Wow! I thought it was impossible to rescue my brand new journal table form the extensive damage done by a home scent oil blown by the wind and spilled all over. Not only did the oil leave much lighter stains it also soaked a newspaper and that left different kind of damage, rings and spots of disappeared varnish. The table has many woods in it so I thought I lost it. Mr. Vargas took it on and within a month it looks brand new again, not a single shred of evidence of all the terrible damage. I know it was tremendous amount of work for the price and I really appreciate how much effort he put into it. They always called promptly and delivered on schedule. Picked it up and delivered back. True talent. Can't imagine going to anyone else.

    ARHAUS FURNITURE
It was on back order. So I didn't get it until December. Arhaus has a really good website. I actually was going to go to Arhaus to buy my sofa, but when I went and I looked at it, it wasn't the quality that I wanted and then the size of it and stuff. So I actually didn't end up getting it from there. I was going to get a coffee table from there. But the coffee table that I wanted, it was going to be made from a slab of wood. It was really specific and it was on back order. It was continuously on back order. I was like I'm not going to wait a year for a table. I didn't like their payment options in terms of, the only way you could really get it and lock in the price was to use their credit card or to pay for it. They are high on pricing. They were not responsive. When I went into the store to shop that day they didn't have enough sales people there because all of them were deeply engaged with the people already in the store. So you kind of had to wait around and wait for the next person to get free. They also weren't friendly in terms of greeting you and saying, "Oh I'm sorry I'm with someone else, but I'll check and see if there is someone available who can help you."

The care and craftsmanship is bar none. Yasser and his craftsmen are problem solvers.  They figure out how to disassemble delicate pieces, sand, stain, and reassemble to perfection.  Two pieces - the vanity and the couch, are pieces that my parents bought in 1940.  Not only  do they look magnificent, they are sturdier than before, and without ruining the integrity of the pieces. What is exciting is seeing how energized and excited Yasser is  with the finished product.  Everyone takes pride in their work!  It's phenomenal. I will recommend them to anyone, big jobs and small.

I submitted a request for reupholstery services via the Angie's List "schedule now" link on Friday July 3.  I got a reply message within minutes asking for pictures of the two chairs I wanted to reupholster.  It took me a few minutes to upload the pictures and respond.  I haven't heard anything since, despite a follow-up message that I sent on July 9.  I've tried to call them twice, but I get forwarded to some number that's different from the one I called, and that doesn't give any indication whether it's the correct number for  Pro Furniture Doctor.  It's disappointing, because this company is highly rated and looked very promising.  I guess I'm going to have to find someone else.

    Appliance Geek Inc
They were wonderful and honest.  My fridge is a piece of crap that came with the house that we bought in December.  It's only 5 years old, but apparently has a leak in the freon sealing system.  He said that he COULD fill the freon for about $300, but that's really not going to solve the problem. That the freon could be gone again in a week, or I could be good for another couple of yeras.  He said that I'd be better off getting a new fridge.
so instead of charging me an arm and a leg for something that would only work for a very brief period of time (earning his company money), he directed me to purchase a new appliance (which earns his company nothing but the service charge).
Because of his honesty, I will absolutely use them again in the future.  So glad I didn't try to put a bandaid on a gaping wound!

    Home Depot - Dale City
They provided a Veteran discount for the purchase. They took about three weeks to get them in stock. They delivered the appliances, but wouldn’t install them without having an inspector or a new line ran. I called another company and they were able to complete the installation with less work instead. The appliances I purchased were great.

    A&A Furniture Repair & Upholstery
Ray did an excellent job and is a very skilled worker. I could not even tell the different between the repaired chair legs and the undamaged legs. He is just great worker and I would absolutely use his service again. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

    HH Gregg
First off, our salesperson was wonderful. Picked out just right the appliances, matched prices, bought extended warranties. The appliances were delivered in a timely fashion by professional, courtesy people. So initial sale goes off without a hitch..all A's at this point.
What happens when something goes wrong is another kettle of fish.
They do not support their warranty company. What I mean by this is everyone points fingers at everyone else no one to supports customer. For example: My refrigerator went out on June 17th 2014 service call into HH Gregg service company, appointment set for Friday June 20. Technician arrives two hours late. Comes in says refrigerator busted will be replacing. On Monday service company calls says sending out another technician to verify information on Tuesday. This technician comes in and says sealed system problem. and quot;Iand quot; must call Kitchenaid because this is a manufacturer defect and they are liable to fix it . I call Kitchenaid and appointment is now set. Appointment has been cancelled by repair company twice due to illness. It is now three weeks without a refrigerator. I go into HH Gregg and ask for help. I talk with manager at the Woodbridge store and he says he will ask if he can get me a loaner refrigerator to help and will call manufacturer to see if he can get me a quicker appointment. He says he will call back later in the afternoon with answer. He never calls back. So at long last Kitchen aid representative company shows up and actually takes appliance apart to see what is wrong and it is not a and quot;sealed system problemand quot;. So I am asked to pay because I am outside the manufacturer warranty time frame. I called back to the HH Gregg warranty company while the technician is here and was told they could not authorize payment because supervisors did not come into 9am. I told them I would hold said she could not be on hold for 10 minutes! I told her I have spent weeks without a refrigerator and hours on phone trying to get help. Said sorry! Would have supervisor call. No call. Called back got hold of supervisor said since original company misdiagnosed will pay bill but now needs records.
Have sent paperwork but I am not holding my breath. I'm now out an additional money even though I have a and quot;warrantyand quot;.
My greatest disappointment was no once cared about the consumer. If it was not an easy fix forget it. The burden was thrown on me to get a working appliance. Parts have been ordered and the manufacturer's representative is scheduled to return with parts on July 17, 2014. This company knows what they are doing at least. I just hope that next week I have a fully functioning refrigerator. So look at time frame..how many families do you know can live without a refrigerator for a month?

    FURNITURE MEDIC by Karen
Mitchell repaired a drawer that was broken to my bedroom armoire.  He did a great job.  He also repaired the nicks and scratches on my bed, night stands, dresser and a Grandfather clock.  I will definitely use this company in the future.

Delivery of the stove and it's installation were two separate appointments. In both cases the workers were on time, professional and knowledgeable. The installation team did a very good job (I'm always extra worried when I have workers putting holes in the side of the house) and I have no complaints. I also very much appreciated the installer spending about half an hour with me after installation while he taught me how to use, clean and maintain the stove.
