    Davis & Green Inc
I cant say enough about my experience with Davis & Green! The lights in our new nursery were flickering, and we were worried maybe we had hit some wiring when drilling and screwing into the walls. Davis & Green was very responsive and sent someone out very quickly. We worked with Doug Fisher (who was absolutely amazing!) and Dalton DeMay (also great!!). They were extremely thorough in tracking down the cause of the flickering lights and I am so appreciative that they took they time to narrow down all of the options and figure it out. While doing that, they also noticed that our AC unit circuit was tripped and discovered that it was due an outdoor outlet that was improperly tapped into the unit. So that saved us from having to call someone out when it was time to turn the AC back on and discover it didnt work. I dont usually write reviews, but I have also never been so satisfied with a service before! I really appreciated that Doug took the time to explain to me the different things they were testing and looking for, and mostly that he took the time to figure out the source of the issue. It was a huge relief, not only to have the problem solved in a timely manner, but to have found someone we can really TRUST to do a great job. It is obvious that they really know what theyre doing. I would HIGHLY recommend Davis & Green (and Doug Fisher!).

It went GREAT! And I would highly recommend this company the owner is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The technician that came out did excellent work and was professional as well. The owner will come out and give you a free estimate. They have fair pricing, take pride in their work, and most important get the job done! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing an electrician.

Excellent! Professional electrician installed a new fan quickly. He was thorough, measured fan so that it was square in the ceiling. He cleaned up the work area and no one could tell work had been done. Outstanding customer service.

Installed incorrect kitchen undercabnet lighting then charged me to correct mistake. Increased price of replacing carbage disposal after install. Cost me $ 300 more than estimate when work was completed. Will not use again. Will not recommend.

When the old wall was being removed, they discovered that a pipe had been leaking and caused a large area of rot and adjoining fungus.  We are thankful that this was found then because when the rot would finally start to be noticed, the problem would have been much larger.  This was repaired for a reasonable price.  Getting rid of the rot slowed down the project as was expected.
The old walls were removed down to the wall studs and the flooring was replaced.  After that the whole shower was tiled, new fixtures, light, and other work was done.  Finally a new shower door was installed; we are also very pleased with that aspect as well.
We are extremely happy with the workmanship of the crews.  However, this company had a problem getting the workers onto our site as promised.  This was due to some problems outside of their control, but we feel that they were overextended and on some days, they did not show up as promised.  .
On the other hand, we were lax in not having an agreed to completion date stated on the contract that we signed.
Still, we highly recommend this vendor.

    Puckett Electrical Service
We had an emergency situation during a very hot week in June when the wires that connected the a/c to the thermostat were accidently cut.  The a/c company that I had a service contract with could not come for over a week, as well as a couple of other companies I contacted.  I called Scotty, and within a couple of days his guys were able to come out and reconnect the wires.  We also had them install an outlet for a dryer.  They were professional yet friendly and we very much appreciated the quickness of their response.

    Woodfin
I was pleased with the knowledge, experience and professionalism of the technician, Scotty,  who replaced our water heater and I would not hesitate to recommend him and Woodfin.  The installation, as well as draining and removing the old water heater, was done in less than a day.  The final charge was exactly as estimated and was a good value.  I would much rather pay a little more and be confident in the quality and timeliness of the installation than go with the cheapest price and have a less than satisfactory installation.
Due to unavailability of a State brand water heater to fit into our closet space, the installation could not be scheduled for 2 days until a unit could be ordered, but once the appointment was scheduled, the technician arrived on time and did a neat and efficient installation.  The State unit that I wanted, with a 10 year warranty, did not arrive on the day expected, so the technician worked with the supply house to find another unit (a 6 year warranty rather than 10 year) that would fit into our closet space so that we would not be without hot water over the weekend.
    Pros:
-Professional and experienced technician, licensed and bonded. We had confidence in his level of knowledge.  He took time to explain what he was doing and why.  He listened to our concerns and addressed them. He had all required tools and equipment on his truck.
-Pricing is by the type of job being done rather than an hourly rate.  Woodfin has fixed pricing by job, so the estimate exactly matched the final charge.  They did not try to add extras to inflate the price as some others do.
-Drained and removed old water heater from a tight space and cleaned up the area.
-Took the time to explain what he was doing and why.  Gave us useful information and helpful hints.
-Competently adjusted piping to fit the new water heater fittings. The new unit was slightly taller and wider than our old one.
-The new water heater is working perfectly.  We are completely satisfied.
    Other:
-Took 2 days before water heater could be replaced and we were without hot water and had the old unit continuing to leak during that time which was an inconvenience.  Background: Water Heater standards were changed in April 2015, and our old water heater failed in May 2015, so we were in need of a water heater at a time when dealers were trying to use up their old stock and hadn't yet received new stock.  The new standards resulted in changes in unit size so that the new units are different sizes and prices than the old units. When I originally called Woodfin, they thought they could do the replacement that same day, but once they got the details of our space requirements, they found that neither they or their local supplier had a State water heater in stock to fit in our closet, and a water heater would have to be ordered and would take 2 days to arrive.  I asked for a 10 year warranty unit as I didn't want to have another water heater fail anytime soon.  The 10 year water heater did not arrive on the day promised, and since we had been without hot water for several days, we felt fortunate that the technician was able to locate a 6 year water heater and install that instead. The job price was reduced to account for the lower cost of the 6-yr water heater.  I was disappointed that we weren't able to get the 10-yr unit, but happy that we had hot water again. During the 2 days we were waiting, we were constantly having to bail out the aluminum pan under our old water heater and clean up water on the floor. We were not able to drain the water heater on our own due to the water heater being jammed into a closet where we could not get to the drain fitting to connect a hose to it.  That was a job that we definitely needed an experienced technician for.
-Estimate you receive is a total by job, and does not include a breakdown of what portion is for equipment and what is for labor. This is not a problem but I'm mentioning it because it may make it harder to compare if you are getting multiple estimates.

We called and they responded in about two hours.  They had all equipment on their truck and the job was completed in about 45 minutes.  They cleaned before they left.  Will definitely use them again.

    Mr Handyman of Richmond
The HandyMan was early which was great because I was home for lunch, we went through all the required repairs needed. I had bought items to use for some of the repair which made it easier. He was very friendly, explaining what he was doing to repair the different things. Upon completion he walked me through for my approval and was finished in under 2.5 hours.
