Called on Thursday evening and was offered an appointment for the very next day. I opted for Saturday instead, (which was terrific). Sam called within the 11am-1pm window I was given to let me know his approximate arrival time, and total work time was a little over 1.5 hours. Sam had a couple of different priced options for the replacement unit on hand, and offered his price for installation if I chose to buy a unit elsewhere. I went with the belt drive 3/4HP Chamberlain B750 with WiFi option, and must say I never realized garage motors could be so quiet... Anyway Sam replaced the one motor, replaced a few rollers, tuned the tracks, installed the keypads, and walked me through the setup of the remotes, the keypads, and the how to set up the WiFi. I also asked for a tune up of my other door that had already been replaced a few years earlier. And he did so at a reduced price. Sam was great. He was professional, informative, and efficient. He was up front with his pricing and didnt pressure me into buying anything. After a quick search of the units he had on hand, I felt confident that i was getting a very fair price and that the unit had the warranty (3yrs motor, 1yr installation) and the features I was interested in - specifically myQ compatibility (I read an article about Amazon delivery recently that had me curious). I was extremely pleased with the service and products I received, and will absolutely be calling Advanced Garage for any future needs.

    JP Companies Inc
Arrived promptly and did the work in one day, faster than expected. Within a couple of weeks noted some chipping and pitting. JP Companies repaired by patching areas where concrete hand crumbled and pitted. They stated to give it time to finish curing that if more problems occurred not to worry, 2 years of warranty were left. The next spring (2018) more problems were evident and were reported to JP Companies. They included pitting, crumbling, and cracks. Was informed that the cracks in the joints were normal. While I accepted that explanation I still had issues with the driveway, including holes in the surface where the top layer had crumbled and cracks extending from the joints that crumbling apart as well. Was further told that the other problems would be addressed after considering options with "business partner". Was assured not to worry since another year was left on the warranty. Was eventually told that they would "repair" the problems, but would cover the entire driveway so that there was no discoloration on driveway. The repair was done in November 2018 using a resurfacing product called ARDEX-CD. After leaving the product to dry over a week as per their instructions, began using the driveway again. It rained in the next few days and the product softened and started getting grooves in it from the vehicle tires. Now there are permanent tire grooves in the driveway. What's more, each time it rains, more tire groves are being made in the driveway surface. When I complained about this issue, I was informed that this was not under warranty. So, essentially by allowing the company to repair the problems (holes and crumbling sections) in the concrete driveway surface, the original warranty was voided. Furthermore, they will not take any corrective actions due to the defects in the repairs they made that voided the warranty. They are not willing to do anything further to help with the problems left with the final product on the driveway. When attempting to negotiate some sort of resolution, was told they have done all they can and have done more than was required under the contract, but they only made two repairs, one within weeks of the original install and one a year later. That's all they can do with a two year warranty? I just want it known that BUYER BEWARE...The contractor will void its own warranty by doing repairs to defects. I noted in the contract that cracks in the joints and "patches" are not warranted, but keep in mind this was not a patch of spots on the driveway, they did a complete resurface and now are not willing to take any action to help with new problems with the resurfaced driveway. They claim they have been accommodating and that the contract clearly states whats covered, but this is deceptive if they do a warranty repair that does not provide a satisfactory end product.

    Local Garage Doors LLC
We originally only wanted a keypad installed and new remotes, but our opener was too old to communicate with. We opted for a new door opener (with remote, keypad and phone app) and also had the door serviced. Sean was very prompt courteous and professional. Everything is working great! We will be hiring again.

We were extremely happy with Door Doctor. They were able to show up the same day we called for service. George was our technician, and he immediately diagnosed what was wrong, quickly repaired it, and did some health checks and routine maintenance while there.

    Rankin Landscaping, Inc.
I've used Rankin a number of times, and this job was no different in quality service and fair pricing. We've been working on getting our erosion issues under control, as we purchased a house on a fairly steep hill and water rushes the property during a rain. We called Rankin and had them come out for a visit to design stone dry creek beds and erosion stops behind retaining walls and along the driveway to re-direct water and stop erosion along concrete driveways and sidewalks, retaining walls, and various slopes around the property. As always, they did a great job. And, I know this was a tough job, because they had to both hand carry and use wheel barrows to move many tons of stone down a hill as the slope was far too challenging for heavy equipment. A lot of hard work. Of course, the compliments from neighbors were the icing on the cake...

    Rankin Landscaping, Inc.
The project went extremely well. The French Drain was roughly 75 feet - pretty long for a drain, but our house required substantial work to get erosion under control. I had called Rankin to find out if they could do the work, and they seemed excited about having the opportunity. So, we scheduled a time for them to come out and see the landscape, provide recommendations and a proposal, and make a decision. The two owners (Terry and Brett) stopped by and looked at the area in question, and we discussed various options for installation of the drain, rerouting of house gutter downspouts, and future efforts that may help with erosion. I received the quote shortly thereafter, and found it fair. We decided to move forward. It only took a day, but they did a tremendous amount of work - digging behind a 75-foot 6"x6" wood retaining wall to a depth at roughly 4 feet at the deepest point. The used landscape fabric and gravel to fill the trench to ensure consistent and even flow of water away from the wall and the property to a more acceptable area. As you can tell, our house is on a big hill, and having this work done was a great help in managing rainwater and drainage away from areas of the property that could compromise the structural integrity of our house or the landscape. We still have a lot of work to do, but I'll definitely call these guys again.

    Abby Construction Co Inc
We purchased a home in 1994 that had a slightly sagging 8 X 14' concrete porch extension. Through the years, this had settled to the point of twisting the overhanging roof structure. After calling three different contractors on Angie's List, I received three different and confusing recommendations. Contacting the county for advice, they recommended hiring an engineer. I did that, and he recommended helical piers be used and further recommended Abby Construction Company in Fredericksburg, VA. I contacted them, and the president of the company, Mike Huie visited my home. I liked him immediately! He looked at the porch and confirmed that helical piers would be the best solution. Although the price was higher than my highest previous estimate, it was the only proven solution that would fix the problem. The math, science, and engineering spoke for itself and would prove to be the best option. Once the county permits were completed, Abby Construction began work. They removed the concrete porch and inspected the footers. The footers were in good shape, but the underlying soil was basically "fill." They ended up having to go down 26' before hitting the resistance necessary to carry the overhead load of the concrete porch and the overhanging roof structure. Abby Construction installed three piers, carefully jacked the porch footer into position to match the builder installed porch footer, installed necessary reinforcing bars, built the forms, and poured a tremendous looking new porch extension. It looks great! I am so pleased that we had hired Abby Construction Company to provide their solution. If I had hired anyone else, their solution would NOT have fixed the settling concrete, and the porch would eventually settle again. This will be a permanent solution to my problem. If I had to do this kind of project again, I would call Abby Construction Company to do the work.

What stood out most was she very professional and when you are trying to organize sometimes that can be like they are into your intimate space in your closet and your learning space and she was very professional. She wasn't judgmental because you have lot of things every where she did made me feel very productive and I didn't feel like she was judging like oh my god this is so messy or whatever so. I am continue to use them with the fix bed that she gave during the time we were organizing. I think considering what she did cost was good. I would definitely use her again.
