We made the down payment and he took our money and ran. I've been talking to a lawyer lately. There are people after him for the same thing. We're suing for fraud and we have already gotten the judgement for it. They have several different names. The name we contracted with was Innovative Deck and Patio. Their names are Erika and Carson. We started this October 15th of last year and they were going to have it done between November 15th and December 15th. They did absolutely nothing. They told me they took out permits and when I went to pick up the permits they hadn't. They just lied and lied and lied. We called them December 16th and asked for our money back and they said you'll have to take us to court.

    Prince William Home Improvement
Prince William Home Improvement did everything for me.  They did all of the drawings for my project and got all of the necessary permits.  The crew that was sent to my home was very knowledgeable and professional.  I believe that they went way beyond what I had expected.  I had in my mind what I thought the finished product would be but my enclosure is way beyond amazing.  I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful job.  Prince William Home Improvement will get any future project from me, friends or family.

    Patio Enclosures
This job was done 17 years ago but II've been having serious issues with flooding for the past 5 years. When I purchased the enclosure I was told I had a limited lifetime warranty. I've had about five professionals from Angie's List come and look at the cinder block and concrete knee wall where the water is coming in and have been told that it had not been waterproofed properly or at all. A representative from Patio Enclosures came to look at the issue and said he'd get back to me. I then received a call from Bill Reames who told me that the issue was not their fault and that it was due to my neglect. He then told me he would give me an estimate on how much they would charge me to correct the issue. I've not heard from them again and it's been more than two weeks ago. Back in 1997 the work began in August and I was told would be completed by Halloween. The enclosure wasn't completed until after Christmas. The workers were often late and very inconsiderate with the surrounding area and my home. I thought that for $40,000 I would get more than 17 years of use. I would never recommend this company to anyone. In response to another positive review, Bill Reames said " I hope you enjoy your enclosure for years and years to come". Beware that means about 15- 20 years. Not worth the money. I wish I had just had a traditional addition built.

Deckorators uses their own crews (as opposed to sub-contractors) for all projects.  As with any major construction project, when they provide estimated start and finish dates, such dates are subject to revision due to weather.  In our case, they showed up when they said they would and finished exactly on time (two weeks).  The construction crew worked throughout what
has  thus far been the hottest two weeks of the summer, worked diligently in blistering heat, and took care to disrupt the daily household activities as little as possible.  Cleanup after project finish was immaculate, and we are now enjoying a deck and screened porch that will last much longer than either my wife or myself.  I would recommend Deckorators to anyone desiring a top quality deck or screened porch.  They were great.

I was not pleased with their work. I think that the prices are not very competitive for the North Virginia area. The workers did not speak English. They did not bring a generator and were running power from my outlets and they tripped the power a couple of different times. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner and they really did not take care of anything or give any discounts. The overall experience was shoddy. The work was good and the porch does look good now. I am happy with the product but the business practice does need some work.

    Picture Perfect Home Improvements LLC
I've hired Picture Perfect Home Improvements on numerous occasions for work on my mothers house. Her property is about 40+ years old.
My first experience with Mike and his crew was replacing the roof on my mothers house. Mike came over and gave us the best estimate by far and was able to keep the final cost in perfect alignment with his estimate, no upcharges, no additional costs, no hidden fees, just an up front dollar amount and then stuck to it. At the start he informed us of what takes place with roof replacement and explained completely all the potential costs associated with any variables they may encounter after removing the badly worn shingles of the old roof. He explained that if there was water damage to any of the wood underneath what the cost of replacing this wood would be  and any other "hidden" issues with working on the roof. It was good to have someone with experience go thru all the possible "what ifs" with this type of work before getting into a binding contract and have all the potential costs listed up front. I went ahead and green lighted the roof job and Mike's crew got started the next day.
The work crew showed up just after 8am and got started as agreed upon. They were nice, courteous, introduced themselves and asked if I (or my mother) had any final questions before they got started; nothing from us so they immediately got to work. After the first day of pulling shingles, it was discovered there were two wooden boards with severe water damage that would have to be replaced. No worries, since we had all ready covered the potential costs associated with this discovery and I was prepared for the possibility of these bad boards. The wood was replaced on day 2 and the bad shingles continued to be removed as the new shingles started to be installed. The whole project from start to finish took about 4 days (due to bad weather 1 day) and I couldn't be happier. I've had nothing but good things to say about PPHI and I am always confident in recommending Mike and his crew for any and all home improvement jobs to friends and family.
A few years later I brought Mike and PPHI back into my mothers house to completely re-do the whole downstairs (2 level SFH in Dale City - Dogwood model) drywall. I didn't bother getting any other estimates as I was sure Mike would beat them so I skipped the first step, brought in PPHI for the estimate, and then had the crew get started.
Again they showed up promptly around 8am, introduced themselves, asked if we had any questions, and then went over step by step what they were going to do. Jose and Marvin were very professional inside the house, making sure to take a few extra steps to not leave any marks on the floor or walls with the drywall equipment. I'm sure they do this everywhere they work, but I noticed and appreciate it. The whole drywall project took a week as there was an issue with getting some additional drywall from the supplier and my mother made a few last minute changes that PPHI was able to accommodate without any problems.
After the drywall for the downstairs was completed, MIke and PPHI really hit a home run with the delivery of a new sliding glass door leading to my mothers new sun room that took the place of the old deck being built by another company. The other company ran into a supply/delivery problem with the french doors she wanted to have installed leading to the sun room and while the doors/entry way was their responsibility, Mike stepped up to the plate and sat down with my mother and I and explained why the french doors would be a cumbersome problem with where they would open and close in relation to some of the furniture in the sun room and the kitchen. (room in which the sun room is off of) Mike explained that a sliding glass door would serve a much better use since it doesn't need to "swing" open like french doors. The other company didn't even contemplate this hinderance or didn't say anything about it. My mother agreed and approached the other company about changing the plans from having french doors to having a sliding door. No problem with the changes from the other company (not here to bad mouth, they did a great job on the sun room and I would recommend them) and they canceled the back order for the french doors and ordered a sliding glass door. Unfortunately the sliding glass door couldn't be delivered for 3 days (vendor delivery) so this is where PPHI smashes the ball out of the park - Mike opts to personally take his truck up to the supplier and pick up the door for us. Now remember PPHI has nothing to do with the sun room completion, the door entry way to the sun room or anything, yet Mike goes and gets the sliding glass door for us so the other company can complete the sun room and install the door. All Mike did was recommend the sliding door over the french doors, and deliver the door in which he had no responsibility for; truly a wonderful gesture!
Mike and Picture Perfect Home Improvements will always get a positive, thumbs up review from me!
