Pet Care & Health reviews in Colonial Heights

The first two Lasa Apsos received exceptional care during their life times. Any time we needed to see a vet, we were able to get an appointment for treatment and received excellent care. When we lost the Lasa Apsos, they were very compassionate and considerate.

I will recommend Col Hts Vet Hosp to all who need a vet the the Colonial Heights area.

    Woodlake Animal Hospital
I heard about Woodlake Animal Hospital from a friend and decided to give them a try. The hospital opened in January 2011 and is, in my opinion, the nicest animal hospital in the area. I took one of my animals there in January 2012. The staff was very friendly and I was seen promptly by Dr. Leslie Jones. I had a chance to talk to Dr. Jones and found out that she has a very impressive veterinarian background. The services that the hospital provides are also very extensive to include acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), herbal medicine and nutritional consults. I was told that when older animals suffer from arthritis, acupuncture can sometimes relieve a lot of the pain. I would have to say that out of all the veterinarians I have ever met, Dr. Jones is by far the most cutting edge vet that has the knowledge and experience to help when other vets run out of options. The hospital is also very nice and clean and the landscaping on the outside is gorgeous. I cannot say enough about Woodlake Animal Hospital and their staff. I wish them the best and I would recommend them to anyone.

    Four Paws Pet Resort
*this is for the Four Paws on Hamilton St in the City of Richmond* I used to take my Lab there for doggie day care at least once a week for several months when she was less than 1 year old. The people there were very friendly and helpfull every time drop the dog off. One day i received a phone call saying that my dog was bitten and that i needed to pick her up. All they told be on the phone was that a Doberman bit my dog and that the bite was small but wanted me to take her to the Vet. My dog had to have 8 staples, anit-biotics, and anti-inflamatory pills which came out to just under $300. When I first called them they were very apologetic and offered to pay for the Vet bill. they told me to just drop of a copy of the bill and they would pay me back. So I made a copy of everything and dropped it off at the store. After several letters and phone calls to the John (I believe is one of the owners) and the store..........nothing. I spent months trying to get some resolution but I never received as much as a phone call back.
