    Rappahannock Area Community Services Board
I felt that the counselors and doctor did listen to me and tried very hard to help. They genuinely seemed to care about my health and gave me sound advice and lessons that have helped me handle life in the best way possible..or at least much better than before. As a patient I will say that the billing is not very organized there as Im still getting bills for something thats been paid..I HAD to pay every time I went how the heck do I owe money? Ive discussed this with them at the time..but will have to revisit as I just got another bill. Still overall a helpful local service that I would recommend.

    Michael Cohen MD
Dr. Cohen was very precise and thorough in terms of conducting a lengthy conversation for symptoms and performing a physical exam for neurological responses to stimuli. He spent a good deal of time with us and was able to confirm a diagnosis of Parkinson's. Dr. Cohen was very receptive to answering a host of questions about the condition, as well. My husband and I have seen him several times now, as he is adjusting medication dosage to control the trembling symptoms. This physician is a knowledgeable, very experienced doctor and posesses a high level of expertise in his chosen field. We trust his judgement and will continue to use him as out neurologist of choice.

The initial consultation went great and I look forward to the next session. She is very easy to talk to and has excellent communication skills.

She is excellent at what she does. She is very good, and knowledgeable about what she does. She really has helped. Sometimes it’s hard to get in there, because she sees quite a few people.

    Michael Cohen MD
I love him.  He is wonderful.  He knows what he is talking about and I am very fortunate for that.  I have epilepsy and would have seizures and Dr. Cohen knows how to handle it.  He told me that it?s under control and he will do everything he can to control my seizures.   I love the way he works.   He is good for my specific patient care but he doesn?t have the best bedside manner.  He is not just very calming instead he very straightforward and factual.  There is a two eek wait.  The receptionist is not the best.

    Capone, Dr. Patrick
I use them regularly like once in 6 months.  My experience with them is good.  They are very personable.  Their punctuality is good.  They perform appropriate tests.  They have a lot of experience.  I would use them again in the future.

He is very calming, wise, and practical counselor.  He is very convenient to downtown Fredricksburg.

    Mayes, Dr. Patricia F.
I would highly recommend her since she is very personable, very considerate and very caring. She takes care of me as if I am a part of her family. On my last visit she was running a little late since she had some procedure to do in her last office so she asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee or something while I was waiting. This showed that she went above and beyond from what was normal.

    Russel McKelway MD
I have been treating with Dr. McKelway for over a decade. He is thorough, kind and attentive. He fully evaluated my conditions and offered treatment options. He will not simply offer "a pill and a bill", if that is what you are looking for, you should look elsewhere. He looks at the whole patient. When medication is necessary, he monitors how it works, including lab work if needed to avoid complications and to maximize result. As your condition, situation or medical status changes, he works to revise your treatment plan. At each step, he made certain I was in agreement and actively involved in treatment decisions. Maintaining mental health is an ongoing process, and for it to work, it requires the patient to honestly participate and work with the doctor. You get what you put in. He listens, he cares, and then he acts--- in that order. As a result, I trust him unconditionally and recommend him without reservation.

    Epilepsy Institute Of Nc
We were able to get an appointment soon after our primary physician referred us. Once at the office, we did not have a long wait. This facility has several doctors, and we saw a psychologist and neurologist at the same visit. Everyone was professional and very friendly, and the doctors were thorough. They treated our son like a person (not everyone does that with a quirky five-year-old) and answered our questions. We will make return trips for therapy, and they have an appropriate child therapist on staff.
