    Springbrook Appliance LLC
Yesterday, my wife informed me that the clothes dryer wasn't getting warm, although the controls worked and it tumbled the clothes. I immediately suspected the heating element and searched Angie's List for an appropriate repairman. Jameson the owner of Springbrook Appliance Repair called me within 15 minutes. After discussing the problem with him, he confirmed that the problem was probably the heating element or the overtemperature thermostat. We made an appointment for this afternoon Jameson arrived exactly on time and quickly confirmed the heating element was bad. He disassembled the dryer rapidly and replaced the heating element While he had it apart, he used his industrial vacuum to thoroughly clean the interior of the dryer cabinet. Jameson is a skilled appliance repairman who charges a reasonable price. After discussing his work and other appliance problems I have had in the past, I believe that he is fully capable of repairing any laundry or kitchen appliance. I have added his phone number to my address book as a must call number for all future appliance repairs. I would highly recommend this company for any and all repairs. I live in an over-55 community and have listed Springbrook in our online contractor recommendation sections.

    Appliance Geek Inc
I understand why Appliance Geek receives so many "A" ratings. He was prompt to respond to my phone calls, arrived within the time window, repaired my washing machine and fixed an issued created by another "repair" company within 30 minutes. Received a discount on the cost as the job was minor (compared to other company who said it would take all day). He was friendly and pleasant. Would use again and recommend to others.

    We Fix Appliances
DO NOT contact this company or if the company is directed to you by Angie's List (what happened to me). The repair person arrived in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. Should have been my first clue there was something wrong. Then the problem changed several times. Tried to remove the back of the washing machine and complained it would be an all day job. I ask him to leave. My guess, needed a quick $60.00. I contacted another company who repaired the washing machine in less than 30 minutes. Will be giving the company an "A" review.

    All City Appliance Repair Inc
First, let me start off by saying I DID NOT WANT TO USE THIS VENDOR! My warranty company told me that I HAD to use them, since I put in a service request online and it could not be changed. Once the contractor arrived at my home with his assistant, the day after the refrigerator stopped cooling, he started pulling the trays, out of the freezer door and begin working internally on the unit. I was home the entire time of service. Once he stated that he was done with the refrigerator, he stated that he was just going to turn it up as high as possible, until the temp came back up within 24 hours. At that time, I asked him was water dispenser and icemaker going to start working? (because at that point, the water dispenser wasn't working when I tested it.) He then stated, "No, you will need to buy a new filter to get that to work...) What?? I have never had to do that, and it's ALWAYS worked! He was about to start gathering his things to leave, when I also told him that he needed to repair the microwave and oven as well. (since this would be one appliance service call.) He was frustrated, but changed the light only on my microwave, and bulb in the oven (which he told he that I must have "broken" because of the way it was sitting in the compartment. What?? I asked him at that time, how can I break something that's in the rear of the gas oven, in a enclosed designated area? Above all, how can you say anyone BROKE it?? After he stated that he was done with everything, he asked me to look for an email from the warranty company BEFORE he leaves - I needed to respond to it. I wasn't sure what he was referring to, so once we waited another 10 minutes or so (yes he waited standing next to me) I got an email from the warranty company to rate his service - he was waiting for me to rate him BEFORE he left!!!! The next morning my refrigerator was freezing - right down to the crisper sections, so I had to throw all of the items that were in there (and since MARCH 1) away! The entire refrigerator is like one big freezer. I immediately called the contractor and told him what was going on, and he reluctantly stated that he would come back out - oh, and stood by the water filter/icemaker still weren't working due to the filters after the second visit, leaving dirt on my floor, rugs disorganized and drinking bottles in my sink! Who does this type of work?? Long story shortened - I called the warranty company to complain and they sent a second opinion vendor to follow-up. Once he arrived, he called me at work to tell me that my "baffle" was missing, so that's why the air was going into the refrigerated section of my refrigerator, as well as why my water lines were frozen! (hence no water or icemaker) The warranty company then returned a call to the All City Repair, who they then stated that it wasn't there when they were they too and also stated that I must have removed it!!! I guess they just forgot to put it on their report, as well as tell me when they were at my house!! How would I know to remove something like this from wherever it was located in my refrigerator? It's insulting to me as a customer. If they broke it or removed it, they should have just stated it. The 2nd vendor told me immediately that it was missing and now the warranty company is denying my claim to fix or replace my refrigerator!! They are actually believing this particular contractor, with poor ratings, over me as a long-term customer! This is absolutely horrendous...I am still without a refrigerator and will be seeking legal advice on this matter.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Call Sears after trying to get an LG authorized repair person. The one LG rep I found wanted $150 just to show up. Call Sears they want $99 just to show up. Sears Repairman came, found that plastic ice dispenser button assembly (flapper plate that you push to get ice) was broken. Options were whole new ice/water dispenser $479.00 or he could order just the flapper plate (a $14 part) which cost $134 for the part and service call. He also tried to sell me an appliance service warranty for all kitchen appliances for $49/month. I just bought the part and will install it myself! So in the long run Sears was the least expensive but none are inexpensive. Would I hire again, my advice is shop around. Check Angies List for top rated. Look for a You Tube video to see if you can DIY first, if not be prepared to pay someone to fix it.

    A-Nova Appliance Factory Authorized Service
17 month old GE dryer would not start. Called Gary at NOVA Appliance Repair. He came the same day in the evening, diagnosed a bad thermal fuse and replaced it. He also recommended that we have the dryer vent lined cleaned because it was likely clogged which caused the thermal fuse to blow. I had a cleaning done and it was clogged. Excellent and quick service. Would highly recommend.

    Expert Appliance Services
This company was very prompt in their response, and were able to send out a technician the same day. Sam was very honest, and told me the compressor wasn't working (running very hot), and he wasn't sure if he could fix it. He thought it might be a switch on the compressor, and replaced it. He told me that if the compressor itself was bad, I would need to replace the refrigerator. He told me to check the refrigerator in 3-4 hours to see if it was working. Unfortunately it wasn't. He came back to check it again--it still wasn't working--not the fault of the repair. It was determined that the compressor was bad. I was impressed that he refunded the money for the original repair, and only charged me for the service call. I would definitely hire this company again, based on their prompt response, willingness to follow up, and their integrity.

    DMV Appliance Repair Services LLC
The gentleman arrived on time, evaluated the dryer, explained what needed to be repaired, had the parts needed on hand and proceeded to repair the dryer. He was done in under an hour, fair price with a discount as a repeat customer (he repaired our washer in December), very professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend their services.

    DMV Appliance Repair Services LLC
Technician was very thorough, explained the cause of the problem, showed us the tear, and explained the repair needed. Part was ordered and he returned the next business day and completed the repair in a timely manner. He was even kind enough to allow my husband to observe him while he worked explaining what he was doing. We are very happy and satisfied with the service we received from the company and our technician Shan who was courteous to us and our home.
