AWillis Builders IncWe asked Willis Builders to remodel our two bathrooms after they did a great job helping deal with water intrusion (upgrading to wider gutters, rearranging downspouts, installing a sump pump). Both jobs were overseen by Leo, who did great work and was extremely helpful when we discovered we'd forgotten something or didn't have enough of XYZ because the pandemic slowed shipping down. I would gladly hire them again!- Nathaniel R.

AKitchen SaverFantastic. We are a big fan of these guys, especially Dave D. who did the coordinating on the ground. He made sure all the workers completed their jobs on time. He answered our many, many questions. They finished earlier than planned and it is beautiful. Highly recommended!!- Mark G.

AKitchen SaverEdgar Machado of Kitchen Savers is the consummate professional. It was immediately clear that he was a highly skilled craftsman, and the results show it. He executed the job on schedule and was considerate of our time and space. In addition, he resolved several minor complications, such as fittings with the countertops and some legacy trim work. In summary, we would work with Edgar again without question. We recommend him to anyone.- Michael F.

AKitchen SaverWe hired Kitchen Savers to help remodel our kitchen. After a few delays due to COVID-19, work got under way June 1st. Hasan the installer was awesome. He spent 5 days in a row with us doing demolition, resurfacing the cabinets, installing the new oven/microwave, crown molding, etc. Kitchen Savers was very professional and nicely orchestrated their subcontractors (Rock Tops for the countertops, electrician for the under cabinet lighting, plumber to install the sink and garbage disposal, etc.). We are very pleased with the workmanship and the final outcome. Even when we had an issue with one of the cabinet doors a few weeks later, Kitchen Savers sent out a workman to rehang the door with a double hinge and solved the issue free of charge. The only negative comment is that while Kitchen Savers works with subcontractors for certain things (i.e. countertops, etc.), that is where things end. So you have new cabinets and new countertops, but no backsplash. That's kind of crazy. If you want a backsplash or wall tile between the countertops and cabinets, you are on your own to fine another contractor. Likewise for flooring. This caused some issues as our floor contractor wanted to demo the floor before the cabinet work was done and we had to do a bit of juggling. It would have been nice to have one main contractor who organized and scheduled all the subs.- Daniel N.

AJW Home ImprovementIt went well. Happy with overall results, although the estimated time frame ended up getting extended due to needing to do extra work that was discovered as necessary mid-job. Scheduling was great, Alberto and Javier were great and very professional. Everyone involved was timely, responsive, and friendly.- Jeremy F.

AMarks-Woods Construction Services, LLCMarks-Woods easily ranks number one among the contractors we have worked with over the years. Our project was executed within budget and beyond our expectations with a focus on process, quality and customer satisfaction, from start to finish, from the most prominent feature to the smallest detail. They are committed to a job well done and every last member of their team was a delight to work with. It's such a pleasure to work with good people who do good work, who who remain flexible when the unexpected happens, who correct problems without balking when they inevitably occur, and who maintain a sense of humor throughout. Marks-Woods has earned our very highest recommendation.- Matthew R.

ARIBA Construction LLCWe have used RIBA Construction for several projects now, and each time the experience is fantastic from start to finish. From the very beginning of every project, Richard and his entire team are clear about the process and what it will entail. Communication is grade A, as he is interested in helping you make your vision come to life. I can’t speak enough about the knowledge that he has in the field and his attention to detail. He not only knows the best products on the market, but he has a great eye for what looks good and values your input while making the best choice for your needs/wants, style and budget. He helped us decide paint colors for each of the bathrooms that we remodeled, helped us with the kind of marble tiles that would best fit the design of one of the bathrooms, and also suggested a great nontransparent type of window pane for the bathroom in the front of the house to make sure it can’t be seen into. Richard is very hands-on and isn’t just a name somewhere in an office. He’s always just a phone call away, and makes it a point to check in on-site to ensure that everything is running smoothly, because he is genuinely interested in the work that he does, always providing the best possible service & quality. The team leads are great at communicating as well, and they make sure that any unexpected issues (if any) can be mitigated quickly and efficiently. The end result always turns out better than expected. We’re very happy with RIBA’s services, and highly recommend using them for your construction and remodeling needs. We’ve had an incredible experience each time and will certainly be using them for any future projects.- Tamaruth O.

AF.H. Furr Plumbing Heating AC & ElectricalThey did an exceptional job! Everything looks great! I described myself to Bob Michaud (the plumbing supervisor) as probably the client from ****. I contacted him about little things a lot, but he handled it all professionally and met all my expectations and beyond. There was a small snafu when a few days after they finished the supply line to the toilet began to leak and it caused some damage... but FH Furr was on top of it! They got their restoration folks out there and took care of it. Stuff happens and sometimes things go wrong, but the true display of professionalism and character is when something does go wrong... how does the company handle it. FH Furr handled it the right way... and I appreciate their work and would hire them again!- Thomas C.

FCraft began my 3 week bathroom remodel in January 2020. Now, 8 months later, the work is still not complete. Working with Craft has been an absolute nightmare. Craft scratched my new bathtub, installed my shower doors backwards and at different heights so the doors would not close, four of the faucets they installed leaked, and the marble shower floor had so many cracks and scratches it had to be totally replaced. To make matters worse, Craft initially denied there was a problem and Jose Arias, the foreman told me that "marble is a soft stone and you have to expect scratches and cracks after it is installed." Jose then threatened not to make the necessary repairs unless I paid him an additional $1,500. Next, Craft stained my bathroom floor tiles with sealant and, after four attempts they have been unable to remove the stains. In addition, the grout on the floor and in the corners of the shower walls have a growing number of cracks. Two independent contractors have evaluated the issues with the floor and shower walls. Both concluded that Craft improperly installed the floor and recommended it be replaced. The contractors also explained that Craft had improperly used grout in the corners of the shower, rather than flexible caulking which is the industry standard. Frank Aksoy, Craft's project manager has told me that "the small spots do not prevent you from using your bathroom" and he is done making any additional repairs. After all of the issues I have had with Craft, I wondered why Craft appeared to receive so many positive reviews online. That question was answered when I saw that Frank Aksoy had been writing glowing reviews for Craft on both Google and Houzz. This is obviously dishonest and enethical, but based on my experience it is consistent with the way Craft conducts business.

D"Too good to be truth" can be applied to this company. They don't have their own contractors, they hire the contractors outside. The project started in April and finished in September because there are many issues that the contactor create during the work. And project halted during remodeling that made project took 5 months to finish. In April 2018 I hired them, while the job just started a few days, they stopped working without let me know the reason why until I called the company, and Dwan who is husband of Sarah told me that contactors are on vacation for a week. The project halt for a week. All works they do go with another new issue like if they do this there will be another new issues For example, Scratched on hardwood floor, install improper dead bolt, broken wall tile. Water drops down under cabinet from between a sink and countertop because of bad seal. After project finished I called them come to fix and left reviews online, Sarah called me with extremely angry and asked me to pull out all comments. If I leave negative comment online that means I terminate the work with the Fineline Kitchen so they don't come to fix the problems. She said that she cares about the company. I pulled out negatives comments,. Sarah told me that the company will send out good contractors, and it is not a service call. She kept saying many times that the company is not a service all, for the future if I have a problem, I have to call the service company NOT her company. It took more than 6 months for the company send someone. Around December 2019 they to fix the issues. After contractors replaced a broken wall tile, I didn't check the outlet because there is an outlet on a broken tile. Until a few months ago, I need to use the outlet and found down the outlet has no electric. I don't recommend to hire this company!

AIt was awesome. We completely moved our kitchen from the front of the house to the back of the house. This involved tearing down 2 walls, one of which was a load-bearing wall, and running all new plumbing and electric. We also had to remove a huge window and install a smaller one to make room for cabinets and counter space. In addition, we removed a wall separating our dining room and living room to make one larger space and we installed new flooring throughout the entire first floor of our house. This was a huge project and we knew it was going to be expensive, but Art and his team made us feel comfortable and truly made us feel like we were getting our money's worth. I cannot recommend Art enough. You will not be disappointed.

AWe're in process of getting bids on a deck/exterior office space remodel. They were very responsive to our initial request, and we talked to one of the owners of the company via phone and in person within 7 days of our outreach. The project is probably too small for their level of services, but we will definitely consider using them for a future, more complex interior home renovation. They were very nice and giving of their time and expertise, and their build process seems very professional and polished. We had an excellent experience with them.

FWe were surprised at how we were treated since they have positive reviews and we also had our realtor mention them for kitchen renovations. We started out fine however we were not living in our new home as they started work on our kitchen. We needed asbestos removal and each company that they connected us to, either didn’t get back to us, or weren’t able to provide basic things like a break down of their charges which were very high. When we moved into our home with the work promised to be done in a week or two, we found that the workers had left bottles of empty alcohol bottles and other items indicating substances being used while on the job. We also saw the workers sometimes coming out of parts of the house that they had no reason to be in. There were times when the contractor said he would make it up on the weekend, however then said that his “car broke down” on several weekends and just didn’t show up. We were connected to an electrician that didn’t follow through on getting permits, did something that made our well system lose power and insisted it wasn’t him. We had to hire a second opinion who hooked up our system to another power source to shower it was in fact an electrical problem. He also showed up at random times even when asked to coordinate with us since we were not in the home at the time. In general, our floor had to be redone 3 times because of how poorly they installed the floors and obvious changes in the floor plan that didn’t match the rest of our house. We had screws installed in shelves and in the floor that were all different sizes and obviously different colors and looked terrible. Our shelves were installed and are not level. You don’t need an actual level to tell, you can tell just by looking at them. We had our counters also reinstalled as they had big gaps between the marble counter and the wall that again looked terrible. Our “project manager” did not stay while the workers were there. He would show up in the morning and then tell the workers what to do. He would then agree that the quality was poor afterwards however then just re tell them what to do without doing anything differently. We asked for another contractor to do the floor the third time and the one redeeming part of this was that they were Excellent! However that was one positive experience in the midst of feeling like we were not treated like people, every time we had a legitimate concern, it was dismissed or we would receive an email where they would try to tell us it was something we were doing wrong. Towards the end, the project manager just stated he had other jobs to do. He then got to a point he said he wouldn’t work with us any more and then gave us the name of a “manager”. We were told we can only email in communications with him and he has never come to see our kitchen. We have offered several times to show that we were not trying to give them a hard time, we had legitimate concerns. So now a YEAR later, we are still talking to them as they say they have warranties on all their products to keep customers happy. Even though we are still within warranty, we were told that they can no longer help us and we need to talk directly to their supplier. Within ONE week, our pantry shelves and cabinet shelves started to fall apart so we have been going back and forth since that time! We have asked for replacements and have either gotten broken shelves upon arrival, or the completely wrong sizes even though we have given measurements. They no longer want to communicate with us even through email and are clearly happy that they just got their money. All around, we had an AWFUL experience. We were by no means expecting perfection; however we were asking to not have a broken and crooked kitchen as our “new kitchen”. We also thought they would at least be understanding instead of saying that their policy is to ONLY communicate through email. This confused us since they were managing our kitchen which we didn’t think would be so remotely. All in all, we felt let down.

ACRG Remodeling did an awesome job in the total gutting of our kitchen and the addition of a powder room in our home. We have an older 1920’s vintage home and there were a lot of unexpected surprises in terms of defects and hinderances that cropped up along the way. Cornelio took these on admirably as a challenge, always ensuring that quality remains the main factor. The end result included a beautifully designed kitchen with a pass-through to the dining room, new wood floor, installation of new appliances, tiling and lighting. We are grateful to Cornelio and recommend he and his company to those who may be considering remodeling work.
