If You Are a New Client, Be Prepared for a Real Ride. A great clinic can be ruined by an indifferent administrative staff . To relate a recent experience. I transferred two dogs from another practice to Wellness. Normally such a transfer involves swapping shot records and is done, as a professional courtesy, by the acquiring office. The Wellness staff refuses to do this - it only takes 5 minutes but is obviously overwhelming. Ok, so I get copies and send Wellness the records by email and fax a week before the appointment. I arrive with the dogs and as I'm entering the exam I look at the Wellness paperwork and it's for a one year rabies vaccination, not the three that I would otherwise be entitled to. I would literally have to pay another $200 next year. I start to walk out and as I was leaving asked them where are the records - they deny they received them. Unfortunately one of the girls surfing the email then says she found them - they are caught in a lie but it was a nice attempt at unnecessary bill padding. I ask about calling the prior clinic to get the third dogs records and they go into an elaborate song and dance how all their communications systems are down due to Florence. I smile pick up my cell phone, turn on the speaker and hit speed dial and am immediately connected. Caught in another lie. If you are going to be a client here; then check the vaccination dates, check the bill, and be prepared for down-low customer service.

I had been a client of this vet since 2006, I was a very satisfied customer and have always been impressed with the kindness of the Vet and staff to my pets. I-recently moved from the area and was caught off guard of their response when I asked for my pet records to be transfer to a clinic closer to my new home. They refused to transfer my records stating I had a balance on my account for a missed appointment, I quickly checked my record and confirmed I had notified them I could not make this appointment (due to my recent move) within the clinics required timeframe. The receptionist, put me on hold to ask the office manager and vet if she could remove the charge based on my documentation of the proper notification. I was shocked and disappointed when the receptionist came back on the line to notify me they were not willing to release the records unless I paid the "missed appointment" fee. At no time before I made the transfer request did the office contact me to discuss this charge, only when they were notified I would no longer be using their clinic did they charge me a fee. Very disappointing -I have spent thousands of dollars with this business and referred several new clients to them. I apologize to all who I have referred that may have to deal with this type of pettiness for a situation (like moving out of the area) they have no control over.

Do not board your dog here. I was traveling the last nine of ten days and my dog stayed at Calypso Kennels. She went in on Sept. 27, out on Oct. 2, back in on Oct. 3 and I picked her up at 9 AM on Oct. 8. On Oct. 7 they called me to say my dog had kennel cough. And they were isolating her. Clearly she caught it at the kennel which means they were not doing a good job of sanitizing their kennel. I wanted my latest kennel fee waived and all vet fees paid for. Vet visit so far has cost $170.00. They refused. Not even apologetic. Truly awful.

My dog was misdiagnosed and died after cruelly being left alone in a cage for 11 hours. I brought my dog in for vomiting - she was unable to keep water down. I came back later the same day and the diagnosis was gastrointestinal problems and I was told she'd need to be hospitalized for 2-3 days on IV fluids. They took countless x-ray focusing on her back and joints and missed her acute pancreatitis. She died after they left her alone from 8pm until 7am the next morning. If I had known that "hospitalization" meant being left alone for 11 hours I would have taken her elsewhere. And they padded my bill to $900 for the xrays, blood tests, IV, barium and pain medication.

We boarded our 2 cats here over Labor Day weekend.  We dropped them off on Thursday morning, and we picked them up on Monday morning.  Even though Monday was a holiday, the owner very kindly let us come by to get our pets that day.  Our cats were well cared for, and they were given play time outside of their cages.  The area where the cats stayed was very clean.  Our cats seemed to enjoy their stay, as much as cats can in a kennel!  The owner was very friendly and patiently answered all of my questions.  We would definitely use this kennel again.  

Did not feed him all his food, give him his toys or blamket. Brought him out without choke collar as I asked as my sister was picking him ip. He smelled and pooped 6 times first hour he was home. So much for walking 3x per day. Plus I was charged $2 more a night, when I asked if it was still $22/ night after he was weighed and receptionist said. Yes! Got charged $24/ night. Not happy, will not use again. Worked for this practice for 11 years at vetech, surprised of their lack of concern.

Overall they did a pretty good job, they did exactly what I asked them to. Friendly service and was done when promised. There a few tiny matts left behind her ears, but overall she looked, felt and smelled noticeably better.

Our Alaskan Malamute gets excited just at the mention of going. The staff is always friendly. And our dog is happy. The staff is attentive of our wishes using our shampoo. I must say that our dog is still sometimes damp when we pick her up, but she does weigh 125 pounds is ALL fur. I am very satisfied with the service we receive.

Great! Highly recommend and will use their services again.
