    Davis & Green Inc
I cant say enough about my experience with Davis & Green! The lights in our new nursery were flickering, and we were worried maybe we had hit some wiring when drilling and screwing into the walls. Davis & Green was very responsive and sent someone out very quickly. We worked with Doug Fisher (who was absolutely amazing!) and Dalton DeMay (also great!!). They were extremely thorough in tracking down the cause of the flickering lights and I am so appreciative that they took they time to narrow down all of the options and figure it out. While doing that, they also noticed that our AC unit circuit was tripped and discovered that it was due an outdoor outlet that was improperly tapped into the unit. So that saved us from having to call someone out when it was time to turn the AC back on and discover it didnt work. I dont usually write reviews, but I have also never been so satisfied with a service before! I really appreciated that Doug took the time to explain to me the different things they were testing and looking for, and mostly that he took the time to figure out the source of the issue. It was a huge relief, not only to have the problem solved in a timely manner, but to have found someone we can really TRUST to do a great job. It is obvious that they really know what theyre doing. I would HIGHLY recommend Davis & Green (and Doug Fisher!).

    J & M Electrical Services
It went GREAT! And I would highly recommend this company the owner is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The technician that came out did excellent work and was professional as well. The owner will come out and give you a free estimate. They have fair pricing, take pride in their work, and most important get the job done! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing an electrician.

Installed incorrect kitchen undercabnet lighting then charged me to correct mistake. Increased price of replacing carbage disposal after install. Cost me $ 300 more than estimate when work was completed. Will not use again. Will not recommend.

    All-N-1 Services Inc
When the old wall was being removed, they discovered that a pipe had been leaking and caused a large area of rot and adjoining fungus.  We are thankful that this was found then because when the rot would finally start to be noticed, the problem would have been much larger.  This was repaired for a reasonable price.  Getting rid of the rot slowed down the project as was expected.
The old walls were removed down to the wall studs and the flooring was replaced.  After that the whole shower was tiled, new fixtures, light, and other work was done.  Finally a new shower door was installed; we are also very pleased with that aspect as well.
We are extremely happy with the workmanship of the crews.  However, this company had a problem getting the workers onto our site as promised.  This was due to some problems outside of their control, but we feel that they were overextended and on some days, they did not show up as promised.  .
On the other hand, we were lax in not having an agreed to completion date stated on the contract that we signed.
Still, we highly recommend this vendor.

The job was coordinated via the phone. They responded promptly to schedule an appointment to review the list of work. They were very helpful in examining an electrical system that was over 20 years old, and made recommendations about making improvements to the electrical panel and curing some safety issues. They also made common sense recommendations about maintaining certain connections for possible future work. After the initial site visit, a punch list was provided for the work which was scheduled in the future. The work was completed unsupervised, and the installation and adjustments were all completed professionally. The work was performed efficiently. They are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It is an excellent, classic family business, that instills confidence that they know who you are, as their customer.

    Riverside Remodeling
We love our new kitchen! Most folks comment on the zebra bamboo floors first - but when I mention that the custom cherry cabinets were originally in someone else's kitchen and purchased from Craigslist - they are totally amazed! Tim Evans (Riverside Remodeling) is a joy to work with. We began working together for our bathroom remodel (see my other review for Riverside), but we originally found him because we wanted someone who would be able to rework the cabinets we'd purchased through Craigslist. He was installing the new cabinets in the home where we purchased our cabinets (homeowners were adding onto their house, enlarging the kitchen and wanted light colored cabinets). In any case, while working on the bathroom we had time to toss ideas back and forth about how we might modify the cabinets we'd purchased to fit our needs. He removed our old cabinets, demo'd the soffit and repaired the sheetrock. He installed zebra bamboo hardwood floors, (and, later, painted and reinstalled the base boards and installed bamboo quarter-round as well as cherry heat vent covers which he finished.) He installed 6 recessed lights, the pendant over the sink, the island light and the new fan/light (on an adjustable wall switch) and replaced the ceiling fixture in the utility room. He also added several new receptacles (including one on the front porch) and switches and moved many others. He also installed the undercabinet lighting (came with the cabinets). He relocated my phone line to another wall. The sink wall was the only wall where the cabinets, as purchased, wouldn't fit our kitchen. Tim had to cut down one upper cabinet and extend another so that they would fit our space. He also installed shelves in the lower cabinet areas to the right of the sink in order to fill in the space where my window (and therefore the sink) was 9 inches further left than in the original. I found baskets 8 x 18 inch baskets online to fit these shelves. Also, the original cabinets had routed end panels which had to be filled and covered in cherry veneer, stained, and varnished (in our kitchen we had to swap sides for some of the cabinets - so what was a finished end before was now an unfinished end, etc.). We had extra space on the interior (refrigerator) wall so he built me a pantry with several electrical outlets and a light with switch, installed plywood shelves, and veneered the exposed sides of those as well. I ordered a cherry door for the pantry - he stained and finished that and built a door frame for it. He added three toe kick drawers to one cabinet so that I had out-of-the-way storage for my cutting boards and cookie sheets. We were installing new cherry crown molding - he fabricated the buildup, stained, finished and installed all of it. He installed my new faucet (after granite installation), installed a new push button for disposal and relocated the dishwasher from right to left of sink. He installed the new microwave (came with cabinets) over the new gas range (newly purchased) which he ran the gas line for (we previously had electric range). He installed a new 20 amp circuit for the microwave/gas range and ran two new electric lines. He installed soft-close mechanisms on all the cabinet doors. He painted the kitchen and the utility room and installed our limestone backsplash. I'm sure there are lots of details I've left out - but we couldn't recommend him more highly. It was really hard once he finished the job and we knew we wouldn't see him every day - we threatened to hang a Christmas stocking for him! We had one cabinet door that needed to be made to order on the cabinet that was reworked. He interviewed several cabinet makers, took one of the original doors to them with the specs to have them get one, took the stain to them when the door arrived, and then, when they couldn't get the finish to turn out the right color, went and bought the correct finish and took it to them. Then picked up the finished door and came out that evening to install it prior to a party we were having the following afternoon. He really stands by his work and will do anything for his customers!

    Brooks Handyman Services
I had purchased all equipment and supplies required to do each job and needed someone to do the labor.  He came to my home the day I called (finished a job early), clearly described his qualifications, certifications, guarantees and told me about his other employees.  He completed the work I had planned and returned later in the week to complete additional work for me.  He also provided feedback on other work I'm planning to do around the house.  So far, all the work completed functions, looks good and meets my expectations.  I think his costs are a little high, but if I don't have to call someone else to fix his work, it's worth the extra cost.  Since his company is local, he can squeeze small jobs in at the end of the day and he doesn't charge a travel fee.  I've auditioned quite a few handymen over the years and Brooks Handyman is the only company that will be allowed to do additional work in my home.
