    Presidential Limousine
We reserved Presidential Limo for an engagement on last Saturday morning and they were nothing short of spectacular. The driver was well-groomed, arrived on time, and was extremely courteous and engaging. I would recommend this limousine service to anyone who needs to be treated with respect and professionalism, and I would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you, Sunny and Willy, for a job well done!

    Reines RV Center

Bad news first: someone in the service department neglected to tighten the axle nut on one of the trailer tires. The entire wheel and brake assembly is held onto the axle by this nut. We towed the trailer from Reines to the storage facility which is about 15 minutes away. The wheel did not fall off, thank God, and we didn't notice the problem right away.

My husband and I planned to go out in the rv for a few days during the last week of May. He stopped by the storage facility on his way home from working a half day to make sure everything was all right before we left later that afternoon. He noticed a serious problem with one of the wheels so he called Reines. He had trouble getting anyone on the phone to help him. (Everyone was at lunch, it was the week of Memorial Day, etc.) He then went to the shop in person. After talking to the service manager and other people higher up the food chain, a service tech and a higher-up met him at the storage site to see the wheel.

They discovered the potentially dangerous error and immediately set to work to fix it. Towing it for just the short distance from Reines to the storage site had caused damage. After getting the brakes, wheel, etc. off with a crowbar and a hammer, they had to go back to the shop for more parts.

So, now the good news: Reines did not attempt to avoid responsibility for the error and did not hesitate to correct their mistake. They didn't charge us for the service visit to our storage place, for the labor, or for brand new replacement parts they installed. Our trip was delayed but fortunately the campground was kind enough not to charge us for the night we had reserved but were unable to stay. And most importantly, we didn't crash.

When we first found out about all this, naturally both of us were furious because we had paid Reines a large amount of money to screw up our trailer and place us in danger. But I have to give them credit for their response to the situation, which was entirely appropriate and very rapid. There's no getting around the fact it was a dumb mistake, but dumb mistakes do sometimes happen. We were left with a good impression of Reines RV overall.

    Anytime Limousines
When inquiring with a few limo service providers for a quote, this company was quick to reply.  And, based on the information I provided they steered me to the correct vehicle for what I needed.  Dealing with them was very easy.  All agreements by phone and e-mail.  The contract was e-mailed to me, and I made payments over the phone.  Very simple, very accommodating.  As our event was a surprise for our guests, I had asked that the driver not tell my guests where they were going.  The driver called 30 minutes prior to our scheduled pick up time to say that he was in the area, and that he was available.  When I answered the door, he was very nicely dressed, and very professional in his demeanor.  He made all of us feel very important.  After dropping us off at our event, he told me where he would be and made sure that I had his cell phone number in case we needed him earlier than the scheduled pick up time.  He was there exactly when I needed him to be, and made the entire experience one that we'll never forget.  I highly recommend this company based on price, quality, service and our experience.

    All Stretched Limousine Service
The offer was to provide a five hour limo service and winery tour.  After I purchased the offer for ~$250, I called to schedule the date.  I was told that there was an additional fuel surcharge and gratuity based on the original price instead of the discounted price through Angie's List.  The fuel charge and gratuity ended up being another ~$150...needless to say, I felt this was a little bit of bait and switch since the Angie's List offer did not list the original price or state that the mandatory gratuity would be so high.  Since I had already purchased the offer, I paid the gratuity/fuel surcharge via a credit card over the phone.  At that time the woman on the phone offered to send (email) me a list of the wineries they usually toured in N. Va.  She took my payment, but I never received an email, phone call, letter, smoke signal, carrier pigeon....nothing.  Finally, a week before the scheduled event, I called back to say I never received anything and to confirm the time and location that the driver would arrive.  This time I reached a less than polite woman...she was short with me over the phone when I asked about the promised email and about confirming the locations/time, etc.  When I asked if she had my contact information, address, etc., she abruptly placed me on hold.  When she came back on the line she rattled off my information with a tone that indicated I was a bother to her and was interupting something.  On the day of the event, the driver arrived on time.  He stood by the limo and never came to my door, so I went to the street to meet him.  We exchanged niceties and discussed the wineries to attend.  He then immediately started going over the charges and explaining to me that the gratiuty that I paid him was either not all going to him or was too meager for him to live on and the way he makes his living via cash tips from riders.  I thought this was tacky and wondered what the heck the ~$150 (that I'd paid when scheduling the event) was for.  However, realizing that the driver was not the owner and was simply delivering the message and service, I did not question him about the $250 deal that already cost me $400.  We departed and the driver was very accomodating with the limo service.  He made recommendations on wineries that he could get his vehicle into and not have problems as well as recommendations from previous winery tour customers.  The driver was very polite and professional (outside of the pandering for tips) and provided us an enjoyable tour that we all enjoyed.  For these reasons, I tipped the driver $60 for his service (plus I had a lot of wine to drink and was in a generous mood) I would not use this service again simply because of the hidden costs, lack of follow-through by the schedulers, and not seeing the value of the service outweighing the cost.

    Super Shuttle
Terrible!  They not only left my wife and children waiting outside the airport at 10:00 p.m., they finally had to call a taxi over 90 minutes past their pickup time with little explaination as to what had happened.  If you are looking for relable transportation GO ELSEWHERE!

Northern Virginia Town Car & Limousine Service
I found this company after joining Angie's List and was impressed with its high ratings.  After talking with Kevin Davis about some of the amenities they could provide, I decided to hire them. He was polite and professional.  The driver arrived exactly on time and he too was very polite and professional.  The limo was well-maintained and nicely appointed.  The ride was very smooth.  They did a great job and helped to make our special evening a very memorable event.

    Classic Travel at Tackett's Mill
Called Classic Travel on Saturday at 11:00 to see if they had weekend hours (had already driven to a different agent that advertised Saturday hrs but was closed). Rochelle answered the phone, was very pleasant, said they were open until 2:00pm, asked what I was interested in and offered to do some research between customers until I arrived. My husband and I got in after 1:00. She had done research and we started working thru several options. She was extremely patient and willing to look at every option we mentioned. We were there until after closing, yet she was very understanding when I told her my husband and I would need to think about all we'd discussed. She gave me a helpful booklet for the areas in Mexico that we were considering, and gave me ways to reach her over the rest of the weekend. She continued to work with me on Sunday over the phone when we wanted to make changes on our flight plans, and when they ran into an administrative snag on Monday she tracked me down at work (a difficult task) to let me know of the problem. Later on Monday I had to work with another agent, Pam, because Rochelle had actually been doing all her work with me on her days off! Pam was fantastic too. She followed up several times as we worked through a couple other issues, and was always very pleasant. She adjusted some of the finances and enabled me to pay $1500 5 weeks later than was originally planned. From what I can tell, we've ended up with a fair rate for what looks like it will be a fantastic holiday...more to follow!
