  • Brian Brennan (owner) was wonderful to work with. I am not too good at envisioning things. He went shopping with me to pick out the tile, countertops, vanity and toilets. He was also very good at keeping me within my budget. He checked in and came by to see how everything was progressing. His crew was fantastic. They were always on time and were respectful of keeping my house clean. I love how my bathroom turned out and would highly recommend Custom Design Tile to anyone who is looking for a contractor to do excellent professional work. Looking forward to working with Brian again on a future project.

  • I highly recommend them . I had a custom order for a vanity top from a remrant because I read they are cheaper and indeed they are if you don't want something specific , I end up choosing a piece of quartz ! It turn out amazing and cheap and I don't feel it's from a remrant piece. The service is amazing you have a LOT to choose from , they are distributing and cutting but also they can free estimate and install it in like 3-5 days! I highly recommend them and I can't wait to do my kitchen!

  • I most highly recommend Bull Run Kitchen & Baths for your remodeling needs. We walked into their showroom with the sole purpose of getting an idea about what they had. We were greeted by one of the owners who answered all of our questions and showed us a variety of things for us the consider. His years of experience was obvious in that he understood exactly what we were looking for. That very same day. he came to our home to take rough measurements and to give us a quote for the job. After considering alternative quotes, we signed to have the job done. We were invited to the marble place in Springfield where we were able to choose the exact slab of marble we wanted. He explained the idiosyncrasies of each piece so that we could make an informed decision. He marked the outline of each piece on the marble and let us take photos to ensure that what would be delivered was what we selected. He then gave us a tour of the fabrication area to show us how each piece is cut and polished. It was extremely interesting and informative, and was a quite unexpected service. Within two days, another gentleman came to our house to take exact measurements. Then two days later, they were ready to install. Three gentleman arrived about 9:30 am, as promised. They came in through the garage and placed tarp on the floor so as not to mar the flooring. They removed the old pieces, installed the new counters, and applied the sealant. They were done by noon. A little time after that, the plumber arrived to install the sink and faucet. Again, he was done within about an hour. The owner called in the morning to ensure that the job was being started, called when the plumber arrived, and came to check out the work when it was all done. I was impressed by his attention to detail and for making sure everything was going smoothly and that we were satisfied with the work. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience. The people at Bull Run Kitchen and Baths know what they are doing, Their price was reasonable. They are fair and honest, and have extremely high standards of service. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and will not hesitate to hire them for additional work in our home. As a matter of fact, we have already requested a quote for some work in our basement bathroom. I have attached some before and after photos of our kitchen.

  • We spent over a year looking for a contractor. From big box stores, to Swedish stores, to do-it-yourself, we could not find a decent solution. We realized our kitchen needed to be done by a professional. It was sheer luck that we stumbled on to Bull Run Kitchen and Bath. We found them online, submitted a form and Hakan was in our house measuring within a few days. By that Saturday, we were in his shop looking at the design. He brought it up on a giant TV, my wife and I were able to see the kitchen in 3D in order to make decisions about the layout. Hakan gave us two options for a custom wine bar by our sliding glass door. After that, we walked the showroom where we selected cabinets, countertops, sink (and sink configuration!), backsplash, drawer pulls, and faucet. Everything was there, and Hakan helps you make decisions if you get stuck. We asked for references, and Hakan was able to immediately provide six of them. I called each one, and they all said great things. Even the people that I left voicemails for, called me back to praise Bull Run. Here's the great thing. It truly is a one stop shop. His price is the price, he doesn't charge you extra for anything they run into. As an example, in order to get the power to the island, they had to run electrical lines under the house through the crawl space. I would expect that any other company would charge you extra to do that, Bull Run did not. The kitchen is amazing, and they did all the work. The electrical, the installation, the plumbing is all done by their workers. And, they stand by everything they do. If anything happens in the next two years, all I have to do is send a text message to Hakan to get it fixed. That's piece of mind.

  • For $99, I got what I paid for.  Both people were extremely nice, very personable and easy to talk with.  I was surprised that the counter did not look much different after they left than before they came.  I think my expectations were a bit high; as I expected gleaming counters with a shine that would last.  That was not the case. I believe if I had done my research in the beginning I would have known that that the work they did was not going to get me the results I was looking for.  That said, it's not something I would do again.

  • I solicited several bids from different companies regarding a bright, white quartz countertop.  All the bids were in the $5,000 to $6,000 range.  Except Merrifield Marble and Granite.  They charged $3,000 to provide and install 50 sq. ft. of 'white zen' quartz, a new stainless steel sink and plumbing (sink hook-up with dishwasher and connect new faucet).  Installation of the quartz was completed in about an hour by 3 efficient young men.  The plumber came out later that same day to hook up the sink and faucet and connected my dishwasher and garbage disposal too.
The quartz is breathtaking and complements my new kitchen cabinets exactly as I envisioned.  I'm very happy with the service provided by Merrifield Marble and Granite and thrilled with the price!  I would definitely use them again.

  • I am very pleased and impressed by Bullrun Kitchen and Bath?s speedy yet quality work. I am selling my condo, and had to do quick job to put  my property on the market. The price was very reasonable from beginning and no additional charge on top of estimate. Muharrem aka ?Mo? was very easy to reach throughout the process, stopped by several times in person to check the progress, and met the schedule. I would definitely use Bullrun again for my new house.
I was checking some contractors from Angie?s List and I stopped by at their showroom one day. Mo quickly acknowledged and scheduled in-house estimate. From there, everything went smooth.
After measurement and estimate, I returned to the showroom to decide matching granite color, backsplash design and tile, and sink + faucet.
First, Granite dept took detail measurement, and replaced old wonky counter top. The work was done in one day. Next is backsplash. Again one day from removal to installing new backsplash. For backsplash, they used plenty of corner / trim tiles to maintain the overall design. (no additional charge) Next day, sink, facet and disposal were replaced.
The entire work process took only a week.
Everyone took care of carpet etc. and left no mess or damages. Great job arranging different dept. meeting estimate and schedule.
I would recommend Bullrun to my friends and neighbors.

  • I contacted Richstone through Angie's list. Super easy. They had a special online for $2075 for 50 Sq Ft of granite. I knew I wanted granite so it was pretty easy for me.
They were very persistent reaching out to me over a few months. I was finally ready to put the money down and have them come to measure. The day I scheduled to measure I needed to reschedule. Someone came out anyway even after I cancelled. I was home in the end so it worked out...
After measuring I was called by an assistant from the office to say they needed to come back out. This is honestly the only negative thing I have to say about the experience. The office assistant wasn't knowledgable about the process and misspoke to me twice. Sofia the main contact for me worked it out, but I explained how I didn't feel comfortable that they needed to come back out to measure. In the end, they needed to design a template since I had different angles.
Installation day was 3/6/2015 and it was the day after our large snow storm. I was given the time 10am-12pm that day. They arrived at 11:58am. So, I was happy. They were professional and VERY QUICK. They had my old counters out and the new ones in within 2 hours. They look good, and did a wonderful job.
The plumber arrived at 2:05pm and my plumbing for the new sink was done very quickly. He was very professional as well.
They cleaned up after themselves, and let me ask questions which is important to me. They were friendly and helpful.
I'm happy with the job they did and the time they did it.
    For $2,200 we got:
    1- Deep Sink
    1- New detachable silver faucet
35 Sq Ft - Black/tan granite counters cut with edges and seal
I'm very happy with the final product.

  • My husband and I are extremely grateful for the spectacular craftsmanship, professionalism and customer service that were rendered by TLG Tile. The process of totally transforming our master bathroom from a disaster area/eyesore into a modern, custom designed bathroom of exquisite beauty and comfort was accomplished with ease under the guidance of Todd and his team of professionals. We are pleased with all aspects of the work to include the beautiful tile and granite, heated floor, paint job, gorgeous cabinets and our enlarged shower enclosed with beautiful glass. The master bath has easily become one of our favorite rooms in the house and we find ourselves lingering there much longer than necessary due to the lovely and relaxing environment.

TLG Tile's attention to detail, precision and responsiveness are exceptional. The prices are far below other companies and the results are spectacular. I highly recommend TLG Tile to anyone who needs to remodel a bathroom.

  • I have hired many many contractors.  I wish they could all be like FBT.  So many good things to say about this company... where to start?
They know what they are talking about!  We had a leaking ceiling in our basement and thought that the pipes in the master bathroom were the problem.  Frank came to our house and did a thorough inspection of the leak, to include removal of a small piece of drywall so he could be sure of what was going on.  He was able to point out exactly what was wrong and show us the evidence.  Unfortunately, it turned out that it wasn't the pipes but that our shower pan had failed, and it was going to need to be replaced.  Also unfortunate was the fact that our tile was no longer available, so we were faced with having mismatched tile in the shower compared to the rest of the bathroom or replacing the tile in the entire bathroom.  We opted for the latter and we are so glad we did!
They are innovative and creative!  Frank had great design ideas and awesome products for us to choose from.  We agreed on a design that included a linear drain on the shower floor, which allowed for the curb to be removed, and also a large 30x30 inch niche on the back shower wall that would have several floating granite shelves to match the new floating granite bench.  Materials selection was very efficient and made easy by the top notch suppliers that Frank chooses to use.
They are exceptionally professional! Once the work began, the crew was here every morning by 7:15 (they asked how early they could start and we said early and they took us up on it!) and worked all day long and into the late afternoon.  There were quite a few nights that I was starting to wonder if they were going to go home for dinner.  I honestly have no idea when they ate lunch - it seemed like they were always working!  They were always pleasant and polite and worked diligently and with great care.  You could tell they were not cutting any corners.  They also took great care to minimize dust (covered the furniture in my bedroom every single day) and make sure nothing was damaged (there was a barrier that went down on the floor leading from the exterior door to the bathroom for the duration of the project and every day they added a second cloth on top which they took up every night).
They are amazing craftsmen!   When we encountered duct work and plumbing that was not well placed in the wall where the niche was supposed to go, they quickly provided a solution and did the additional work quickly and with great care.  Despite this big rework, the job was not thrown that far off schedule.  Probably because they worked so hard and so long every day.  Additionally, Frank noticed that the tile we chose was solid all the way through, so we had the option of having the bull nose edge custom cut on the border tiles instead of using the standard bull nose pieces at all of the edges.  This is not an easy thing to do - it has to be PERFECT.  Well, they did it and it absolutely is.  It looks amazing and adds to the already clean looking installation.
I would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone.  They are worth every single penny spent and I love my new bathroom.  The entire project, along with the outcome, far exceeded my very high expectations.
