    They are convenient for me. I can pick up my prescriptions when I go grocery shopping or on my way from work. I have been using them for quite a while. I would recommend them. Some of the generic stuff doesn’t work as good as their real stuff.

    I had a very bad experience because they do not contact any doctors outside their particular hospitals. If you have a specialist, they do not contact that specialist. I would use them again in the future.

    Both times, I had catheterizations.  Both times I developed bladder infections. On the 7/73/2012 time,although I have MS, my neurologist was not contacted since he was not have associated with Chesapeake.  The second hospitalization resulted from a 7 hour out-patient surgery.  Rather than admit me, I was "under observation" for 2 days until my surgeon threw a fit and I was the officially admitted.  The nurses at Chesapeake withheld my commonly prescribed MS drug, Baclofen, claiming they did not know of it.  Its purpose was to control spasms in my right foot--the one that had just had a 7 hour surgery.  A spasm to that cast enclosed foot was VERY painful although my pain was controlled between spasms.  The periodic nature of the pain seemed beyond the nursing staffs' comprehension.  Besides, they had an explanation.  Since I was 65, I was considered to suffer from dementia and my requests to contact my neurologist were ignored.  Fortunately, after 3 nights, I was sent to a rehab facility that gave me Baclofen.  I plan to never return to that hospital.

    ANTHEM BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD
    Generally, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield is good at the medical provider point of sale, so to speak, with little complaints about erroneous billing. But I find them a bit tedious in trying to get information. There website for providing an account of services and billing is not very user-friendly. One thing I don't like is that you cannot use Google Chrome...how outdated is that!
    But they do have a good amount of choices for doctors and medical services, which makes them a step above others

    Insurance itself has a number of dependencies.  It is difficult to find providers willing to accept United Health.  In addition, I have never gotten a response back from customer service when I had to contact them.

    wonderful. I love that they take the time to personally get to know my family and our helath issues; we have a case manager that calls monthly for updates on my kids and answers questions I have about their different issues. I love that they give discounts for wellness services like weight loss plans, gym memberships, etc.

    We have had several unforeseen surgeries over this past year (one for each of us) and they have been wonderful about not only approving all the testing and appointments charges, but also in checking on us to see if we are getting the service we need or if we have any questions about our health issues. I don't feel like a number or dollar sign with this company. This has been, by far, the best health insurance company I have had in my adult life. We will not be switching to anyone else as long as we can keep them.

    This is not a policy I would purchase on my own, nor do I think I could afford to purchase it without it being offered from my employer. I feel the premiums of $40 a week as well as the $500.00 yearly deductible for a single person put Heath insurance costs too high. I am satisfied with the choice of doctors available within the network and have never had an issue with a doctor I wanted to see not being in Cigna's network. My claims are paid relatively quickly and when I needed to dispute a claim that was denied for durable medical equipment my appeal was easy to complete and was ultimately approved and I was reimbursed. I also have my dental insurance and short and long term disability with Cigna and have never had an issue with those services although I have not needed the disability so not sure about its quality. Cigna is available by phone 24/7 although wait times can sometimes be long. The phone operators are patient and helpful with dealing with issues. I feel the quality of my coverage and the customer service of which it is offered is great however, the price for the insurance is very high. I have had in the past employee provided health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and, Aetna and all of them were cheaper than my current Cigna policy and offered very similar coverage amounts. Overall, I am happy with Cigna but I just wish the total costs of the policy were more in line with the competitors.

    They have a very good system for signing in and getting your turn. You know what to expect each time you go in. I never have had to wait very long. The most I've had to wait was a half hour for some testing. The staff is very efficient.

    I have no issue with the professionalism of the doctors or nurses, however, after blood work, xray rays and exam, i felt the doctor should have been able to diagnose. Instead, we were sent to city hospital er to have all the same tests done and had to wait three hours to find out nothing was seriously wrong. If you are not sure enough to diagnose...do not practice.

    It is one of the worst health insurance providers.  Unfortunately we are members with them but we are shortly going to terminate our connection with them.  They put everything off on the client and put everything towards deductibles.  We don’t go to many doctors and when we do go, they cover nothing.  Once my husband was in the emergency room they put all the cost on us under deductibles.  Health care policies usually cover half a monogram or most of the monogram; all that we have to pay is the co-pay.  They cover $50, that’s it.  I got them through an insurance person.  They do not communicate, they just send us stuff and they tell us nothing.  Their responsiveness is horrible.  We had to submit our papers thrice only then we got a response from them.  They are good at sending out bills and pinch the people that are paying monthly.
