Lighting Installation reviews in Clifton

    Munoz Construction LLC
Jose was a pleasure to work with as was his crew. He explained options for all aspects of the job and gave an accurate estimate. The work was all performed beautifully and professionally. The crew knew exactly what they were doing, unlike others that I had interviewed for the job. For some reason most contractors were clueless on what products to use for placing a bead board ceiling on the porch or how best to put it up, but Jose installed the best product and in the best manner to insure longevity. I also had a leaning fence repaired where the posts had rotted underground, lights hung, wood rot around the back door replaced, and the entire house power washed. They worked efficiently and quickly. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The previous homeowner painted every surface in our house a dark color, and when he covered it up to sell the home, he did a bad job. Color showed through the white paint on our interior doors and the doors stuck because he used the wrong paint. Enter Jos and his team. They sanded and repainted all of our doors and even repainted the trim, even though we didnt ask for that or pay for it. They changed out an entire house of mismatched door knobs and hinges, took off chandelier medallions and fixed the holes they left in the drywall, hung two new chandeliers, fixed loose joint tape on the ceiling in three rooms, patched ceiling drywall where we had a gas line installed, and painted the ceilings where they did work. They were polite, clean, trustworthy, and professional. We absolutely will use Jos and his team again to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms when the time comes.

    Bull Run Kitchen & Bath
Everyone was very helpful and cordial. Tracy, Sana and even the owner were great. Sana is our project manager and keeps us informed daily about what's happening next. His workers are eager to help if we have questions and are always pleasant and smiling. I would recommend Bull Run Kitchen and Bath to anyone who needs work done at a reasonable cost and expects professional results. Their work will more than satisfy even the most demanding client.

They did a superb job. They showed up on time, the work was first-rate professional and they thoroughly restored the surrounding areas. The designs were exceptional (definitely ask for Brittany). We are going to have them do additional work, including a patio. Very highly recommend.

Sam's Home Improvement Inc. completed remodeling our master bathroom and hall bathroom. The master bathroom was a major overhaul of the original footprint. Walls were removed to enlarge the overall size and accommodate the new design. The toilet was relocated to the space that occupied the former small shower at one of the bathroom; the tub and former door was removed to accommodate a 5x5 shower at the other end of the bathroom; electrical wiring was reconfigured; plumbing was reconfigured, and a pocket door was installed to maximum the new design. The former hall bathroom footprint was also enlarged. Again, walls were removed, the toilet was moved to the opposite of the bathroom to allow for easier access to the bathtub/shower, electrical wiring and plumbing was reconfigured to accommodate the new design. Sam and his crew were professional, kept the construction site cleaned up, kept us informed, and ultimately exceeded our expectations. We are delighted with the outcome of the 2 bathrooms. We highly recommend Sam's Home Improvement Inc. as the preferred General Contractor for any size job and home improvement. You will not be disappointed.

    Clifton Electric LLC
According to the contractor, the language in the Angies List offer was "too vague" and should have mentioned that it actually costs more than the $399 to run electrical wires to the spot on the wall that I wanted the switch. I don't fault this guy - he worked his butt off and did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job! So I gave him an additional $60 for his work. To his credit - he was on time, very professional, very nice - and really did great work. But this is the second time in two days that I have experienced an issue with a contractor I hired for an Angie's List "special offer" saying that the price wasn't actually enough to cover the cost of the service. So I am left wondering whether I can trust the "Offers!"

    Century Bathrooms & Kitchens
We could not be happier with the results! Our new kitchen is incredible. When we moved into our townhouse we decided to remodel the kitchen and found Dan and Erika from Angie's List. We met with them a few times prior to the renovation. When they first gave us the estimate it was slightly higher than we anticipated, but they were extremely flexible and willing to work with us to get the price as low as they could. That was one of the reasons why we went with Century in the first place was their willingness to work with us and make sure that we were happy with what was going to happen. When we went to sign the contract they could tell we were extremely nervous as this was our first renovation in our first home so they said they would take off the cost of the painting that needed to be done. In total it didn't save us a ton of money but the fact that they would do that made me feel a lot more comfortable with them. They are real people and not just a company trying to make money. The first day of renovations, they were running a little late getting to our house, but Erika made sure to text me all through out the morning to let me know what was going on, why they were late, and when they would arrive. A little rocky of a start, but things definitely improved. I tried to stop in almost everyday (we weren't living in the house at the time) to check up on things. Kevin, the head contractor, was there almost everyday and made sure that we knew what work was going on that day, what the plan for the next few days were, and that we were involved in the process from start to finish. Although we had a few hiccups with miscommunication about timelines and when things would be finished, the work was completed before their original planned completion date and they were always apologetic about miscommunication/inaccurate timelines (even when it was totally out of their control). By the end of the 4 weeks we were living there and they made sure to keep the house as dust free as they possibly could because they knew we were there. All of the employees were very respectful and willing to answer any and all questions we had. Kevin, Kelly, Kay, Milton, and others who were in and out were always willing to drop whatever it was they were working on when we showed up and answer whatever questions we had. Made me feel really comfortable with the whole process. We could always reach Kevin, Erika, or Dan by text or phone call which made things go much smoother. As I said originally, we could be happier with the results and we most certainly would use Century again

    Adam Contracting LLC
Justin and his team did an excellent job. He listened to what I had in mind and the result is exactly what I wanted. He had to drill into the brick on the side of the house to affix the steel wire so this was not a job I could have done myself. Everything looks neat and the lights are hung securely. He also installed a dimmer switch and cover for the electrical outlet (at my request). He had to come back a second day as the concrete wasn't curing fast enough. He wanted to ensure it would hold the lights. I also asked him to install a light in my mudroom while he was here, and take a look at a broken heat lamp on my deck. Some contractors don't like to be bothered with the smaller jobs - not Justin. He will tackle it all. Super professional and does great work.

    Staples Electric LLC
The Staples Electric crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time and immediately went to work covering the entire kitchen area (countertops, floor, and cabinet faces) with plastic sheeting and organizing their tools and work plan.  The team of Roberto, Darren, and Iggy were very professional and diligent in their work and the result is superb.  They laid out the location of the new recessed lighting and pendant lights, carefully removed all the old fixtures, and began the process of installing and wiring up the new fixtures.  They worked carefully to minimize cutting holes in the ceiling and walls to run the wiring for the new lighting and rough-patched the holes when the wiring work was done (finish patching and painting to be done by a different contractor).  They were true professionals and obviously took great pride in their work.  They took care to keep the work area as clean and orderly as possible throughout the progress of the work. The work was completed ontime as originally scheduled (one day) and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.  Craig Staples, the owner, visited us early in the project planning phase to provide recommendations on the proper lighting to achieve our desired result and provided a detailed estimate for the work.  Craig stopped by during the installation to check on his crew and insure that we were satisfied with the work in progress and the work to be done.  The crew checked all the new fixtures and switches for proper operation and cleaned the entire area before leaving.  We were very impressed with Craig and his crew of electricians.  The price was fair and the results are outstanding.

Andy and his team did excellent work.  He was prompt, courteous, and professional.  The work quality was excellent.  I am thrilled with my new kitchen.  Overall, the job was completed in 3 weeks which was acceptable -- and more than enough time to be without a kitchen.  They worked weekends to stay on schedule.  As a consumer, be sure to know what you want and express which design decisions you'll be making up front.  It will help the process go more smoothly from a pricing and expectations standpoint.
