Landscaping reviews in Earlysville

Paul completed the job several years ago when I was not a member of Angie's List. So I am writing a review now because it was unforgettable. He did an excellent job! A crane came to lift the branches from the backyard and move them very carefully between my neighbor's house and our house to the front yard. It was a huge job! Paul Cox Tree Service is the only tree company I call for tree removal.

The entire process was wonderful. Very shortly after contacting Serenescapes, Eric called back and set up an appointment to look at the site with a few days. He was very knowledgeable about the problem. He gave a verbal estimate at the time, but said that he would price it out and send a written proposal. The price did not deviate from his verbal estimate. We were very happy with the price and his discussion of how to proceed. We got the written estimate on 9/25/18 and the work was completed on October 13 (that was despite numerous days of rain in between those dates. Eric and his crew showed up as promised and completed the job within a couple hours. We were very happy with the professionalism of his crew and the quality of their work which included time to not just dump the rocks but to carefully place them. The project has stopped the erosion that was occurring and is aesthetically pleasing. We would definitely hire them again and are planning on seeking a bid for them to take over the lawn and shrub care starting in 2019.

Eric was exceptionally knowledgeable and was quickly able to assess the problems in our landscaped beds that we were unaware off. Several plants were in a bad state because of fungal infestation and overgrowth. There were two large trees in the woods growing over our lawn that he was able to identify as invasive which he recommend removing. He was punctual, listened to our expectations, and gave us an estimate promptly. Although we decided to go with him, we later felt it was too much of an investment at this time since we had other major deck and porch repairs to complete. He was very professional and courteous throughout the process.

Waynesboro Nurseries Landscaping has completed several landscaping and hardscape jobs for me over the last 10 or so years -- all with excellent results. Their team has worked together for many years and can take care of projects from design to completion. I have worked with Reid (sales) on all my jobs and he has an excellent eye for detail and problem solving from start to finish. He also stays in touch during the whole process. All the projects were completed on time and in budget. The work crew is very efficient and bring all the needed materials with them daily. They also remove excess material and leave things neat and clean upon completion of the work. I look forward to using Waynesboro Nurseries for all future landscaping needs.

Donnie and his team were very professional and courteous and his services were quite reasonably priced. He was quick to respond and provide a quote and the crew arrived on time and worked together efficiently to complete the job. I would hire G&G Services again in the future.

The services were performed very well. One glitch- a gazing ball was broken during cleanup, but the company replaced it with precisely the same gazing ball at no charge to me. The estimate was nearly spot on- only about 100.00 over. The work was professional and neat. Trimmings, weeds, branches etc were cleaned up. The garden was edged. Even my wisteria got a facelift and a new pole to climb. My raised garden and gate were fixed. It looks great! I would use this company again. You get what you pay for here.

I think their prices are reasonable and they're good. I live in a forest, so there is a lot of tree work here. There were quite a few trees involved. These jobs vary from one job to another. It depends on how many trees are taken down and what you want done, but I consider their pricing reasonable. I don't remember how many trees there were, or how large they were, but they were fairly large trees. I have been using them for the last 20 years. I think there were about 4 or 5 people that came out to complete the work. It was heavy work. The workers that I came in contact with were fine, very nice people. They worked speedily. It was the better part of the day. It was heavy work. They grind up the trees too. They have a truck with a grinder. They have a mechanism for reaching the higher branches of the tree. They have all the appropriate equipment that is needed for this kind of work.

He does $35.00 for the mowing, and $35.00 for an hour for other kinds of work like aerating, distributing new grass seed, or distributing mulch, that sort of thing. He does all sorts of landscape type work. He is very fast too. I think that is a very reasonable rate for what he does. It's hard work. He did a very good job on my lawn. Last fall, he aerated and distributed compost, and planted seed, and it looks better that it has in a long long time. So, I think he does a really good job on restoring the lawn. I am very satisfied with the work that he does for me. He does seem to be busy, so people can't get him out immediately, but he seems to be in control of his schedule. He knows when he can do the work for you, and does it when he says he will.

Paul and crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and effectively. They were professional, considerate of the surroundings, and courteous. All remnants were removed and debris cleaned up before collecting the check at the end of the two day job. It was a fascinating process to witness. They used a crane and industrial sized chipper along with a couple other pieces of equipment. Check out their website to see video footage.

The work was done well. The crew was pleasant and they left the yard in good condition. Because this was such a good deal, I believe they were overbooked. So be prepared to wait and be persistent. Every time I called, the phone was picked up, and I was told there would be a response when they got back to the office, but there wasn't. Without this hiccup in the process, I would have rated this an A on all accounts.
