Auto Repair reviews in Earlysville

They seem to do very good work. They are very good at diagnosing things. Price is probably quite reasonable. Not cheap, but reasonable, probably the going rate. The quality is fine. I don't know very much about cars, but they did their best to explain what they were doing and it seemed reasonable. The workers that I came in contact with were fine. Mostly I came in contact with the owner of the shop, and he is very knowledgeable about cars. I'm quite impressed by him. They did the work very quickly, I was surprised by how quickly they were able to do it. Earlysville Auto is in walking distance of my house, that is another reason for choosing them.

They were fair. They were right on-time and they were very professional. They did an excellent job so I would recommend them. They were just all around good. I had not complaints. They were very punctual and informative. They were just top-of-the-line.

When I took my car out, one of the brakes was dragging and I had to take it back and they had to redo it. They put the emergency brake actuator cable on the wrong way. So it just was on all the time. I turned around and brought it back and they found it. That could happen. I would give them an 'A' if it wasn't for that. Their pricing was fair. Their responsiveness was very good. They took it quickly in there and set other things aside and fixed it. Their service was quick. They responded to the customers when you came in the door quickly. I've been going there for 20 years. I generally get my cars inspected there. They've been very good.

I can't remember the cost but Roger replaced an air conditioner condencer and it was done well and for a very reasonable
price. He has also done other work, oil change and a PCV valve, and I've been pleased. He has an informal and friendly
1-12demeanor that someone may interpret as unprofessional but he's fair and very competent in my view.

It took several days to get all,of the necessary parts shipped in for the a/c and the repair went fine. After nearly three months the system is working fine and the car, which had an engine miss, continues to run great.

I have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with almost 110,000 miles on it. In February I took it in for an oil change and to see what kind of preventative maintenance it needed. I was hoping they would give me a list of things that needed to be done and help me prioritize that list. Unfortunately, in addition to the regular preventative stuff they also found that the Jeep had a cracked head gasket. They gave me a quote for everything with the head gasket costing anywhere from $1700 - $2200 and everything else coming in at about $850. They explained that the head gasket was the top priority fix but also explained how to keep the antifreeze full and not to let it overheat, understanding that it wasn't something I was going to be able to afford to address right away.
I dropped the Jeep off on a Monday a few months later and was told it would probably be at least a week. In addition to the original list of repairs I also asked them to change a head lamp and do the state inspection. They called me on Friday morning and said it was ready to come pick up. I was very pleased that the repairs were done sooner than I anticipated and for $500 less than I expected.
The people there are courteous and professional. Warren worked on my car and he's wonderful. I am 100% thrilled with the service I received at Airport Road Auto Center and will definitely go there for all future auto maintenance and repairs.

Having just moved to Virginia, we needed our C240 inspected per VA law. Because we have used independent German car repair shops with success in the past, we took this opportunity to and quot;test driveand quot; Auto Teknika. We wondered ...Do these guys seem a safe bet for a big repair job down the road?

Benz/BMW/Audi owners prepare yourself, the building exterior will not dazzle you. Nor will the 'waiting room'. But the low key, competent nature of the founder/owner reassures one. And, we are told, they have the latest in diagnostic equipment - which is important because no matter where you take your car for repairs, you pay for the time spent determining the nature of the problem.

Also of note ... Auto Teknika takes the approach of many independent German car shops in that they will repair what needs replacing - and not arbitrarily replace parts before their time. The MB dealerships and quot;go by the bookand quot; and while that is 'safe' it is often overkill and of course very expensive. So if you need new air filters, but don't want a full tune up, you might try Auto Teknika.

The basic VA inspection went off without a hitch, and we will try these gentlemen again. For starters with the periodic 10,000 mile service, and maybe some new struts, and then report back to Angie's List. We plan on keeping this car for a long time, so we need a MB shop we can afford. For now we trust Auto Teknika. Stay tuned.

This was the latest in a string of bad experiences with Brown. It was a simple oil change. Three days after the service I noticed oil in my wife's side of the garage. I called her and requested she come straight home. When she arrived, I checked the oil drain plug and found it very loose and covered in oil. When I checked the dipstick, it was not showing oil. I tightened the plug and filled the car with oil. From the volume I put in, about four of the five quarts had leaked out. We had the car checked by our regular garage, not Brown, and were satisfied there was no damage. When we wrote Brown a very direct letter stating that an error like this at the dealer was completely unacceptable, they tried to lure us back with a promise of a free oil change. That would be unwise of us, given their track record. Given that they professed this kind of event is unheard of at Brown, we would have expected the general manager to handle the complaint, but a customer service specialist was given the task. There has been nothing but bad experiences with this dealer, and it has reaffirmed our reluctance to take the car to them for any non-warranty work. They've gone so far as to recommend new Michelin tires after 30,000 miles, even though the wear is well within safe limits. We are currently trying to get them to diagnose a severe hesitation in the engine, but the best they can come of with is bad gas--apparently four tanks of bad gas at three different stations!

We've been taking our cars to Airport Road Auto Center for seven years now. They have been the most competent and honest mechanics we've ever dealt with. They are courteous over the phone and in person. They give you a ride back home or to work and pick you up when it's time to get your car. We've never had a concern with unnecessary repairs. They've even gone so far as to recommend a less expensive repair. On several occasions, we've stopped by with a minor adjustment or repair needed, and they've done the job at no cost. We never think twice about taking a car to them.

They are OK. They could be a little more organized. The service is OK. It seems that every time I go in there, there is something wrong that I have to go back for. The car has sensors on it that tell me that something is wrong. I had just had the car there and later on when I got home the sensor said I had a low tire. It turned out to be the spare tire, but I think that they should have caught that.
