    Wheaton Door & Window Company
We were promised a "rushed install" by our account rep. Justin Carpenter, which should of happen within a two week period but we heard nothing for two weeks instead. I had to contact their office in Maryland to find out what was happening and they seemed confused. I scheduled the install but experienced a no show and had to reschedule to have them come out on November 11th, 2014. At this time, we had already had, for a week, our new roofing materials sitting in our yard being rained on and open to anyone who wanted to help themselves to our boxed up shingles, etc. They were late, not arriving to our Home until the afternoon which only allowed enough day light for them to do a quick install and leave. When they were done it was pitch black and just starting to pack up. They left our lawn littered with nails and roofing materials and did not really clean up. I called Wheaton and I told them that I was concerned about the lack of clean up and that a lot of debris was left behind but nothing came of it and no one followed up. A year later (now) we discovered they left roofing material scattered across our roof resulting in clogging our gutters that we had to pay a company to have cleaned. When I called Wheaton with pictures as proof they (Timothy Eagan) refused to reimburse us for their negligence. They stated they can't pay us for something that resulted from a job that they did a year ago saying "I don't agree with you." This means their five year workmanship warranty doesn't include clean up. I explained that this is not proper customer service not to make right on this since we paid thousands of dollars for the roof. He said "I'm entitled to my opinion." and "we keep talking in circles." with no compassion. Our contract states that they would clean up which was something our lawn and clogged gutter had proved they did not do. It cost us $125 to have someone clean out nails, scrap metal disks and shingles from our gutters. Our home is three stories high with low possibility for natural elements to clog our gutters. I hope Mr. Eagan is happy that he saved his company, Wheaton Roofing $125. I hope this small victory was worth it because what it really bought Wheaton was lost business and several bad reviews posted to many websites that will surely result in more loss of business from future prospects and I will be filing a complaint for poor business practices to BBB.

    Denny & Gardner
Norm Gardner came to my place and provided guidance to address the water
seepage issue i was having at my townhouse.  The extender pipe I
purchased for my neighbor's downspout has removed water pooling in the
shared corner of our townhomes, and Norm saved me a bunch of money.
Not only did he come out to my house within 12 hours of my call, he also said he was willing to come back asap if his suggestion did not work.

    Gutterman Services Inc
They showed up on the day expected and I assume all of the work was done.   Being on the roof, I am unable to visually inspect the work done.   I did have to call the office a couple of times to request a copy of the Sales Receipt which was then emailed to me.

    Roofer 911
I would recommend Roofer911 to others. Steve Briesemeister, the company owner came out to my home to evaluate roofing damage.  He was professional, clear in his communication, and on time to the appointment.  He took the time to answer my numerous questions and did not try to rush me into any decisions.   He explained the process for what work needed to be done and that the repairs could be made the same day.  I was so impressed by Steve that I talked to my neighbor (who needed roof work done as well) and he decided to use Roofer911 the same day.

Within about 1 hour of agreeing to the work, the roofing team came to the house to begin the repairs.  The team was just as professional, clear, and courteous as Steve.  In my many years of working with contractors for home repairs, I have never met a team like this; one that felt like an extension of the owner.  The team clearly explained the work they were going to do and asked if we had any questions.  The kicker to the whole event is that the team realized that not as much repair was needed as originally believed.  They explained what they found and why some of the expected work was not required.  They also told me that the bill would be reduced based on the reduced amount of work.  It is good to know there are honest contractors out there.  Oh, and the team was very clean; no mess left after they left. So yes, I wholeheartedly recommend Roofer911.

    Elements Home Remodeling
We previously hired Elements Home Remodeling to replace our windows and paint our town house.  They did such a good job we called them again to install our hardwood floors in our kitchen and foyer. We had Bruce Oak hardwood installed.  The workmen were very professional and did an excellent job.  They moved all appliances  to install the hardwood under them.  They did an excellent job replacing all of the molding and transition strips.  Three workers completed the entire job in 6 hours, including removing the old floor and cleaning up after themselves. Mike came by to make sure everything was going well and to ensure we were pleased with the work. We would definitely hire Elements Home Remodeling again.  As a matter of fact, we have hired them to replace our gutters, garage door and replace/repair exterior wood trim on our town house.

    Tamir Construction
This construction company was recommended by their friend, a HUD consultant. They came in very low in budget and said yes to everything I wanted to do. However, lacked quality, project management and attempted to cut corners during the renovation. Their main concern and the one thing they were very punctual on was collecting money. It wasn't about the quality of work they did [lack there of] or the complaints of the owner- Tamir Construction- run by Muhammad Irfan Qureshi and Mohammad Chaudhry, main concern was whether they were getting paid. Excuses, excuses for all things found wrong and never their fault-  always the owner, budget or the  timeline...etc.

Examples:They tiled my bathroom five times and ran through my materials each time.  The HUD Consultant had a meeting with the subcontractors to move through my vision, the designers layout and the materials. Everyone said yes they could do it. The bathrooms were horrible. One subcontractor  was attempting to glue wood to green boards in my bathroom so he could attach the mosaic stone to it. Luckily I was onsite that day and caught this.  Their excuse: "when you hired us- you didn't say we were customizing a home. We would have brought in our best contractors". Well isn't every home custom? Especially when it's a renovation project because the owner chooses their own materials? And shouldn't you sit down with the owner and understand their vision and choice of materials before you start the activity?

2). My materials were damaged several times due to working out of sequence. Materials I had custom made and flown in- when this was brought to their attention; here came the excuses again and their attempt to patch and fix my materials instead of replacing them.

3). After dry walling and laying hardwood floors, Tamir Construction decides to power wash a 1920 home that has sand like mortar. Water/acid went every where. The subcontractors were hurt [acid spilled on them], OSHA was called and drywall had to be removed along with the hardwood floors [cupping started due to moisture]. When I pointed out that they should have determined a better way to remove paint off such an old home and complained about the sequence of activities- they became offended instead of listening and repairing the problem.

THERE WAS NO PROJECT MANAGER ONSITE. Muhammad Qureshi would make a grand appearance once a day and leave the workers to themselves. He didn't equip them with Porter Johns or inform them the sequence of their activities. They destroyed each others' work, p***** in my sump pump and in bottles and spat on my floors- IN FRONT OF ME!!

My kitchen cabinets were beautiful but due to the cabinet guy they work with, it took him four months to install and Tamir had other contractors touching each other's work. After the home was completed, I moved in and my one year old niece was in the kitchen with me- the 48" cabinet door fell on glass and shot shattered glass through the kitchen. Missing her! I called and texted- furious. Excuses- Muhammad Qureshi says to me- "she shouldn't have been swinging on the door." My niece was no where near the door when it fell, crashing into my granite counter tops. Did I mention she is one years old?!

I could go on and on but the bottom line is save your money- pay for a real construction company that will prepare, plan then implement with you and give your project the attention and customization it deserves. I am still fighting with this company to take accountability for damage due to a subcontractors installation and they wont return my calls..You pay for what you get...stay clear of these guys. They are a train wreck and your worse nightmare.
