ADIY Kitchens & Baths LLCWe had long-overdue kitchen remodeling project in our list, and when finally we were ready to do it, we contacted five different contractors. All of them had 5/5 rating on different websites with fair amount of feedback count in total, so we interviewed each of them. Among all five of them, Pasha from DIY Kitchens and baths was the one of only two contractors who actually measured every single inch of our existing kitchen. Further, Pasha was the only person who actually noted all details of floor plan we have in our mind, and also gave us feedback and his own idea. Other three contractors were immediately dropped from our list - as I don't want receiving ballpark numbers, and other remaining contractor was also dropped from our list as he wasn't detail oriented as Pasha was. There are couple of things what made DIY Kitchens superior compared to other contractors I worked with in the past 1) Pasha and Tony (project manager) were always reachable. They always reply my calls, texts and emails in timely manner. This was really important to me especially, as I'm busy for my work during daytime, so getting prompt reply was a huge thing to us. 2) Pasha always kept us updated about projected timeline and overall progress. He was always transparent with what was going on with delivery, electric work, inspection, why certain things are delayed, etc. He is extremely organized. Everything is noted, planned at his side, and so is in our contract. 3) Pricing was very fair. His service wasn't cheap but wasn't overpriced either. To us it was very fair pricing, as service we received from him and Diy Kitchens and Baths and final result they delivered to us exceeded our expectation by far. 4) All his workers have top-notch craftsmanship. They were courteous, and most importantly they were on time, always. If Pasha said workers will be in my home by 9:00 AM, they show up at 9:00 AM. No delay, no excuses. All his plumbing, electrical, kitchen cabinet crews and a designer were professionals. 5) Pasha is a good problem solver. We were challenged by couple of underlying hidden problems with our kitchen after demolition, and as our project made progress. He always found some creative way to resolve an issue at very fair cost or at no additional cost. 6) Unlike some other contractors, who will try avoiding responsibility for things that went wrong (could happen in any project obviously, happened here and there previously in my other projects, and some small things went not as planned in this kitchen remodeling as well), Pasha was very accountable and fully responsible for things went not as planned. 7) Most importantly, our remodeled kitchen has beautiful finishes and I am extremely happy with what Pasha and his company did. (see pictures) I would especially like to thank you Tony the project manager that has been with us and make sure we happy with any small detail. The trust he built with us through our kitchen remodeling project gave us enough confidence that he will be a our go-to-contractor for our next remodeling project!- Steven D.

ASheaves Floors LLCIf you're in their service area, don't bother calling anyone else. These guys are great. It's a family business and they really put their hearts into serving their customers. They'll work with you, their prices are competitive, and they do excellent work. They are professional, friendly and polite, and boy, do they hustle. We were in a hurry to get the floors done, but they were booked until September. Jeff (the owner) said they might be able to work in a day here and a day there, between other jobs, which was fine with us (then they had a job postponed and were able to do the job all at one time). They arrived right on time the first day and a little early the second. On the first day, we asked when they were going to take their lunch break, as they'd been working nonstop since they arrived; they already had (apparently one ate while the other worked). They did most of a 1200+ square foot house in just over a day and a half: living room, upstairs hall and three bedrooms, including closets--everything but the kitchen/dining area and bathrooms. Tnat also included removing tile by the front door. We had most of the furniture downstairs on the first day (our daughter had just moved in), and we emptied the living room before they arrived the second day, but still ... a day and a half? The floors were in, shoe mold not only in but caulked, and every mote of dust cleaned up. Outstanding contractors, nice people, call 'em.- Susan B.

ASheaves Floors LLCEvery interaction with Jeff was very pleasant, professional and punctual. Every question was answered with confidence and as much detail as requested. Every date and time committed was met. The final walk through was completed with no quality issues noted and he spent another 30 minutes discussing care and move in concerns. I would have no qualms recommending them to anyone needing floor covering work and plan to use them in the future to help us with re-flooring our basement. Other local vendors quoted slightly lower cost ( about $200) but the difference in price was well worth the professional treatment and quality work we received.- Larry L.

APaul Robbins Woodworking CoThis is an added review for Paul Robbins Woodworking because we hired him to do a much more extensive (and expensive) job following our previous review, that of remodeling our kitchen. Mr. Robbin's work continues to impress us. He is careful, professional, thorough and sticks to the schedule. He is able to bring help in when needed to provide complete service. If he did not hire the help or subcontractor himself, he made excellent recommendations of providers or sources. He is well organized and was able to guide us in scheduling materials. We provided the kitchen design and sourced most of the materials to save money and Paul worked with our plan and materials. He was able to put new cabinetry and appliances into a 60 year old house, making them level and plum. Because of his woodworking experience, he was able to finish trims, spacers, and floor transitions that looked fitted and appropriate to the old and new parts of the house. I would recommend this contractor to anyone who is renovating or remodeling any room in the house.- Sue M.

AD&E Home ImprovementsDave was great to work with from the outset. He provided a fair estimate, and stuck to the agreed budget through the entire project. This was a huge job, and Dave understood how important it was to maintain the home's historic feel. We've now lived in the home for three months, and my wife still raves about it every day. AD&E Home ImprovementsThe bathroom was more beautiful and functional than I could have imagined. This is an old house and much time had to be spent leveling the floor and walls. The tall ceiling was lowered, the tub was removed for a full, walk-in, accessible shower and bathroom with grab bars, a custom cabinet and hamper were installed, and ADA accessible toilet and accessible sink. Despite the accommodations, the room looks as though it belongs in a spa! The floor and walls are tiled, we have an adjustable shower head with hand held options, built in tile seat, and 2 built in cubbies for his and her shampoo, etc. We could not have been happier with the work.- lori r.

ASheaves Floors LLCJeff showed up and gave us an estimate for the work. One room definitely needed a complete refinish - sanding down before refinishing. The other rooms did not need this and could have basically been buffed with a coarse buff and then refinished. however the price difference was only about 200-300 so we opted to have everything sanded and refinished. Jeff and his team were extremely professional and punctual and worked hard. We couldn't decide on a satin or gloss finish so they laid down a coat of satin to give us an idea of how it would look and said they could do the other coats in gloss if we did not like it. We looked at it after it had dried and we loved it! They did the work in the timeframe they said it would be done in. The floors turned out AMAZING and we couldn't be happier! They also offer a financing option through GE. You get a GE credit card, which does have a high interest rate, but to use it for JUST Sheaves then it's interest free for a year if paid in full.- carly s.

AMetzler Brothers ContractorsThe work started in the last week of December, and ran through mid-February. Demolition of old walls and the rough-in of the new plumbing, electrical, and walls took about three weeks. Then, after the inspection, drywall went up and the main fixtures were installed. After that, the flooring and painting came in. We added a number of "extras" including some doors and painting downstairs, once we saw the quality of the work. An extraordinarily job was done throughout. We now have a far more better living space -- and the flexibility to move ahead on a B&B opportunity in our historic Shenandoah Valley town. Everyone on his team was top notch ? highly professional, resourceful, honest, friendly, and dependable. We are delighted!- Mark F.

FThe estimate was a sham - it took two and a half hours - the expectation was, once you put in all of that time, how would you just walk away from a renovation that was more than double of any other estimate, Then, the car -dealer borrowed sham - call into manager to get a better deal - twice!!! And the price was still way over market. But - if you booked it right then, $10,000 less than next day; $20,000 less than 9 months hence. The contractor would not provide an estimate, until you walked through every decision the bathroom renovation would entail. This was disgusting. I think also a sham for seniors. I would not recommend.

AIt was obvious from the minute we met with Aaron Sheaves that he was experienced, patient, and knew how to interpret what we wanted when we weren't even exactly sure! We are experienced home remodelers and it was great to work with someone who completely met our very high expectations and requirements. Aaron was extremely detail oriented and responsive, had great recommendations for products and colors that would look best with the overall vibe of the house, and kept us informed every step of the process with daily text updates/pictures. Project was completed on time. The floors are absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be happier. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement and we plan to hire him again within the year when we remodel our kitchen and master bathroom. We can't recommend Sheaves Floors highly enough!

FI am a 65 year old disabled veteran taking care of my 95 year old mother. We went with Long Roofing thinking we would have a professional experience. Furthest thing from the truth. Install was bad. No communication between anyone in the company to resolve issues. Repair/replace has been pursued since install in November of 2018. Company has refused to acknowledge mistakes even after numerous "inspections", a large number of photos and independent inspector I had to hire at my expense to validate my issues. I have had to go through more than The company seems too busy to take care of their customers correctly. I am still in the process of trying to get my roof fixed from their install and it is March of 2019.
