Top Gun Painting & Power Washing
We hired Top Gun for painting and trim work in our 40 year old (never had been painted) garage. They are one of the best contractors we have worked with during decades of numerous home maintenance and remodeling projects. Absolutely amazing! From the first phone call with Will Williamson to the completion of the job, every aspect was professional. Mr. Williamsons expertise is such that he can see what needs to be done and suggest great ideas. Top Guns price was very reasonable for top quality work. The job included painting walls & ceiling, adding trim, replacing interior door, along with all of the prep (filling holes, taping seams, mudding, etc.). The carpenter and the painting crew took care of every detail in expert fashion. The painters covered everything including the floor with plastic and tarps. What a great result! A beautiful makeover! We will definitely call on them for future projects.

It went very well. Matt is a good listener, hard worker, talented carpenter, and gives very good advice when it came to decisions to be made. We are very happy with our new window seat, crown molding, and paint job. A big improvement to our kitchen!

It was excellent. He is dependable, reliable, and inexpensive. For pricing, an A only because there is no grade higher than A. Somebody else would charge me a call to come out and then a call for the things they did. He doesn't do that, really. He knows I'll pay him. He's the type of person I can leave the key to the thing and then when I come back he'll either call me with the bill and come by and pick up a check, or I'll bring him a check someplace else or whatever. I've used him forever. Approximately July 15, 2015, I used him the first time; I had a home inspection done on a house I was selling. I paid for it so I would know if there was anything wrong with the house that needed to be fixed, and he came out at a very short notice. He came out and did all the work for me and it was fantastic. The buyer decided that since I had my homeowner's inspection and a sheet from him with all the stuff done to fix everything, that he didn't need a home inspection himself. That's the first time I used him. And you can mark everything A. His punctuality was unbelievable. I mean, he came right out and did this instead of making me wait and wait, holding up the sale or the closing of the house. The charge for that was approximately $365.00. There was a long list of repairs from ceiling rot, a tiny hole in the soffit or fascia that had to be sealed up so that squirrels and birds would not get in the roof. There were all kinds of things; painting, little touch-up painting, and minor repairs to the drywall; just a long list of stuff in multiple categories of home maintenance and repairs. My first impression of this provider was that he was very willing to help me in a professional yet rapid way. In other words, it had to be done and it had to be done quickly. He didn't want me to have the closing held up. He got in there and he came really early in the morning, I met him at the house, opened the door, and stayed around while he worked. He was very fast and I was very appreciative. I've had him do so many things like from the most minute things to something major. Approximately October 20 2016, he did the install of all the new appliances in my house. I re-did the kitchen and he did like the microwave install, which was very complicated, and dishwasher, sink, faucets, the light and the switch for the light where the washer and dryer is in the utility room. He just did everything. And he installed my vinyl kitchen floor. The charge for this service was approximately $233.00. I bought all the stuff and brought it to the house, and he and his assistant did the installs. It looked outstanding and everything worked. The microwave worked, the dishwasher worked. Everything was done as required. Grades were A overall and all categories.Approximately June 2, 2016, he built a gate to block the view of my garbage cans. He cordoned off an area and built a lattice work wall and gate for approximately $135.00. All A's. This was between the fence and the corner of the house. He built the frame for it and then he put the lattice work on there. He built the frame around it, like a picture frame almost, and then he had to put the latch on the gate. That was to keep up with H.O.A. standards. It took him a while. He took his time, he did it right, and it looks great. I haven't had one single problem with it at all.

    SJ & Sons Contracting
Painter failed to answer messages. Was due at 9am. Arrived at 1:45 PM. Rushed job, did not tape/cover carpet at baseboards resulting in painted CARPET! Failed to cover my Pennsylvania House dresser ( as SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT) resulting in pain speckles on my CHERRY DRESSER. Painters left actual SPOTS of pain on my carpeting. I am aghast!

Anthony delivered an awesome job! We absolutely love the finished product!! Our home went from dull and dingy to something you would see in Better Homes and Gardens. Anthony was very prompt and courteous and got my husband and myself through the process quickly with no hassles or headaches. We love all the work and especially the custom cabinetry and shadow striping he did in the master bathroom above the wainscoting and chair rail. Anthony makes it look so easy.

Communication: Communication during the estimate and construction phases was very good. Matt insured that I knew what was happening and what would happen next. Due to my schedule, there was a several week delay between agreeing to do the work and the actual start date. Good communication was essential during that time. Professionalism: Matt has demonstrated a very high degree of professional behavior. He is polite while being professional. Matt demonstrated that he had a firm grasp of the scope of work to be performed. At the same time, he provided suggestions which enhanced to end result. Pricing: I got three estimates for the renovation work to be performed. Matts estimate was the best and I felt most in line with the scope of work. Reliability: Matt was very reliable. He arrived at the work site when he said he would and on several days worked well past 5 PM. Attention to Detail: Matt paid very close attention to detail. Cabinet work was beyond expectations. And the finished wall are beautiful. General: I think Matt went above and beyond with all the work he performed.

    Hetrick Painting Inc
Mr. Hetrick was very responsive and helpful.  The first job done was the removal of the wall paper in a downstairs bathroom.  The painter from his team arrived on time and was very meticulous in removing the paper and patching the walls.  He did a fantastic job of painting the room, and it is truly transformed.  I then contracted to have Mr. Hetrick's team to paint the entrance, stairwell and upstairs hall.  Mr. Hetrick came to the house prior to consult with me and see what I wanted.  It took one full day to complete the job.  The painters arrived promptly. This time there were two crew members.  They were careful to remove fixtures, switch covers and the banister going up the steps so they could paint. They replaced everything and cleaned up prior to leaving.  Mr. Hetrick then came by over the weekend to inspect the work and make sure it was done to my satisfaction.   I couldn't be happier. It brightened up a tired, dated space.  Thank you Mr. Hetrick and Team!! Sincerely, S. Foote

    River City Painters
The estimate with Josh was done very professionally.  After some changes with what I needed them to do and on what date, we finally got locked in for the 27th of August.  The crew arrived on time and quickly began to point out areas that already had paint on them, mainly all the wood.  I already knew the condition of my home so this was not an issue.  Josh did a good job recocognizing the flat color that had already been used before and with this new one it was a little brighter which was wanted.
Before the crew arrived, I had covered two pieces of furniture because they were too big to move from the living room.  I am glad I did this because after they were done I was finding paint spots everywhere!  My house has a lot of wood and during the process there was little tape that was used to protect it.  We have spent countless hours removing paint spots from wood since this job was completed.  More could have been done to protect these areas.
When the crew did arrive, only one person spoke English, this being the foreman.  We walked through the house and went over things.  I am glad we did because they wanted to paint my kitchen ceiling but that was not part of the job.  After that, I didn't see the foreman or supervisor until the end of the day.  In all, they started about 0830 that day and completed the job by 4 pm.  I did a walk through at that point in time and didn't notice really anything that needed to be addressed.
During our cleanup we began to notice a lot of imperfections and issues with the quality of work.  To began with, our carpeted stairwell had dried spackel or joint compound in several areas.  This was very hard to get off the carpet, so it was addressed with Josh.  Josh went out of his way to come over on a Saturday and personnaly try to remove the material from our carpet.  He did for the most part, however now the carpet in several areas has carpet loops that are frayed and very noticeable.  That very same night we found another area in our living room and did everything possible to remove it.  It was also discovered that several areas of the carpet had paint spots but those were easier to get up.  Our foyer also fell victim to these spots and they were not able to be removed from the hard wood floor.  Thankfully, they are small enough to be not too noticeable.  This could have been avoided once again by taking the time to tape off the areas and have better drop clothes then what was being used.
Besides spending countless hours removing paint from wood trims, we noticed a lot of the walls had dried paint runs and drips.  A couple of the walls are so bad that I will have to take care of them.  We also discovered a portion of a wall that was completely missed.  This was addressed through Josh and he had the foreman come out and finish that portion.  When I asked him what do I do about all the dried paint drip areas, he said that was normal and just part of the wall.  I dont think this was a good response and I really wish they would have just taken their time and did it right the first time.
While noticing all the paint runs and drips, we discovered a few new dings and dents in our walls that were not there before.  The walls were pretty much in good condition before undertaking this adventure.  I am not pleased with the additional damage done and the overall quality of work.  It almost makes me regret even having the work done.
I entrusted this company to do things right and for the quality to be much better.  I was at my house all day but I did not want to get in their way.  I'm not sure why, but it very much sounded like they were going into rooms that were not being painted, particulary the kitchen because every once in a while I would hear a cupboard being opened or closed.  It was also discovered after they left, our downstairs bathroom had been used and the toilet had urine in places it shouldn't be.
This is totally unacceptable work and the quality is totally in question.  I have to live with what I have now but it looks like sometime soon we will possibly get everything repainted and the damage repaired.
There appears to be little quality assurance with this company.  This needs to be addressed before another person faces the same results that I am contending with.  The age of the house and walls should not matter.  The same consideration should be given to my home just like it would be towards a new home.
