  • Great! Sullivan gave me the details of what would be done and the option to do parts (that I could handle) myself to save on cost. He and his co-worker got there and got straight to work. With the "pre-work" I was able to do they were done and the water was back on by 4:00 pm the same day.

  • I received 2 quotes from 2 contractors for this work. Evergreen was very punctual, always on time or at least reasonable. Every person interacted with was professional. The sales person came to the house and gave a quote that day. I went to the other company who had already been out and they sent their quote, it was cheaper than Evergreen. I discussed this competitive quote with Evergreen and we worked out some details, I was assured that the job would be done right ,and since the 25 year warranty is reassuring I went with Evergreen. I think in the long run I made the best choice since the 25 year warranty is awesome and the other cheaper company had only a 1 yr warranty, however I would not recommend Evergreen unless you plan on checking on all their work personally. I was very disappointed in the attention to detail of some items, but it was odd because some things were done with a high level of attention to detail while others were not, very conflicting.
    The Story:
    Scheduled for 2 Day job, 3 people, ~900 sq ft crawl space often having standing water when it rained a lot.
    1st Day, Monday - Installation guys discovered that the designed water trenches were not going to work well, they gave me the option to install a 2nd sump pump at no additional cost instead of the additional trenching challenges/risks. It was decided to install 2 sump pumps on opposite ends of the home. (Note: Sump pumps need serviced yearly, the drawback is 2 pumps cost more to service than 1 pump....I think 2 cost around $160, but I will not know till next year) The workers were friendly, respectful, professional, and worked hard.
    2nd Day, Tuesday - It was raining so they decided to delay digging the discharge lines since it would tear the lawn up more. They finished the basic installation and I reviewed it. We discussed several things which I had expected to be different and the workers happily confirmed they would come back to hit those spots when they came back to did the discharge line. Outstanding items were: Needed insulation on one wall near the entry, couple spots needed additional sealing in the cleanspace, that evening I discovered the inside discharge lines had several PVC joints which had not been glued, the standard discharge distance is 15-30 feet from the house but in our quotation process I had thought we had agreed to more, that evening the sales person and I talked and we agreed to a good compromise of 45 feet (I had wanted ~70 to get it behind my garage, 45 was better than 30).
    3rd Day Thurs or Fri? - The third day was just a few minutes to fix the leaking pipes and seal the places in the encapsulation, this was done.
    4th Day Saturday - They returned on that Saturday Morning for a couple hours and dug the trench and installed the 45 foot discharge lines, other inside PVC leaks had been discovered, those were repaired as well. Unfortunately it was also raining this day, there was no sod to put back on top the trench since it was so muddy, I requested they put down grass seed, this is not their normal procedure, but they agreed to come back.  After they left more leaks in the PVC inside were still present.
    5th Day Monday - They sent out another guy not on the install crew, he looked everything over and went back indicating the installers needed to fix their issues, he did not want to fix their issues and did not have the parts he needed.
    6th Day Wednesday? - The original crew returned and fixed the PVC, fixed some issues with the discharge lines and seeded. They also completed the insulation which had been missing. They spent most of the day as a result of discovering that I had a worse water issue than they had initially thought, more trenching was performed under the cleanspace and the cleanspace was sealed up again. I felt much better about the attention to detail and quality of the job after this day so I paid them Thursday.
    Sunday - I found still one more leak in the PVC pipe inside the crawl space, and a very small amount of water still coming in where the new issue had been discovered and mostly resolved on the 6th day.
    7th Day Monday? They sent a worker to go over everything with a fine tooth comb.
    Sunday (3 weeks after start)- It has only rained a little in the week since the final work (7th day) was done and I have not had the time to go down there and check everything out, if there is anything else significant I will have to edit this review and let you know. For now I think things are ok and I feel safe knowing Evergreen/basement systems/cleanspace has a really good warranty. I have been disappointed by their attention to detail, they had to come back a bunch, but in the end I expect a long lasting product, only time will tell.
    Again, everyone was very nice and professional, otherwise I would be hopping mad about this job and the time required of me to keep checking every time it rained but since they were easy to get along with I am patient enough to also recognize that mistakes happen and people learn from them. As a result I expect your installation to go much smoother than mine.

  • Quote process was great, came with an option to install insulation in crawl space, and choice of either cellulose or blown fiberglass into the attic. I opted to just get the blown cellulose in the attic figuring I could do the crawl space when I had more cash and the cellulose is a bit cheaper.
    I see another reviewer recently (Aug 2013) gave Nelligan a less than amazing review when Lowes was the contractor and Nelligan was the subcontractor, the reviewer does not appear to consider that perhaps it was Lowes who made the mistake. Ironically, when I had my insulation in my attic performed I also had a quote from Lowes for this same work (not sure who their subcontractor was going to be) but Lowes quote was in the at least $4,000 range!   I even priced doing the work myself by borrowing the Lowes equipment and I came up with a price 1,000-1,500 for me to do it myself. Needless to say, when Nelligan quoted $770 I had no deliberations, I had them do the work and saved me money and from getting all itchy and hot up in the attic! DO NOT have LOWES or HOME DEPOT do your work, they are just going to call Nelligan or another and you will pay double.
    The men who came to do the work did seem a bit stressed but I am too every time I have to crawl in an attic, yuck. They went about their work well enough. They actually had some extra blown fiberglass from the prior job in the truck hopper which they used up before they began using the cellulose (fiberglass is supposed to be better since it settles less over time) so that was very generous of them. Initially they had forgotten to install the foam eave vents but I mentioned it and they put them in, I see another reviewer had the same issue so as long as you plan to be around or look up there once the work is done no harm, they take care of it even if they forget (only reason they got B for Professionalism otherwise an A). Previously the AC never shut off, now it is insulated enough that the AC works properly and we love it.
    They showed up on time. They did not leave a mess, especially considering the access was in a closet, however note that we tried our best to help them out and the closet was mostly empty. If you leave all your skeletons in your closet they may get a bit dusty, they are blowing insulation with a giant reverse vacuum after all.

  • Jason Williams is very professional.  Experienced in his trade.  I highly recommend him for all your heating and air conditioning needs.  He checked my heat pump for leaks, checked coil and filter for restrictions, checked thermostat for accuracy; found thermostat faulty and replaced thermostat with a new digital thermostat.  He found a faulty contact on outside unit and replaced it.

  • In April 2013 I purchased a Husgvarna zerow turn mower from Hackett.  Good sale, delivered on time.  On September 5, 2014
     I needed service on mower.  I called and was told they would try to pick up mower that day. I assume they did try but no one showed up.  They called about 11:50 AM on Friday the 6 of Sept.  Said they would be here between 3:00-4:00 PM.  No show no phone call.  They called back on Monday 9/9/2014 and wanted to know if I still wanted mower service.  No, I had already ordered the parts to repair it myself.  Did this Friday night after they did not show up.  The reason for buying here to start with was so I could get service, I was wrong again! 
    Maybe they were just too busy to call back on Friday to say they had been delayed, but it left a sour note wityh me.

  • Everything went smoothly.  Called Mr Anderson.  He and an associate were here within 2 hours to measure and determine my needs.  Quoted price, Accepted.  Ordered door and they came to install.  On time. Precision work.  Well satisfied. He and his employees are extreamly nice.

  • Abbott did our original sheet rock work. So called for this repair. He talked for an hour, did repair that looked. Awful. Also refused to give estimate on Sheetrock ceiling sun room.

    Took me 3 days to make the ceiling look nice. Seam pealed.. Had to redo .

  • My water pressure had dropped dramatically. It was a late Saturday afternoon, so most places were closed with only a couple of them listing an emergency number. I called Plumb Care Plumbing and described what was taking place. The person I talked to gave me a couple of different scenarios as to what the problem could be and was very up front about the possible labor cost as it was a Saturday evening. I asked them to come and check it out and they said they could be there in about 45 minutes. The man arrived on time and was very professional and went right to work. The first thought was that my well pump had gone out, but after several checks it was determined that it was the switch on the pressure tank. He replaced the switch, cleaned up everything and had us back to running water. I would not hesitate to call Plumb Care Plumbing again.
