    Excellent -- Dan showed up as promised and worked diligently to complete the job. While he was here, we asked him to patch a few places inside that needed drywall repair. One of the days that he was here, the weather turned rainy, so he asked if we would like for him to paint the room that had the most drywall patch. The price was very reasonable and he had painted the major portion of our rooms on the first floor for us in August of 2014. He did a great job on that room as well. Every day that he was here, he quit in time to clean up all of the mess and put ladders and things away so we did not have any mess to clean up ourselves. Dan is the kind of guy that I would trust to be in our home without us being there. He and our dog got along great. The job was completed in May of 2018 despite all of the rainy days that we had in May. The work was excellent! He washed all of the areas that he was going to paint first. He caulked all of the joints in the trim and replaced some of the rotted wood in a few places. He removed the downspouts and cleaned the gutters while he was painting and then reinstalled the downspouts. Our trim looks beautiful! We have hired other painters over the years in other homes. Dan is absolutely the best one we have ever worked with!

    Troy Bilt was a great fit for our job. Troy and Mark do quality work and are very interactive and responsive as the job progresses . Troy came out promptly to give a quote. Work was started sooner than originally planned and he stayed on the job until it was completed. He also suggested a few value added enhancements as things moved along. Troy has a good eye for detail and matching new construction in with the existing structure. The job site was cleaned up every day before they left; and all trash and waste material was removed from the site. All the county inspections went smoothly. I look forward to using Troy Bilt again for future projects.

    Walter and crew are amazing.  Walter went above and beyond to make sure the job was done to his very high standards which matched my very high standards.  I could set my watch by 8am when his guys would show up.  4-5 guys worked 8am-6pm+ 7 days a week for 13 days to get the job done prior to moving my family into the house.  We gave Walter the code to the garage door and he would work even if we weren't home.  It was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend Walter.  An example if the above and beyond is when Walter fixed a leaking toilette value and leaking roof vent that were causing water stains and damaged drywall in the family room and bedroom.  I didn't find out until after he had fixed the issue.  Walter is a great person.  Thank you Walter.

    Kennard Moore, the owner, was quick to respond to a request for quote.  He came on time and provided the estimate within 24 hours.  His estimate was in line with another I had received.  I chose Moore Masonry because of their deep knowledge masonry in my area and the replacement challenges of getting a correct match to older work.  Also, as part of his visit he recommended a company that could do repair welding and refurbish my rusted, steel stair railings while we fixed the brick.  This recommendation was invaluable as it saved me several hundred dollars over similar quotes.
    After I got the rails repaired and ready Kennard scheduled the work to occur 2 weeks later.  His mason was on time and worked very hard to ensure the replacement brick would be matched perfectly with the existing brickwork.  He was professional, polite, and very focused on doing an excellent job as opposed to just trying to be quick.  All the repairs were completed in a few hours and they look excellent.  He also reset and cemented the stair railings in the brickwork.
    They cleaned up after themselves, were very professional, and did excellent work.  I am grateful they would take on a relatively small job and do it so well.

    Melinda came promptly to do the assessment, and she was extremely thorough.  She looked on the inside and outside to be sure they had an accurate count as well as a sense of where everything was that we wanted cleaned.  She was friendly and outgoing -- not afraid of our loud and barking dog -- but also businesslike and on track.  Her demeanor was professional and inspired confidence in the value and quality of the work to be done.
    The team of four men arrived on time the following week, set up in the driveway and split up to do the work.  The two men on the outside were considerate of the plantings as they moved ladders around the foundation.  The two men on the inside carefully moved furniture out of the way of the windows.  Both groups moved quickly, but were obviously very well versed in the skills it takes to clean efficiently and thoroughly.  I don't remember by now, but I would estimate it took about 5 or 5-1/2 hours to complete the work.
    A brief note about price:  we were a little surprised by the total for the whole house, and we eliminated the top floor to bring the total more in line with what we wanted to spend at that time.  After seeing the work, I have to agree wholeheartedly with other reviewers who  have expressed great satisfaction with the high value of the service they received.  Me, too!
    The cleaning was fantastic.  We have lived here for a little over seven years, and except for my sporadically dabbing at them, there has been very little window cleaning in this house!  The amount of new light pumping into the house is extraordinary.  Wish we had done it sooner!
    We would recommend Melinda and the cleaners at Cavalier Window Cleaning and Power Wash for any job you might want to have done in those categories.  No matter how your wishes vary from the "average," I would bet they could tailor their services to provide exactly what you want.  They are a remarkable team!

    This is one of those challenging reviews.  The outcome--product--was very good, but the process was painful at best.  The "B" ranking is only because we like the product.  If we were to average the components of the experience, the final grade would be lower.  The owner was very engaged initially with the design, pricing, etc. to the point of being a nuisance.  Once the contract was signed, the attention diminished tremendously--almost disappeared.  The project took a couple of months more than the projected date of completion.  The price was higher than the quote because some items in the quote were much more expensive than the "estimate" said and small things generated extra charges, e.g., moving an outlet in a remodeled bathroom.  They made a few errors which they corrected, e.g., removing and breaking a window that was not supposed to be removed--because the workers were using outdated plans on the job site.  The project manager was excellent but clearly overworked, i.e., managing more projects than he could keep up with.  The quality overall was very good--no complaints about that.

    I don't want to sound overly negative.  This is a company that I think needs some maturation/experience and more customer focus.  The product was very good.  The professionalism was lacking, e.g., communication, promptness, on-time completion, fulfilling commitments in a timely manner.  Initially, they were extremely detail oriented but then missed quite a few, e.g., bathroom fixtures left out of the initial quote.  A few of the prices in the quote were so low that the purchase prices were almost double, e.g., toilet.  The sales person at Ferguson's said, "we don't have a toilet for that low price.  He knows that!"  That didn't make me happy.  All of these misquotes meant that I had to pay more to get the project done.  I went with this company only because I heard they did a good job and their price was $15,000 less than a company I  had used and liked.  In the end, I paid $5,000 more than the company that I had planned to use.

    Part of the problem was that they demanded that we use this on-line system for "approving" choices and communicating with them.  It clearly was for them.  They refused to start the project/order anything until we approved each item--sight unseen--on their website.  So, we were coerced into doing this--and it turned out ok.  But it was not customer-centered.  It was for their protection.  When we tried to communicate with them through this website--which they told us was the "official communication" mechanism, there were no responses.  Someone--reportedly the building inspector--put his foot through the ceiling of the recently renovated kitchen leaving a large  hole.  While it eventually was repaired, no one spoke with us about this.

    I let a year pass before writing about our experience.  We were quite frustrated initially.  We still have very negative feelings about the process, but we have been very satisfied with the outcome of the project.

    ED was completely professional. He and his crew were on-site every time they said they would be, left the area clean and organized after each day of work and did a beautiful job. He was very accommodating of the change orders we requested and priced his work most reasonably. One mishap occurred during the deck cleaning (which he did with an oxidizing bleach rather than a pressure washer - a far superior methodology). Some of the bleach splashed onto the side of the house which left spotted areas. Without any hesitation, ED repainted the entire side of the house!
    Because of the quality of his work (and the demand for it) he may take a few days to return calls before the job begins. He is worth the wait!

    This was the second time I have used Joseph.  He is extremely professional.  He always calls before he starts a job.  He is prompt and  finishes the job in the time frame that he has estimated.  He uses quality products and communicates continually as he completes the work..  In addition, he goes above and beyond completing additional jobs that he didn't include in the estimate at no extra charge.  
    In my case, he washed my lawn furniture, cut down a cedar tree and cleared other brush.  He washed and stained a side walk, weeded flower beds and cleared and carted off debris not related to the job.  He always wants to make sure that you are pleased with the work completed.  When I was concerned about the coverage of the stain on the deck he added another coat of stain.  Now it is beautiful and I would highly recommend Joseph as a very competent and professional contractor!

    We contacted Certa Pro based on a good Angies list rating and a personal recommendation from a friend who had used them in the past.  Bill came out to look at the project within a few days of initial contact and was able to provide a written estimate of the painting (stain) part of the job before he left.  He used a computer based formula to estimate the painting job and included the credit for the Angies list coupon we gave him at the time of the estimate. The carpentry repairs were included in the estimate on a time and materials basis since it was dificult to know exactly what might be underneath the damaged trim boards. Bill thought it should be about a week for the painting team and about a day for the carpenters.  Bill expected it would be 3 to 4 weeks before they could start the work (weather permitting) but they would stay on the job until it was finished one they did get started. 
    We accepted the proposal a few days later (it was considerably less than the other bid we had recieved).  To our surprise, Certa Pro contacted us within a week and asked if we could schedule the job to start sooner.  The painting team (Chip was the team lead) was great.  They arrived each day around 8:00 and worked until 4:30.  They only missed one day for weather. They were very professional and did a great job making progress everyday and making sure the ladders and materials were stack up neatly every day.  They were very careful of the plantings around the house and even worked around a nesting house wren who was hatching chicks (they just fledged  two days ago).  They did two coats on the southern exposure wall because they were not satisified with the way a single coat covered. High marks all around.
    The carpenter team ended up taking longer than expected to remove damaged boards and replace them.  One team showed up on the 2nd day of the project and then a different team showed up two days after that. There was some loss in communication between the carpenter teams and progress seemed slower than we had expected.  In the end they finished in time for the painters to complete the final punch out and the quality of the work was fine.  They did not provide an in progress estimate on the labor and materials and the carpentry charge that was presented to us was considerably higher than we had hoped.  We spoke to Bill the next day and he understood our concern and we compromised on a reduced charge that seemed more reasonable. 
    Overall we found working with Certa Pro to be a great experience and we would recommend them to others.  The painters were top notch and the pricing very reasonable. If you have a part of your project that requires time and materials, we would suggest you include a not- to -exceed number in the contract as a measue of protection and reduce the chance of miscommunication.

    Greg came and gave me an estimate on the day and time that he said he would.  He was very professional.  He asked questions to make sure he understood what it was that I wanted and promised to have the estimate by the following Monday.  I received the estimate as promised.  It was clear exactly what work would be preformed and how much each component of the project would cost. After receiving other estimates  I thought that Greg's estimate was fair.
     I hired Greg to do the work.  Originally he told me he could not start the project until mid June.  Lucky for me his schedule allowed him to start the project earlier than expected.  Greg showed up when he said he would.  He was on time and completed the project in the amount of time he said it would take. I feel like he delivered quality work for a reasonable price.  He even did a couple of small extra things at no additional cost.  When I received the bill it was exactly what the estimate said it would be.
    I will be sure to call Greg when it's time to remodel my master bath or do any other project in my home.  I wish I had found him earlier. .
