Lighting Installation reviews in Dale City

    Jimenez Painting
Juan was very easy to work with even with a little bit of a language barrier. He responded quickly to all my messages and was able to start work quickly. He matched our paint exactly and purchased premium quality products. He went out of his way to order the correct siding boards, taking time to do it correctly. His team was able to tackle all the additional work that popped up including replacing the gutters, changing exterior light fixtures, removing and repairing an old wall exhaust, replacing old shutters and adding trim to the chimney. There were a few delays in the work mostly due to the weather but otherwise he managed time and supplies very well. Will be using him again for my other work inside the house!

    Custom Design Tile
Brian Brennan (owner) was wonderful to work with. I am not too good at envisioning things. He went shopping with me to pick out the tile, countertops, vanity and toilets. He was also very good at keeping me within my budget. He checked in and came by to see how everything was progressing. His crew was fantastic. They were always on time and were respectful of keeping my house clean. I love how my bathroom turned out and would highly recommend Custom Design Tile to anyone who is looking for a contractor to do excellent professional work. Looking forward to working with Brian again on a future project.

    Jeisen's Construction General Remodeling LLC
Jeisen was actually referred to me by a neighbor who raved about his quality. We interviewed him for the items that had to be taken care of in the house. Upon arrival, he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, respectful and punctual. His work is clean and finishes in a timely manner. He has very good communication skills and will inform you if there are any other needs regarding the job. We highly recommend Jeisen for any of your remodeling/ handyman needs!

    Helping Hands Handyman Services LLC
We are so happy to have found Helping Hands. Preparing our house for sale while my husband was away on military orders could have been very stressful but Nelson and his assistant Asa came to the rescue and were able to tackle all of the small projects that added up to a big worry for me. As a mom of two small kids I can tell you that I did not have the time or ability to do all of the things needing to be done. From a bathroom vanity install and drywall repair, to repairing wood rot on an exterior door, to replacing a ceiling fan, to installing a new lockset, to hanging new blinds, to helping unstick a window...the list goes on. They were courteous, on time, skilled and fairly priced. I can't say enough good and have passed along Nelson's info to several friends and fellow military spouses who are in the same boat that I am! Thank you for everything!

    Anderson Construction
The work was does quickly and very high quality. Mike came in to look at a leaking problem and found a laundry list of issues. He was quick to fix, very upfront, and honest with his work. Weve already had him come back to work on 2 separate projects since the one Im reviewing.

Many excuses and arrived several hours late. Took one look at job site and claimed to need to buy "tamper proof" outlet because the ones that I had were not "code." He came back an hour later with the EXACT same outlets as I had in the box. Same manufacturer and type. He took two hours to complete the job, which was resonable. But I was charged about $ 15.00 each for the same outlets that I already had AND one hour , at $ 189.00 per hour, for his travel time for the parts. No receipt was given, He said he would email it and it never came.

He did a great job -- did the work in a couple of hours, cleaned up nicely, was very professional. I can't tell you how much I appreciate his willingness to do our job so quickly, since we we had an overwhelming situation at home at that time. Great guy.

Bottom Line Up Top: Read the fine print on this one. First, I want to be clear that the installer was outstanding, and ultimately, did what I asked him to do. That being said, what I failed to catch when I bought this 'deal' was that the $349 assumed you were having an existing lighting fixture replaced, so that they could re-use the existing wiring to an existing switch. That's my fault, I failed to understand that's what the details on the job meant. Because the installer had to run the wires down a wall, and install a switch-box, the price for the job increased by $229. Had I wanted the installer to then repair the holes in the wall and ceiling that had to be made to do this job, it would have costed an additional $60/hole repair, but fortunately, that's a task I can easily do myself, saving me a further $240 (4 holes) that another person might have to pay. While I feel that the installer did a great job, and was especially careful to ensure not making a mess on the counters, the cost overruns (actual and potential) make this not such a great deal as it seemed.
