  • Wow! We are thrilled with this company! David Huff is an actively involved contractor and maintains excellent communication throughout the entire process. COMMUNICATION = A+! Unlike many contractors, he will be there when he says he will be there. He does quality work, does his homework in making sure he gives you good choices (like matching a roof for us) and they move fast. Paperwork, finances and all that is on the up and up, clear and concise. His crews are busy, polite and keep a clean work site. We could not give a higher recommendation to David Huff and his company. You would be in good hands if you chose to go with this company. He is honest, fair, reasonably priced and conscientious.

  • The estimate was honored but some of the work was disputed and promptly fixed to my satisfaction.  Get the estimate in writing.  If there are multiple tasks, get the estimate for each task rather than just a total cost for all work estimated.  Take pictures and have a second on the ground review with the estimate to ensure that you and ALS have the same understanding of the work to accomplish.

  • We received several quotes for services, and everyone came in about $3,500 to grade, prepare, and reseed the whole yard, and anywhere from $5,000 to $7,000 to put down sod.? We had on company put in a little sod that was a disaster, and several homes in the neighborhood laid down sod and some took and some did not.? When we bought the house, we asked the builder about sod versus seed, and the builder also preferred seed as he had seen sod die many times as well.? After discussing this with White Oak, they did not have a sod versus seed opinion and would let us make the decision, and we went with seed.? You also have lots of problems raking a yard that has been sodded as the plastic netting they use to hold the sod together easily catches on the rake and tears the sod.? Our suggestion, avoid sod unless they guarantee it for a few years and do not use the plastic netting. White Oak said the yard needed some additional grading to prepare for surface preparation and properly tilled up the yard before laying down the seed.? When they did, they found an incredibly large amount of large stone mixed into the topsoil of our yard, which may explain our difficulty in maintaining the property as we always struggled with weeds and crabgrass which tend to thrive in that condition.? It was very expensive to correct, but White Oak recommended that to do the job right, they would need to cut down 4-6 inches and haul away all the stone, and refinish grade with topsoil to protect the new seed once it goes down.? The cost to correct the stony soil was an additional $5,000.? While attempting to fix our yard, White Oak uncovered and patched a leaking water main.? From what we can surmise, when the sprinkler system was installed, that company broke the water main digging around the irrigation companion meter, and we have had this problem unknowingly for the past seven years. While we still anxiously await the success of our small sprouting seedlings, and wait to see how White Oak follows up on the inevitable bare spots in a project this size, we were very impressed with the team and their input on not only doing a good job, but going above and beyond for the water main leak and making recommendations that will keep our yard looking good for many years to come.

  • It took about a week to complete the job. The team at Bedrock did an exceptional job.  Jason and his crew members were knowledgeable and professional.  There was great care taken to ensure that there was no yard damage.  The 6 piers were installed and all of the brickwork on the foundation was repaired.  With the lifetime warranty that Bedrock provides and the quality of the work which was provided I feel secure that the foundation of my home is now solid.  I would highly recommend the services of Bedrock to anyone in need of foundational repair.

  • Mr. Webb and his associate arrived on time and promptly started clearing out the overgrowth, weeds, etc. from the side yard.  All debris was cleaned up and placed in their dump truck.  They then ground up the seven (7) stumps leaving a  nice smooth and level yard.  Lastly, they did a magnificent job clearing out the three flower beds.  They did a very professional job and would most definitely hire Mr  Webb and his company again.

  • They said there wasn't anything wrong with our foundation, but an issue with our framing. We appreciated that they gave us an honest answer and didn't try to sell us it was something we didn't need. He was very thorough with the job, very professional and kind. He was a very nice person.

  • It went smoothly and Riverside Builders finished the job in time and on budget. When I had a few little issues after we moved in ( like doors not shutting) or a small leak around the chimney, Charles Felts addressed it and had the problem fixed within the week.
I know that if I needed to have any concerns addressed, Charles has been easy to reach and more than willing to fix it.

  • I found the contractor on this website and called him. No one answered so I left a message. Contractor responded immediately to my message and expressed his high motivation to win the bidding on this project. Contractor appeared personally to perform the examination of the property and wrote down carefully all our requests. Contractor provided a quote very quickly. Contractor was reasonably flexible while negotiating the price and demonstrated patience in the negotiation process.
Once the project has started contractor brought a team of 6 workers and was present much of the time on site.
Contractor assisted with delivery of materials from stores.
Contractor was easy to reach over the phone.
Contractor always made sure that what he was about to do is right before doing.
Contractor was very attentive to our requests and did not request additional payment for small changes/additions
Contractor was willing to redo work that was unacceptable by us until reaching our satisfaction.
Contractor demonstrated wisdom in resolving small disagreements and by that not letting them to develop into crisis.
Contractor did ask for the last portion of the payment before all (small) details were completed but did not insist when was explained that all work must be completed before the last payment will be submitted.
Contractor patiently completed all items in the final punch list.
Contractor did quality job on 90% of all items. On things that he is less skilled he put his best effort.
On a personal side - contractor is a nice, easy going man. Pleasure to deal with and well mannered.
Overall, based on my experience in renovation projects, I would honestly say that David is an A+ contractor and he made this difficult experience (of house renovations) a lot more easy and pleasant for us.
