Water Heater Repair And Installation reviews in Fairfax Station

Excellent. Office manager was a pleasure to work with - handling pricing up front and scheduling. Technicians took pride in their work. They arrived on time, removed the old 50-gal gas hot water heater and replaced it (with one that I had purchased). In addition to the hot water heater, they installed an expansion tank and a drip pan with piping to a nearby floor drain.

Mark (master plumber) came to the house, quickly looked at the hot water heater and then asked about the exhaust pipes from the gas water heater and gas furnace. After showing him where they went, he told me they were not within code! This fact is extremely important because none of the other people who came to give quotes ever considered the location of the exhaust pipes. Also learned that only licensed professionals can obtain a work permit for your house (homeowners can obtain them as well). Project cost more but the updates passed county code with flying colors!! Mark was very professional, called before arriving, arrived and worked project until finished, put drop cloths down and cleaned up each day after they were done. Due to location of previous water heater, we had it moved to a better location with more room. Glad we did because 2 mos later we had to replace our furnace/AC unit.

Its rare to experience the combination of knowledge, professionalism, responsiveness, and simple pleasantness and courtesy all at a competitive price. But thats what we got from IAQ. Troy proposed simple, automated solutions to our zone and damper issues where other companies either overlooked the issue or wanted to do major construction. Scott and Drew in the office were quick to respond from the first visit to answering all of our dumb questions throughout the process. Chris, Joe and the other installers did a great job and left our HVAC room cleaner than when they arrived. They too answered all questions, went over the systems, what they would do, and showed us how everything was done and worked. IAQ makes effective use of technology and communications in their operations and product offerings. Highly recommended overall.

I had a water heater failure and called my home warranty, the plumber they sent came 12 hours later and said the fix would take a week. That night I sent an email appointment request for Len the Plumber. Amazingly they called within 30 min and I had an appt for first thing the next morning. The best part was at 08:00 sharp Mark Martin showed up, assessed my situation, gave a very reasonable quote and replaced my water heater within 4 hours. I cannot day enough about Mark, total pro and he explained everything, a pleasure to work with. I wont go anywhere else for future plumbing issues and have save Marks number on speed dial for a by name request the next time I call Len the plumber!

I was hoping a cheap replacement part or adjustment was needed, but my old tankless needed an expensive overhaul to fix it and then it would still be old. The technician clearly explained options for replacing it with a more up to date model. So I went with that and got a nicer heater. Since I already had the pipes and gas line, it cost quite a bit less and went in vety quickly. I'm very pleased witb the professionalism and courteous service. Would definitely use them again.

I was shocked by the price but part of that had to do with a mix up about the size of the water tank. The old tank was so old and so large and it turned out my old tank was smaller in terms of gallons it would heat. He made a special trip to the plumbing company and selected one that was bigger then what I was using before.

It was an honest mistake. What he did was he did put in some extra valves for me, this is how he attempted to correct his error. I thought that was commendable. They came out and dealt with the problem quickly. I think this was an honest mistake he made and he quickly tried to adjust and make up for it.

This was our first experience using O'Quinns as we had a regular plumber that looks after our home, unfortunately they were not available for 2 weeks to come and look at our broken water heater. Nick arrived the next day early but didn't grumble about waiting for my arrival from work. Nick located the problem with our water heater and sourced a new part rather than just inform us we needed to new heater. Due to us being without water for a few days whilst waiting on delivery of the new part, Nick very kindly came out on a Saturday to repair the heater and ensure we had hot water again. Great job Nick and many thanks, you are now our go to plumber for our heating and water needs.

I had them come out to check my furnace in one of the deals you buy and they did find that the heat ex-changer had big holes in it and they showed it to me and that I needed to buy a new furnace. They asked me whether I wanted some sort of package where they come and look at it to make sure everything is okay for air conditioning and for heating, a check sort of thing and I said, 'okay' and paid for that. My water heater blew up and sprayed water everywhere. So I called them. They didn't put that water heater in I just want to say but their name was on the front. They sent a plumber out here and he went on about how there was no limiter on the thing and that it could probably never blow up again. Then he said he needed to snake the drain and when he did that, he said he was running into something then I took him out and he looked I have a septic system. 700 and some dollars later, he left. 3 days later the same thing happened and when I called them to say I had the same thing happening, they didn't send anybody out here. They said they didn't have anybody to send. My basement was flooding, I had no hot water and it was Christmas. This all happened on Christmas eve and I waited after Christmas and they didn't have anybody.  I called another company and they came out and the reason I was having the problem was that the pressure limiter had given way and that was causing the blowups. It took him 10 minutes to find the problem and then he did some other investigation and asked me whether the guy had snaked the drain and I go, yes. He asked me whether the guy told me what he was getting out at the end of the snaking and I said, no. He told me there was mud in there, that there was something wrong with the piping, like it was cracked or something. So of course I had to pay them another 700 dollars. I called Clover up and told them this was unacceptable. I was given wrong advice and I paid for snaking and all these kind of things yet they never got to the root of it. So they promised me a 300 dollar refund and I told them to throw in a free year of checking on the furnace and they told me they don't do that any more because it doesn't pay. They never sent me the money despite repeated letters. I would never deal with them again. They are dishonest and its just unbelievable how incompetent the whole thing was. They didn't own up to their mistakes and the deal they had agreed to. When I talked to them more recently about this, they said that they had all new management now and they'd look into that. Of course nothing ever happened. These people never checked the water pressure, I was there with them the whole time.

We have used Baumbach plumbing three times, and are fully satisfied. Tony was the technician on the last two visits, and is an expert. He did some added minor tasks at no cost while here. He arrived at the beginning of the two-hour window both times, did his job well, and offered solid advice on all aspects of the job, and on other home plumbing questions.
