    Professional Painting LLC
Extremely well! All work was done carefully and professionally. Great team who worked diligently and neatly. Bryan and his team are detailed people. They evaluate and check over their work. Very friendly and very knowledgeable team. They are always on time and easy to work with always. An additional item came up for repair that was not on the list, and they were able to take care of it also. Amazing team. I highly recommend them. We have used this company before, and will in the future.

Distinctive Deck Designs by Mark Shriner
We received estimates from four companies that were highly rated on Angie's List and settled on Mark Shriner. We selected him because he was a local business, he had great references, and he had an incredible reputation, both on Angie's List and on "Best of the Best Television." We recommend visiting Mark's website at [*** Link removed ***] Mark arrived one Saturday morning and listened to our desires to replace our old deck and replace it with a Trex deck that would support a hot tub. Within days, Mark provided us with a DETAILED, line by line estimate. (Mark was the only one that provided this.) We received additional estimates and decided on Mark's company. We were originally scheduled for the March 2018 time frame, as his crews had previously scheduled work. In Jan 2018, Mark called, stating that he could start early because jobs ahead of us were delayed because or homeowner association issues. He stated that he could start "next week" if we had all our property owner's association clearances completed. We did! Mark's crew, led by David, took one day for demolition of the old deck, one day for framing and county inspections, and three days for laying the deck, installing the posts/rails/lights. David and his crew cleaned up the area each day, had their materials organized with minimal impact to the yard, and were very considerate to the other workmen that were on site, but outside of their contract; i.e., the crew that delivered a new hot tub and to our electrician who wired the hot tub. All county inspections went through without any issues. After the deck was completed, we had a few questions for Mark, and he answered all of them promptly--within hours. We look forward to spending many evenings on our new deck, knowing it was built right and passes all county inspections. We will hire Distinctive Deck Designs by Mark Shriner, to do other work with a fire pit and outdoor kitchen.

We've been extremely satisfied with all of the work Alex has done for us. He's an extremely hard worker, oftentimes working 10-11 hour days to get the job done. He's very professional and his work is of high quality. When we caught a mistake in our fence, he quickly came out to our property to fix it. His costs are extremely reasonable. We'd highly recommend Alex for any work you need complete!

    Hal Co Fence and Deck
Chuck Morris, the estimator for Hal Co took the measurements for our deck incorrectly and it ended up being a foot short, with railing posts sticking out in the middle of the large window and blocking the view to the backyard, which I specifically asked him to be mindful of, and he said he's been doing this for decades an no one wants or should have the deck rails in the middle of the window for aesthetic as well as safety reasons- common sense I thought, who would purposely ask to construct something to block the window? Well, the deck did end in the middle of the window, which Chuck was notified of at the beginning of the construction because the crew (sub-contractors by the way) told Chuck that his measurements were wrong (according to the crew it wasn't the first time apparently). Chuck later came out to see it for himself, but did not stop them from continuing. After it was completed, I asked him to come out again to see it with me, and told him that was exactly what I said I didn't want, to which he replied, "I know". He added, "yea that's done not right, but I thought I measured it out to the wall between the windows". I also asked him if HE would want a deck that's blocking the view of a window at his own home, and he said "NO I wouldn't". If you don't want it in your own home, why would a paying customer want that? Chuck was apologetic and admitted that his measurements were incorrect, but blamed his crew for continuing, even though they were the ones who told Chuck it wasn't going to look right and he was right there to do something about it early on. Few days later, however, Chuck's attitude changed completely, when the owner David Sullivan was involved. Chuck blamed ME for not checking his measurements! and acted as if our conversation right after the construction never even took place. When I demanded Chuck to own up to his mistake and fix the deck, he said I needed to pay additional $1100. Of course, I had offered to pay for the extra cost that may have incurred for the additional foot, but why should I pay for extra labor for pretty much re-doing the deck because the "estimator" with decades of experiences didn't know how to take correct measurements? Isn't that his job? something he says he does on a daily basis? He doesn't go to the county to get the permit, he doesn't even show up during the construction, so I presume since his title is "estimator" he knows how to measure things correctly and estimate accordingly. And for him to blame the customer for not doing his job for him is just absurd and unprofessional. Was I supposed to undermine his ability to do his job to use a measuring tape properly and should've taken another look just in case? Why didn't he just ask me to measure it myself and email them to him? Ridiculous excuses. I have reached out to the owner as well but have not heard from him either in 3 weeks. As another review stated here, this company has no courtesy or respect for other people's time. They don't return your call or respond to emails. Chuck Morris blamed his phone, computer, internet connection and even my phone when questioned why he's not responding to text/voicemails in a timely manner. We still have not used this deck (no furniture or grill) because we don't know if (or when) Hal Co's owner would take responsibility for his employee's mistake and come to the right decision and do the ethical thing by fixing this deck. But as of today, they decided to do the worst thing, by simply avoiding my request. My neighbors have since then gone to another company because of the way Hal Co handled this situation and our HOA will not recommend this company to our community as well. Hal Co has shown no consideration or respect for my time or money whatsoever. There is no customer service, no communication and definitely no commitment or workmanship with this company.

    EA Roofing & Siding LLC
The repair work performed was outstanding! The team was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process. I was most impressed with their attention to detail, expertise, and quality of work. EA Roofing and Siding LLC kept me properly informed as they completed each phase of the job. All work was done in a timely manner--on target! In addition, I received prompt and courtesy phone calls with opportunities to discuss material grades and color matching. This is a First Class company and thus I give them my highest seal of approval for a job well done!!!

    RESURRECTION BUILDERS
I eventually received a call back from all five companies and Resurrection Builder was the only one willing to come out to give an estimate for the repair. All the other companies told me they were only doing new builds and not interested in doing repairs. Ryan asked I send him some photos to give him a better idea of what I was talking about, which I did, and he came out the next day to look for himself. Now, Im a pretty handy guy and know my way around construction, but this was a little much for my one man shop. Ryan told me to give him a couple of days for an estimate; I was figuring it would be about $5,000. The next day he sent me an e-mail with his estimate, which was just under the $5K I was anticipating. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his responsiveness and risked not having other estimates based on the reliability I had seen thus far (and it was proving difficult to get other estimates). He gave me a 5% discount for being an Angies List member and we agreed on a start date. The start date had to be pushed a few times based on weather, totally understandable. Ryan kept me informed the entire time and I never had to guess if he as coming or not. When the weather cleared I was traveling for work. No problem, Ryan and his crew went to work and completed the entire project in one day, he had planned for two. He sent me photos of the work and it looked excellent. I came home to take a closer look and the workmanship was spot on. We had dinner in the gazebo two nights ago, and I didnt have to worry about the thing collapsing. Ryan and Resurrection Builders will be my first, and likely only, call when I need something done. His professionalism, integrity, customer service, communication, and reliability, were all way above par. I am exceptionally happy with the work they did and the manner in which they did it. I have a few other renovation projects that I dont have the time or the tools for and will definitely be calling Resurrection Builders. I highly recommend you contact them.

    ProDeck Construction LLC
I do not have one single complaint about this company. Everything they promised, they came through with. About six deliveries of supplies were delivered neatly. They were all used quickly and replaced with new supplies. They never left a mess. The work was completed on time and the cost was what I agreed to. I added a few work items. Jason was the sales person that I signed the initial contract with. I had his cell phone # and if I had a question or wanted something I called him and he always answered. Roberto was the lead for construction and was a very friendly, hardworking and knowledgeable person. I would definitely call them again. Thank you ProDeck!!

    Consumer Construction Inc
Bottom Line Up Front: I could not be more pleased with the results of the work performed by Consumer Construction, Inc. (CCI). It is EXCEPTIONAL in every way. The sales rep (Mark) and the work crew, (Patrick and Kendall) were hard working and professional in every way. They were polite, they worked hard, they answered my many questions, and they were highly trustworthy to do the best job they could perform. If I had to leave a voice mail or email, it was returned promptly. We purchased our home in 1994 and noticed that a previous-homeowner installed concrete porch extension had settled a bit. Over the last 22 years, it has continued to settle to the point that the overhanging porch had twisted. We had the concrete porch demolished and replaced using helical piers (another company) and hired CCI to reset the porch. We previously hired them to do other repairs and was quite pleased with them. After a series of scheduling changes due to weather, CCI started work. The pre-painted all materials because of the colder temperatures and came ready to work! They jacked up the porch to level by using screw jacks, and replaced the columns with colonial PVC columns that were steel lined. Once the porch roof was reset, they removed the porch ceiling and tied the rafters back to the home with A34 joist hangers. They then added needed insulation. They used stiff foam board insulation, custom cutting each panel to fit between each set of rafters, and also fit small pieces underneath and adjacent to the 2 X 6 rafters. Once this was done, they allowed me time to install a crawl space catwalk and then replaced the porch ceiling with 1/4" plywood that was also PVC lined. Once the ceiling was placed, they installed a new porch rail system. I had some questions for them, and they made some additional recommendations to the work, such as footers for the columns. This recommendation were the details that the porch needed to really look first rate. They came back the next day (with warmer temperatures) to touch up the painted area, and ended up painting the entire project again, to ensure uniform coverage. They also replaced the trim boards around our garage door bays with PVC, making them look brand new. Even the extra details of matching the caulking to the aluminum siding was a nice and professional touch. We are pleased in every way, with the efforts of Consumer Construction Inc. I would recommend them for work in the Northern Virginia area and WILL certainly hire them again to do work that is outside my skill level. We made a great choice!

    Summit Environmental Solutions Inc
Since they installed the barrier system, I have not had any problems with groundhogs since. The groundhogs have come back once and tried to dig under the house again, but they were unsuccessful due to the barrier installed by Summit. I was well-satisfied with their work.
