Orthodonture reviews in Dumfries

First let me start off with the staff.
The receptionist is ok, but the assistants lack professionalism. They favor the patients who speak same language (not English) and would chat and giggle loudly whether there are others around or not.  Plus, some of the patient chairs are not separated so you get to hear all that. It is quite annoying; along with other noises you hear, because I knew those foreign conversations are really just chats. I do not speak that language fluently, but I know enough that they are not translating about treatment procedure or insurance payments. This is not some back-alley shop. This is America, and this place gets patients with many different languages and cultures. Unless there is a need for interpretation, it is unfair and rude to other patients.  Also, one of those assistant is quite a problem. She has been rude to me and I complained about her in the past, but nothing was fixed. She still works there, but she either hides in the back room when I go there or she looks away, without saying a single greeting.  In addition not only she's been rude to me, but that same assistant had caused trouble in the office among other employees. Back in 2012, she had made the receptionist cry during business hours! I heard and saw with my own eyes and ears- why is she still there?
Now let me talk about the doctor.
eadyDr. Djeu, as some of the viewers might know, has been nominated as one of the best in the area at least a couple of times. I've always thought his chair side was pretty good to match. However, my treatment wasn't very satisfactory. I had invisalign for almost 2 years and just finished my treatment last week. Sadly I had one tooth that just didn't turn the way it should have. I do understand that every patient has a different case, so there is no guarantee on 100% fixes on the situation, but I also wanted to hear his opinion. When I went in for my very last appointment and pointed that out, he looked and said 'Oh, that tooth is just too stubborn.' and then he just buffed my teeth and called it an end! And it didn't just end there; as part of the treatment, the invisalign company gives you the final retainer set. But to my surprise they were not at the office. The doctor murmured something like, 'Oh, they don't automatically ship these.'  Well, this was my last visit to the office, and he did not make sure the company to ship my retainers ahead of time. He didn't even apologize! Then again, since invisalign wasn't able to fix that one tooth, I was wondering about getting Hawley retainers (retainers with plastic and metal wires) to push that one tooth little more, but he said it still will not fix it all the way, and he was going to charge me. Now today is September 27th, and my retainer came in mail yesterday. UNACCEPTABLE. Like I mentioned above, this was supposed to be done and ready when I went in on August.
I?ve seen at that very office, one patient had her teeth and bite correction shifted right away as soon as the braces were off and he put braces back on her to fix it, at no extra charge. Now here I am, sitting at the office at my last treatment without my original retainers, and he was going to charge me if I was going to have something else made. I really wish I could end it here but there is more! They take your mouth photos and x-rays at the beginning and end of the treatment. It shows how much the patient's case improved over time, as well as serving as a record so the patient can't come back and complain about anything. Well, I had the photos and x-ray done when I started almost 2 years ago, but on this last day, they didn't bother doing that. Really, how careless can they be? Not just the doctor but none of the employees noticed that?
So overall I was very upset, but at that point I decided to just leave; I am done with this place. I am not coming back here ever again and I am not going to recommend this place to anyone. His name being on magazine doesn't mean anything.
Also I'd like to tell everyone who has/whose kids had braces before- ANY orthodontist can fix kids' teeth and bite problems to a point, because their bones are flexible. I am an adult who did not have such flexibility, and he did not put in extra effort to fix that.

He is awesome! He is very professional and his staff is great. I've been using him for almost a year now. I've had two bridges done over that time period and he has done a really good job. He takes pictures of your teeth and he tells you a treatment plan for your teeth. He gives you options and is receptive about what goals you have with your teeth. He develops a spending plan to address any teeth issues so that the cost can be spread out over time. He also allows you to watch Netflix or movies while work is being done. His assistants are real nice and they made my mother feel comfortable when I took her there.
