FI had used Blazer to install and service my HVAC units. I also had them do bi-annual service for several years. On my last service, I was told that in repairs to unit that was performing fine. Then, 2weeks later my thermostat goes out. While the service man was there, I looked up the part on the internet and it was $150. Blazer quoted over $600. This type of gouging is unethical. I am not an HVAC guy so putting it in myself was not an option. I am without AC in July so I had to go ahead with repair. I have cancelled my service agreement and will search for an ethical company going forward.- Susan R.

AI was having major issues with a new HVAC system installed and had to escalate to Trane directly since the contractor was unable to resolve the issue. Trane recommended Foster, a company I had previously researched, as the go to company for HVAC and plumbing needs. The service was great and the response professional. At first I was concerned that the price was higher than I expected but after I saw the quality and professionalism of the company I knew the money had been well spent. My only regret was that I hadn't used them from the beginning for all the HVAC work.- David P.

AThis A/C technician was by far the best I have used in some time. He did not try to sell me anything or tell me my air conditioner was in need of replacement. FI called Armstrong at about 8:30am in morning on 4/22/16 to have them come by and look at my A/C unit. My wife stays at home and watches two small children, a 3 month old and a 3 year old. So it is very important to have functioning A/C. I gave them all the details of what was occurring and I was initially told I should have called earlier because they could have put my at the beginning of the day and now I would be at the end. Apparently 8:30am is mid-day (my ignorance). The person I spoke with, Amy, was very friendly. She said someone would be at my house at 3:30-4pm. I said sounds good.
At about 3:45pm Amy called back and said the tech was running about a half hour late. I said that 's fine. Fast forward to 5:30pm I was forced to leave the house due to another commitment. I never received a call back and I was home the entire time. The weekend went by and no contact.
I called Armstrong back again about 8:30am on 4/25/16 and talked with Amy. Asked her if someone would be coming by today because no one showed up on Friday. I also asked if they cold not service me to let me know and i would take my business elsewhere. She sounded surprised and said she would need to call me back and see if she could juggle some things around and fit me in. She called back about 10 minutes later and said it would be the end of the day. I told her OK but I would be looking to see if someone else could fit me in before because i had another engagement at little after 5pm.
I was not feeling very confident based on their first missed appointment that I could make my appointment on time. After I hung up I was able to find another business who said they could come by in the afternoon and would have no problem with me making my appointment. This is very unusual for my to rate somebody poorly because I understand things happens. The problem is there has to be communication in order for expectations to be understood and agreed upon by all parties. I followed back up with Amy and cancelled my appointment.

ACalled at 9AM and service was scheduled for 11AM. Serviceman was extremely helpful and informative and completed the repair very efficiently. I couldn't be more satisfied. So different than the company that installed my unit! I will definitely call this company again when I need service and I will recommend them to family and friends.

AThe technician called ahead to let us know he was 20 minutes away (well within the 2-4 pm scheduled time). Checked outside unit for freon, cleaned coils and around and under unit. Checked inside unit for electrical connect ion checking ampage reading. House thermostat checked. Job well done.- Sue G.

He fixed the air conditioner by cleaning the coils and just charged us half the price

FAfter this company installed a new unit in my former residence, I called them to service a rental property I own in Chesterfield County. The woman who took the call called me back after telling me that service today would be an overtime charge and they could not get there until Tuesday, but then called me back to tell me they do not service Colonial Heights. I had explained that the house was in Chesterfield County but had a Colonial Heights zip code. Instead of understanding what I told her twice, she refused service to the unit. After this I will NEVER call them again. Disgusting! The house for service today is but 10 minutes or less from the one where they installed the new unit. Steffen Meade needs to get a new attitude about valuable customers!- Winnie S.
