AVista Construction Group, LLCWhat a great company to work with. Always on time and work full days. Our walkout basement was completely unfinished. They finished about 1800 square feet and I couldn’t be any happier with the work. I am a glass artist and had been using part of the unfinished area for my studio and dreamed of the day when I would have a proper area to work in. I designed the studio space knowing what I would need and the room is perfect. They did everything I wanted and needed. It is everything I wanted and dreamed of. The rest of the basement is a nice open area. They built a beautiful bathroom, we have a area just waiting for a big bar to be put in place. We have a exercise area too. My husband is thrilled with the size of tv we were able to get. What we thought would be an area we wouldn’t use much has become the place we are in every evening. We still have an unfinished area for storage. The basement is perfect. This is the third project I have had Vista do for us. I won’t hire anyone else. The quality of the work is outstanding. If you want anything done in your home you can’t go wrong hiring this company. The first photo is my studio area before the work was started. Last photo is my studio completed. Thank you Scott and crew for making my dream area come true- Laura B.

AThe Drying CoThis is a copy of my email sent to them 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard back from them 😒 I wanted to share my feedback from my experience with The Drying Company. 1/ KNOWING YOUR PRODUCT The salesman assured me that they would be able to spray foam on existing insulation (Ceiling + Wall) because they have the best foam. When I asked him a second time, after another company told me that it would not work, he reassured me that it will work. So I signed with them. And when your technicians came on site, it did not work. BUMMER 2/ RECHARGING A LIFT => BEING EFFICIENT I provided a scissor lift for the technicians. And after working the whole day, they did not plug the lift in to recharge overnight. So when they arrived around 8 o'clock on Friday they could not work. 3/ CLEANING => DOING A NEAT JOB After the work was completed: The trash can was left full inside the warehouse. (See picture attached). The plastic protection was rolled up and dropped outside the warehouse alongside the dumpster (See picture attached). I have drops of spray foam on the drywall which was painted the week before they started the work & a BIG CHUNK above the restroom. (See picture attached). I am sorry but this is not acceptable. For a $35,000 job, I expected more professionalism. Even from the first day, when we had to unload your products from the truck, things were not as expected. I will not be recommending The Drying Company.- Spelna I.

AWilliamsburg Maintenance IncI feel very blessed to have found this Company several years ago. The owner, Phil & his head crew person Shamus are always very amenable, professional and knowledgeable. I know when they come to do a job that it will be within my financial constraints and that they will do an excellent job. They give me a great peace of mind knowing they care about the job they're doing and always go up and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Williamsburg Maintenance. I always know when they show up to do a job it will be done with perfection and care. Their abilities and skills seem to be unlimited! They are always very courteous, professional and fair in pricing.- Michelle O.

AMiguel Rodriguez, LLCThey showed up on time, did beautiful work that I know will not need to be redone, and fixed the asbestos door and shingles that the other contractors and firemen damaged unnecessarily. I am planning other work for this contractor to do because he has been honest and reliable.- Chris h.

BThe Drying CoEverything started very good. I received a call the same day to schedule the initial appointment. Matt the salesman was on time and very professional. I had to wait two weeks for the installation, that was not a problem. I was contacted about 2-3 days before the scheduled installation date and I was told that they overbooked some jobs and needed to move the installation one day. I had no problem with that. I was scheduled for 3 days in a row to complete the job. The crew showed up in time and completed the first part of the job, a second crew and the remaining part. That's when the problems started. I sat in my house for the next two days waiting for someone to show up to complete the work. I received a call at the end of the second day to let me know that I was scheduled for the next day, at this time I was not able to accommodate that request because I had family coming on that day for one day (Friday). Then I was told that I would receive a call on Friday to schedule another day to complete the work. I received a call 4 days later to tell me that my work will be completed a month later because they were booked up. On top of that, they told me that someone had tried to contact me several times and couldn't reach me. That was a lie, no one called me. At this time, I decided to canceled the remaining work , I was not going to wait another month to complete my work for their lack of communication and follow up. Then I received an email trying to schedule my work for the next Saturday, they were making an exception to help me. Really? Why that option was not available before, specially when I have been very flexible with them. I decided to cancel the remaining work anyway. The quality of work is good, Matt was great, but the admin office really needs to follow up when they suppose to. Don't make promises that you can't keep and don't lie trying to cover your lack of planning and communication. That's why I'm given them a B on my review.- Jose S.

DParamount Builders IncHad a 15 year old kid dropped off to do the majority of the work removing the siding. Since the new siding has been installed it has fallen off the house at least 5 times now. Pieces are not finished and the workmanship look like crap to put it nicely. Majority of the repairs for the siding falling off the house has consisted of the young 15 year kid, literally got his drivers license last month, putting a few nails in the trim that has since fallen off the house again. Paramount builders is nothing more than a fast sale scam. what good is descent quality material if i falls off the house every other day.- Don W.

BJES Foundation RepairOverall they did a good job. However he project did not start or end on as scheduled. I had to tell them multiple times about things they had not done as contracted. The county inspector indicated that they had not done something right but it was over a month before they came to fix it and that was only after I called to to ask about it. The Office staff to which I communicated the problems were helpful and responsive to each of my calls. I waited for months to receive the final bill for the project and only received it after I called asking about it.- David P.

AProfessional company. After doing lots of research I decided to use closed cell foam to insulate the attic rafters in my 60 year-old home. I met with 6 companies in the area that install foam insulation. 3 of them tried to talk me into open-cell insulation, which is an unproven product for my application. Two other companies, both with good reputations, were willing to install closed-cell foam; one of them offered a great price while the other offered a price that was well outside my budget. Then I met with James Kuhn, the owner of Virginia Foam, and we had a very detailed discussion about what I was looking for. His price was not the lowest but I felt he really knew what he was talking about and had done enough closed-cell foam installations to be able to do the job properly (the installation is more involved then open-cell foam). Under challenging conditions (120 degrees plus in the attic) his team did a great job. I liked the work so much I hired them to insulate the addition I just put on my home. This scope included both closed-cell foam and traditional fiberglass batts. Once again they did a thoroughly professional job and left my home spotless. I would recommend the team at Virginia Foam to anyone.

AFirst I just want to say how professional this company is! I had called 3 other companies that never even called me back! A friend referred Lux. They actually picked up my call & made an appointment for their guy Matt to come to my house. Matt was a consummate professional; on time, honest, knowledgeable, & experienced. He found the cause of the water problem & gave me a reasonable estimate in just a few minutes. I would not hesitate to refer this company & Matt! They are a real class act. You will be in good hands with Lux.

ACSI was flexible and was able to schedule a home inspector the day after I got a bid accepted on a house. The inspector, Patrick, showed up on time and the inspection took about 4 hours. Patrick was responsive to any questions I had by email or live during the inspection. My one recommendation is that I requested a pest, mold, radon, and home inspection. It would be a better heads up if they explained that they sometimes outsource the radon inspection depending on availability of radon inspectors. Also, they can explain a bit more for new home buyers what is involved with a mold inspection. Patrick ended up just eyeing whether he spotted any mold. Because he did not see any mold, we did not have to pay extra for mold samples.

FHorrible Company!!! I hired Remodel USA to remodel my kitchen in December 2019. I was so excited about my new kitchen and the salesperson did a great job hooking me. Even the president of the company called and thanked me for choosing them. I thought I found the best company but unfortunately once they got my deposit I discovered that they are a nightmare. I called for months trying to figure out when they were going to start the work and the once they did show up they just tore everything up and left me with a huge mess that I now have to pay someone else to fix. Not one permit was pulled despite being told it was being done and that the city was asking for this or that to justify delay after delay. Then when confronted they tried to say that permits were not needed even though the city assured me that that was not correct. And confronting them was another issue all together. No one knows what is going on from the top on down. Poor communication and dishonest business practices are their staple. Don’t let these guys take advantage of another person.

FI am a 65 year old disabled veteran taking care of my 95 year old mother. We went with Long Roofing thinking we would have a professional experience. Furthest thing from the truth. Install was bad. No communication between anyone in the company to resolve issues. Repair/replace has been pursued since install in November of 2018. Company has refused to acknowledge mistakes even after numerous "inspections", a large number of photos and independent inspector I had to hire at my expense to validate my issues. I have had to go through more than The company seems too busy to take care of their customers correctly. I am still in the process of trying to get my roof fixed from their install and it is March of 2019.
