a manager. I was informed that the manager was not there. I explained to the customer service representative I would like to receive some consideration for the fact that I am most likely going to have to replace my radio. She said she would speak to her manager. On the same day, I brought my car to the company that install it. They spent an hour looking the radio and was unable to determine why or how it was broken. I asked the place that installed if they had seen radios that were less than 5 years old just suddenly stop working. I was told "no". I followed up with an email to Hyundai of Chantilly [after bringing it to the place that installed the radio] asking for the manager to contact me; and, to consider I am going to have to replace my radio for an estimated cost of $600.00. I did not ask or state that I wanted them to pay for a new radio. I provided the cost as a point of reference for consideration for anything they could do to help me, considering I now had to spend more money to get the radio fixed. I explained again in the email the radio was working from the point of arriving for service and was not working when I left. The emailed response (no phone call was placed) I received 2 days later from Hyundai of Chantilly was it was not their fault because their techs went nowhere near the radio; and, the best they could offer me was to re install the radio (if I still have it) that came with the car. I declined the offer due to the fact that replacing the radio with a less complex radio could potentially cause problems when I go to replace the after manufacturer radio I have in my car. In a nutshell I am not sure I will be going back to this service center.

    Pollet Automotive
Excellent. Pollet's took the time to find and fix a water leak in the back of my Honda van. The issue was a hole in the body seam at the top of the rear hatch door. This was after Fairfax Honda dealership could not find this serious leak after multiple tries. The dealer is the one who pointed me to Pollet's as a company they use to locate and fix many water leaks. My suggestion is avoid the hassle and price of the dealership and just bring it to Pollet's.

I've done business here a few times and on more than one occasion, it has not been a positive experience. They always recommend more work than is asked for, and often recommend service that is not needed. On our most recent trip, we dropped the car off to get the oil changed, change the microfilter, and fix a faulty windshield wiper fluid pump. What we got was a 4-day saga that ended with a $1700 bill. We dropped the car off after hours on Thursday night. On Friday, we received a call around 11AM to tell us that the car wouldn't start. They asked if they would have permission to perform a diagnostic (what am I going to say when they tell me the car won't start?). At 4PM that afternoon they call to tell me that the starter motor has gone bad. That's possible, but what are the odds that the starter just happens to fail when they try to start the car? They inform me that to change the starter will be $1300 and that they will need to order the part, so the earliest I can get the car back is Monday. They also tell me that I have a headlight out and that it will be $98 to change the bulb (the part is $3.86 online - That's a 96% mark up, for labor?). It's worth noting that Andrea my service advisor was uncompassionate and cold on the phone. She seemed to lack technical understanding needed to explain the issues with my vehicle and was slightly argumentative when I declined certain services. All in, my bill came to $1,710.45 for an oil change, microfilter change, and starter motor (I declined the headlight and washer fluid motor). The microfilter alone came to $186.95, when the part retails online for only $23.93 (that's nearly 8 times more expensive than doing it yourself, and it's a very easy job). When we picked up the car, the paperwork documented that 'customer states car does not start...' - Not true. Why would they document that we brought them a car that wouldn't start? It makes me all the more suspicious... I simply do not trust this establishment. Their services are WICKEDLY EXPENSIVE; they ALWAYS pitch services that were not requested; and the unusual timing of this significant repair makes me question whether I'm paying for a new starter when perhaps it wasn't needed. I will never, ever, ever take my car to this dealership again. Good bye BMW of Fairfax!

    County Transmissions Inc.
They are very good. They let us know it was not a transmission problem and referred us to a mechanic to fix it. They actually drove my car around the corner to another mechanic and that person fixed it. They were really good. They are honest, reliable and quick on assessment. For price I will give them an A. There was no charge for the evaluation but the estimate was cheaper than the dealership.
