    I have been a customer of Bob and Carolyn for more than 20 years.  They are wonderful people and do great work. It's also a great place for kids. Both of my sons (now in there early 20s) had their first haircuts there, and they still talk about their fond memories of getting haircuts at Bob's--"Mr. Bob" and "Ms. Carolyn," the children's books, the toys, and of course, the lollipops. My daughter, when she was young, would also tag along, and Carolyn would do her hair.  For anyone with children in Springfield, Virginia, this is the place to get their hair cut.

    She's one of the few people outside of the military base who knows what military qualified hair cut is. Finding that outside of military base, and when you don't have a military base around as you do in Roseville, is pretty hard to find.

    Great! Very flexible. Picked up at our house. Late a few times but that was beyond their control. My daughter was pleased with their service and didn't dread her lessons. Later, we lost her temporary paper license and they went out of the way to get us a new one promptly. Overall, as stressful as this is from a parents standpoint, it was a very pleasant, smooth experience. Thanks. Aloha!

    MAPLE CLEANERS
    I gave Maple Cleaners a shot since it had historically good reviews and great prices. I have to say that I will not use them again after my experience. I had typically used Crest Cleaners since the do a great job, but their prices are simply unrealistically high. At $1.29 per shirt I dropped off a bunch on a Tuesday, received my receipt to pick up complete on Wednesday after 5pm. I came in Thursday morning for Pickup and the clerk said my shirts were not ready. So not only were they not ready on the promise date, they were not ready on the day after. I received a simple and quot;sorryand quot; and decided to leave. No attempt was made to remedy the issue on their part. I had picked up the shirts the next day and they were actually ready this time.
    The cleaning job seemed OK but the ironing was not that good especially around cuffs and had many pressed in wrinkles on almost all the shirts. The customer service component was really lacking as well as basic ironing skills .
    Not that they can control traffic flow, but getting into and out of the parking lot is a nightmare due to the gridlock congestion on Chain Bridge Rd, which was what made having to return twice for them to finish the order all the more frustrating. So they have a great price for below average services.

    FAIR LAKES CLEANERS
    We have been using Fair Lakes Cleaners for five years now.  They have done the best job of any cleaning service of getting my husband's shirts spotless and perfectly ironed.  Additionally the dry cleaning service is wonderful.  I send my comforters to them for laundering and they come back in a nice plastic bag and as clean as can be.  The service is fast, prompt, and courteous.  Surprisingly they know us by name when we come in to drop off and pick up laundry.  They have mended a few garments and hemmed some slacks for me and they also do exceptionally well on those kinds of jobs.  I am extremely pleased with the services I get from them and would not hesitate to recommend them.

    I would give them an "A." They shouldn't improve more on what they do. They're fine and they're great. I don't go back if the place isn't good. I go back regularly. I've been going there for three years.

    They didn't seem to put very much effort into the job. I could've done what they gave me. Certain adjectives were used over and over again the resume. Wouldn't use them again.

    FIVE STAR HAIR - DAY SPA - NAILS
    eI went to Five Star for a manicure because an accident and subsequent surgery made it impossible for me to trim my own nails. On my first visit, things went well, the technician was sensitive to my needs and dealt with my injured hand professionally. The office staff was friendly and helpful. However on the second visit, the man at the reception desk was brusque, he took his time after I arrived, even strolling to the back of the shop to refill his coffee before announcing to the technician that I was there. The technician performed the same excellent service as she did previously. However on leaving the man at the front desk tried to overcharge me for the service, despite the $17.00 price being posted on the windows. After I objected to this, he eventually but reluctantly agreed to charge me the posted price, saying and quot;OK, I guess I can give it to you at that price.and quot;
    This is highly annoying not to mention very unprofessional.

    The woman who did my hair was polite and professional. She seemed to want to please me. However soon after she began working with me another customer walked in saying she was scheduled at the same time. The owner was at the reception desk. She did very little to assist the hairdresser or the other customer.
    The customer approached her after about 40 minutes asking if she would  still be able to do her hair, as she had somewhere to be.
    Once the stylist had finished applying the highlights in my hair she began to cut the other customer's hair. When she returned to me, she looked at my hair for a long time. Shen then stated that I was going to get a "complimentary deep conditioning".
    Long story short... now 3 months later some of the fried frizzy hair is gone after other haircuts from another salon. I would not return there because I did not trust them to fix it.

    Keep track of the minutes yourself so you know how many hours you have used.  When the tutor sits down with you at the end, have your questions planned out so you can be efficient with the time as that is billable time.  You will get an email of all that occurred during the session so you don't need to discuss it all.
